The B-Team presents: NonSense - AOSP vivow 3.0.xx
This kernel is built using evervolv's 3.0 kernel as a base. The contributors are @brymaster5000 and @bsmitty83. Although bsmitty is faster at getting updates. This kernel is works on 4.2 and there is also a 4.3 kernel.
Thanks:

Ha, definitely already a lot of governors and schedulers already in there.. Just not turned on. Only added vr and smartmax. I also added vdd but it didn't stick...must have missed a setting in the config file.
There is still plenty for you to do bud.

Yes, using the "anykernel" script on installation it will support most any rom as it keeps the rom's ramdisk intact for highest possible compatibility.
I personally run an excellent (gsm only) aosp rom.
It'll run on cm9/(+kangs), aokp, aosp, like i said, most anything.

Better is a subjective term. You'd have to try it yourself to see if it is really better for you. But typically I believe Morfic goes for a lean and mean approach. Not a lot of unnecessary mods and a lot of undervolting and overclocking.

Will having your app and francos both installed at the same time affect one another? Or would you recommend uninstalling the one your not currently using?
I'd recommend uninstalling the non used one...seems in other trinity thread its a common issue.
Be sure to give trinity a good day or two of use. Yes the colors will be different than what your used to. But after the first day...everything else looks wrong except trinity colors.
On the ns4g trinity is a lean built kernel. Usually gets strong battery with impressive performance....even at regular CPU speeds. I regularly had a 1.1GHz kernel that performed as well as if not better than other kernels at higher clocks.
From what I've seen so far with the gnex things seem to be the same standard.
Last but not least....we get Dune references on a regular basis. /case rested

Example: I'm using TUV alpha 1 and on Aokp #34.. Running 345/902 conservative and Im at 2 hrs 16 mins w/ 61% left on round #1 w/ wifi on the whole time. No lag or sods. My kernel of choice w/out a doubt! Fast usb charge (Trinity toolbox app) works just like it says too. FAST! (edit added text) Phone has never been this cool either.

As of right now there are minimal graphic changes to the rom. We are currently hard at work developing custom graphics for the UI in this rom. Expect many changes as we retain your feedback.
.:SAMURAI KERNEL CHANGES:.
~ removed 200mhz (until I have time to code it better) (06-25-2012)
~ built with linaro 4.7 toolchain
~ added 200MHz, 1.55GHz, 1.65GHz (200mhz seems to be sketchy on some devices, as well as some of the higher freqs.)
~ upped GPU to 512
~ added more governors

The whole thing is built with linaro. The begining screen artifacts are normal.. i got them too. Just load things up and when it settles reboot, and thing should be good to go. Make sure to make 350 your min... 200 is too low for certain phones. Earthbound will be pushing it up to 250 to stabilize that in a future build im sure. Thanks for the feedback guys currently working on the theme for this ROM... it will be a deep cyan color.. for example
MMS & camera work for me..

Just wonder if I can use this kernal with paranoid rom?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Hello. This is a kernel I've made for the T999 to learn more about kernels and also to enable some features that I wanted. I built it on top of Romanbb's Adama 003 kernel, so please go thank him there.
My philosophy is to build a stable kernel that is tuned for real-world performance and not benchmarks. I have been running this kernel for a while now with great success, but as usual I can't be responsible for anything that happens to your device.
Features
Insecure
Patched adbd
init.d support
OC to 1.89Ghz
L2 Overclock
UV/OV
Add smartassv2, interactive, and conservative governors
BFQ,SIO schedulers
Patched up from 3.0.8 to 3.0.40
TCP proportional rate reduction
ARM topology support
Enable RCU_BOOST
IPv6 privacy support
NTFS/TUN module support
thermald tweaks
New in R3
SIO scheduler
Patched from 3.0.36 to 3.0.40
Insecure adbd binary (adb remount command now works)
Default scripts now executed before init.d scripts
Notes
Samsung's proprietary exFAT modules will not work with this kernel. Make sure your SD card is FAT32 or EXT4.
Please don't flash this if you don't know exactly what you're doing as I'm too lazy to include n00b instructions.
You should already be rooted and have busybox installed into /system/xbin before flashing this kernel. As always, wipe all caches after flashing.
I recommend tuning cpufreq with init.d scripts instead of apps.
Credits
Thanks to Romanbb for the initial kernel including OC/UV/OC hacks. Go thank the guy.

No, this is T999 (TMO) only. It is my understanding that the I747 variant in particular is only minutely different, but they are not interchangeable. I'd compile a version targeting the I747, but it looks like you guys already have a nice kernel with most of these features.

Is it possible to add the 2-way call recording patch to the kernel to use skvalex's call recording app? It's supposed to work on Snapdragons, so our T-Mo SGS3 should be compatible..

Sorry, I forgot to mention that this kernel does not have exFAT/FAT64 support. The exFAT modules are proprietary Samsung modules and they can't release the source due to Microsoft's licensing scheme. I tried force loading them, but they still fail. You'll need to use FAT32 or ext4, etc.

What are the differences in the kernels?
AOSP = This is AOSP specific and includes the standard AOSP boot.img and ramdisk etc.
All Roms = This will actually just replace the raw kernel image itself in your current running boot.img, preserving your ramdisk and repacking your existing boot.img so in theory this 'should' not 'will' work with ROMs other than AOSP. No guarantees.
ALT = These are Alternate kernels with some commit reverts for those having capacitive buttons not working issue, this should solve that issue. (Doesn't apply to ICS and is probably not need for JB either, this was a Note issue)

Does it really make a big difference? There was another developer made the same kernel using all the current available toolchains on a few devices. We found out that Google's 4.7 toolchain was the most stable and having a slight edge on battery life. All the kernels were pretty much equal in performance.
