you need to be more specific because i need everything for cyprus country , i need details how to unlock it with what software and what firmware pls..i need 1,2,3, order how to do it , i doont know what to search because i dont know

You might have to downgrade to 4.1.1?
On my s3 I used
GalaxSimUnlock but needs to be rooted and have busy box installed not sure it works with note 2?

As you were told, you can use the downgrade way from the hidden menu or Galaxsim unlock that needs root and busybox. I used it in my GN-7100 and worked flawlessly. Or you can try contacting the carrier for the unlock code.

i have tried the above methods no one works . is their onother method like combining rom or firmware with kernel and baseband together ? if yes please tell
I thought Glaxsim Unlock doesn't work for Qualcom chipsets (i.e LTE versions of the phones).

I can't find any statements about the bootloader being locked or unlocked on Sprint, only that Verizon's is locked. Does anyone know for sure? I don't want to get stuck on a phone I can't modify.

Well sprint hasn't done it, and for sure Samsung doesn't do it, so I'm gonna go ahead and say no its not locked. Verizon is a **** that way.

Root and bootloader unlock are two different things. I havn't check the dev section but from what I heard the root was for the pre-release ROM, since then Sprint have change the firmware and the current root method doesn't work.
As far as the bootlocker concern, getting bootloader unlock means you can install custom ROM which have different kernel. Say you want a custom rom with Android 4.2 earlier than Sprint release or stuff like cifs module or overclock and etc, then you would need bootloader to be unlocked on the phone.
boot load is unlocked and root is for todays release. chain and i worked on it all night for yas.

Does the Note 2 have the Exynos source out? Aka do developers have full access to the Exynos processor?
Or will there be problems for custom roms? (I heard without the source custom roms would be buggy or not full featured)

hey guys.
i just bought my buddies note 2, and it has some weird custom rom on it.
im looking to format the phone, and install a fresh stock version of android.
is there anybody out there patient enough to assist me? or perhaps just provide me with a noob-friendly thread that will give me the info i need.

If you look for dr ketan's threads he's done a very easy to follow guide on everything root/flashing. Just make sure you flash the right model, don't get the N7100 and N7105 mixed up

I tried to install rogers modem(ROGERS_MODEM_I317MVLALJ2) as my baseband is the same in cwm6 for note2 and it did not work also tried with modem (rogers note 2 Ics ) still the same
It is the small problem but it is really important for me

No that wont matter... is your phone a dual sim? Why are you typing the command?
To check the phone balance (prepiad ) it is not dual sim mobile , it is single sim

I thought with a second sim, it was asking to configure a response from picking the right destination but if its just one sim, then try insert a # or the entire code. What happens?
I use codes like *111# #121# *444# these are the codes required to dial and know the remaining balance on their handsets in country India (vodafone carrier)

I guess it's deeper in the ROM. Not sure what else to suggest or try. You might not have a fix until 4.3 is officially released
I am happy with rom ,sean is god thank him so much ...one day I will donate him for sure since I don't earn now

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with a combination of vodafone/rom... I would check to see if users of the official international 4.3 have the same problem.

Hi!
I use the Note 2 bought in Bosnia for BHT network.
Now I moved to The Netherlands and I can't use the local network because it's locked to the Bosnian network. The standard method of unlocking doesn't work because they seem to have found a way around it on 4.4.2 update.
I am now flashing a 4.1.1. or 4.1.2 on it in attempt to unlock it, and then update up to 4.4.2.
I'm wondering if I can simply flash the Dutch software on it, since I'm here now.
Note: it's a N7100 version.
Boot into download mode and check the real model of the phone before attempting any flashing. ...most note 2 phones have n7100 as their model but they are not.
