Touch "Google services" on your phone, under the battery setting and take a screen shot.
It often says what's it doing.
If you have sync on, it might be that

Has there been a fix / work around for this bug? I searched and saw a few posts back in November but could not find a solution. Basically the screen will come on by itself and when it times-out is flicks off for a second then back on. Not even the power button will keep the screen from coming back on. Lastly I cant post in the dev section until I have 10 posts.
Check the day dream and make sure it is disabled. Also this shouldn't be posted in the dev section, like at all, thank god for the post limit.

So if you type note followed by some words when you search it gives you a timer or allows you to press save now. It then says sensing message. .. After a second or goes back to the main Google now menu and that note is nowhere to be found on my phone, please someone try this and let me know what you find I would like to be able to use Google now to save quick notes via voice. Thanks

Thanks didn't think to look there
So this might be a dumb question but I've looked all over the place. I have a Jedi X11 ROM on my Note II T-889 and I can't seem to find the call settings. Reason being is that I keep getting charged for call forwarding and the MPI codes from the cell company I'm with won't work to shut it down. I've done them all. They are blaming the phone and I can't find any settings within the phone to shut it down. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Those settings can be found in the dialer application

Individual apps override the settings. Check the app making the sound.

Damn, that is strange. Have you tried a factory data reset or Odining the stock image in to see if that resets it?
Once these guys release how their exploit works....
is there any way someone might be able to come up with a way to remove the "SYSTEM" tag from some non-essential apps (ChatOn, most of the Samsung bloat, etc).
I have disabled most of the apps - but there are some that wont disable. I would like to be able to disable the remaining ones. . . .
I believe this should be in the Q&A section buddy

That supposed bluebox scam is just a hoax. There have been ways to get around the signature checking since Android development started, and it has nothing to do with Android itself.
That said, their "discovery" has nothing to do with the context you're bringing it up in.
The Thanks button is just to avoid "THANKS" posts in threads. Don't defeat the purpose of why it was introduced.
