After dozens of attempts, I can not recompile the SemcPhone.apk
If anyone can help me by explaining the error

Delete the following folders and then try -
1.All folder starting with "values-mcc454".
2.values-pt-rpt
Then it will recompile properly. These folders are translations for some other language. I am not sure if the apk will work properly but no harm in trying

Ummmm.. 7zip! Lmfao
Contacts.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/contacts_default_*.png
It should work like that right? Even though its odex version. Because I always had problems when I used 7zip and replaced some png images on odex files..

Deodex the apk (contacts/phone apks & dependancies), make your edits, & re-odex? Or just go deodexed? xD
Sorry for l8 reply, been busy & hardly on xda xD
Yeah if needed, apk sign it. There are a couple new ics work around out. I am actually going to rip it open soon and change the picture compression. Those pictures in aosp are too big!

Just a simple mod that will keep the clock in the pull down present no matter the clock option you chose, including hide clock. Nothing else is included or changed.

Hi, stupid question. How did you manage the change the battery png's? I tried but can not find the location of the 204 png's in the SystemUI.apk
Thanks
I´m sure he flashed a theme for theme chooser.
But normally you´ll find the png´s in /rey/drawable xhdpi folder

Hello Lichti, I also already followed your MOD's; nice jobs you did.
I know that I can find the png's in the xhdpi folder but in the case of CM ROM's not. I managed to use a Battery_Mod tool from the command line but the size was not ok. On AndroidME, I just pasted the pictures I liked. I also need to mod the stat_sys_battery and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml's..... and can't on Ubuntu....
Updated. Please stay on topic, thanks.
Note: Don't let the fact that you're opening up a command prompt or editing .xml files scare you. It's quite simple! In fact, if you follow what I do step-by-step: this will work for AOKP Build 5 without any changes.
Other ROMs will have different layouts. But they will always (that I've seen) be localized in four to six files that reference to a "keyguard."
The edits should be fairly obvious. Look at where the brackets start and end: along with what they're calling.
I encourage you all to post your .zips here since I'm no longer doing this.
Please rename them so users can easily find one for their build and device.

Write folders name, not the path.
If you choose XperiaS then write only "Xperia S"

I own a Galaxy Ace IIx and I would like to remove two menu entries in secsettings.apk (my ROM is deodexed). I already know how to decompile it with apktool and I know how to edit XML files once the app is decompiled but I don't know where to look (in which XML file), in order to remove these two two entries.
Here's a screenshot, I circled in white what I want to remove:

Does anyone know where to look? It's just that those two menu entries requires SamsungApp to be installed in order to work but I removed SamsungApp because I wanted to debloat my phone. Now the SecSettings app crash each time I select one of those entries. I know it's just a minor hassle but anyway, maybe someone can help me..

Whoa, I failed trying to address the same issue (in Gingerbread though)...
Apparently, the security section isn't generated from a single file but from a sequence of them... and I haven't found the Samsung part either...
For now, the stock ROM isn't so bad after removing all bloatware but I really hope the CM11 version will be completed soon. There's already someone doing great work on it, but bluetooth isn't working yet.
