[Q] Xperia S - Bricked in stock rom, unable to use flashtool to recover

My xperia S got bricked. I haven't changed anything from the stock. I need to recover it.
stock ROM
bootloader not unlocked.
red LED glows. battery doesn't charge.
every 10 mins, the phone tries to boot-up, but only black screen (with backlight). Once the battery drains, it goes back to red LED. charge stays for 2~3 mins.
Things I have tried.
1. Flashtool - Unable to get into flash mode.
2. Fastboot - Able to get into fastboot mode. BLUE LED comes up. But since its an UNROOTED phone, unable to flash the kernel. Flashtool logs says so.
3. I followed the detailed "{RECOVER SOFT-brick}[2012 XPERIA's]Recover ALL 2012 XPERIAs from SOFT-brick" tutorial. No luck.
What I want help with
1. Can I recover the phone through fastboot? Even if my phone is not rooted?
Hope someone can guide me.
I dont think you can use fastboot on locked BL, wish you luck

thank you. so fastboot without an unlocked BL is pretty much a dead end, I suppose. Would you recommend some other steps which I can try?

Exactly, there HAS to be a defect in the model. I remember that Chainfire found a defect in the Galaxy S3 which caused the phone to brick itself after 6 months. Samsung acknowledged the bug and fixed it. Eagerly hoping that someone does that for our phones too. Maybe DoomLord will come up with something..

Don't worry, your phone is almost recovered!!
Just read this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36605155
It is a problem in loader.sin, so I suggest that you download this ftf - http://ni.0a0.in/files/3432_kznsa/LT26i_6.1.A.2.55_SG Generic (1257-6921).zip
Extract the zip to get the ftf. The led will remain green thorughtout the process.

There is good news and bad news.
Good news is successfully flashed new stock ROM into the xperia
Bad news is that it still not switching on.. It is stuck at "Black screen with backlight on, bootloops with RED LED". No screen at all.
Considering the chances, do you know how I can identify if its a faulty screen issue? Anyone came across that?

The second last line says " For flashtool, Unknown Sources and Debugging must be checked in phone settings", I don't know if this means that the flash was unsuccessful.

Yes, the flash was successful. Device should have booted normally now.
To be completly honest im quite noob, im not a dev or anything like that, i just tried to help with knolege asimilated from xda by reading threads,
Im hardly a litlle advanced user considering the average people which dont root and presonalizin their phones, and thats all,
Glad if i helped a bit, but better listen devs and see if they can resolve your trouble, good luck
I am convinced that this is a major flaw/defect in the Xperia S model. I am very much determined to find out why these bricking incidents are occuring.
Make sure u have ticked all wipe data, cache & all other unchecked. The phone will definitely boot

Hi all.
One of my friend ask me to install a custom Rom on is Xperia Play. (I already install CRom on a xperia x1 in... 2009? but all is different now ^^)
I have the Mobile with me.
And I listened a lots of topic and I don't know where are some information on the gsm.
I found this on the settings:
Android Version : 2.3.2
Build : 3.0.A.2.184
My friend will love to have CyanogenMod Rom and base on android 4.x at least. So not really an amazing ask.
So, please tell me if I understand well:
I need to found the good apps to flash the FTF (I don't know what is FTF)
after the good apps to flash JB Kernel
Format the cache and the system (but how? i don't know ^^)
Install the Rom with an SD card
And if it's need the G-apps
Do you know where can I find a topic with all explication ( since A to Z ).
And explain me wich apps I need to use and why?
Thanks a lot !
(Sorry for my English, I'm french :/ )

It's not (more) dangerous to Downgrade a FTF ?
Im' in "R800i_4.0.2.A.0.69_World.ftf" the phone block again in SE logo.
But I do the 2 step its OK (don't boot again)
I try the Third now
EDIT:
I try this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333979
So I Flash with the Kernel Lupus V8 (480p) = All ok
Now when I turn on the mobile:
1 vibrate
Logo Lupus
2nd Vibrate
(and loop back) or if I keep push the down button a menu ask me which boot I want (1,2,3,4) or setting menu or credits information.
Question:
Where I found the wipe option ? ^^
EDIT 2:
Finally I founded. ^^
So .. No I had Install a new rom they work now ^^ I think when I update the FTF this broke the system. So we just need to do all step until the end
Thanks a lot man !

[Q] Fixing a LT26W, need some help to finish it

Hi,
It's been a while since I flashed/rooted a phone. I'm fixing my nephew's LT26w which got water damage. Got everything on the hardware side working (except the camera key, where the gasket is missing).
It appears that the bootloader is unlocked. I tried to update the device OTA to the .200 update which it automatically found. But I'm getting error messages that the update can't proceed because the device has modified software.
So I tried to get this device back to basic, and then update to the latests ROM, 211 (or 196). I got 200 working on it, but the wifi is just not turning on. It worked on the previous rom. So it's not a hardware failure.
I think that I'm missing a great part of knowledge on ROM compatibility on this device. So maybe there is a specific rom/region/type that can only work stable on this device.
Rooting didn't go successful. I tried the method where you start of with the docomo rom, ADB step 1, 4.0.4 rom, ADB step 2. But that one failed.
I got the flashtools drivers installed properly on Windows 8, and the device has the latest CWM installed. However I can't get CWM to recognize any ZIP files on my SD card.
The device is the following build: LT26 - 1266-3364 - Xperia acro S LT26w/Mobile Phone/TRI/Bla
Can somebody put me on the right track how to proceed?
Thank you!
a little update. After flashing to 200, the battery doesn't seem to hold enough charge and stays at 0%. I just retried flashing it with stock 211. Here's the log:

Now the device won't turn on for the moment. I guess battery depleted again. Showing only red led during charge. Is the flashtool log reliable?
already try hard reset??
hold power + vol up.. wait until 3 vibration..
or try this :

Tried that already. But it seems that it was a combination of battery and charge failure. Somehow my phone couldn't charge more than 1% with .200 rom. Luckily 1% was just enough to flash the stock 211 rom. After that it depleted, and had to wait three hours again before getting some vital signs from the device. It is now 100% charged and working for the moment without any flaws. I hope the problem remains resolved.

[Q] Can't flash brand new Z1C?

Picked up a Z1C a few days ago, branded O2 (UK).
Installed Sony PC Companion, I believe the drivers are loaded, installed Flashtool 0.9.16.0 (64-bit) and the Z1C/Flash drivers as instructed.
When I hook up the phone with vol down, device manager shows up a 'semc flash' device, or similar. Flash tool detects it.
When I try and flash the UK generic ROM, I get this:

I think your best bet is to try PC Companion. Install program, and go to update tab and look for repair phone. If it's new, it should be locked and PC Companion will re-install stock FW.
That's the problem that I originally could not update the firmware via PC Companion, it shows an error. So I tried to upgrade through the ft
Are there any alternatives?

[Q] HELP: Xperia M dual - "Type password to decrypt storage"

Dear Sirs
I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
I purchased sony Speria M Dual in Dec 2013.
In the month of march 2014, Phone developed a bug. One morning, when i switched on the phone after charging, phone is showing following message " Type password to decrypt storage". However, i had not set any password.
Then i took this phone to service center in Mumbai. After 15-20 days, they informed me that phone's mother board is locked and they have to change the motherboard to correct this error. And they also informed that changing mother board does not fall under WARRANTY. So they refused to solve the problem.
Phone is not rooted, Bootloader is locked. Phone is running on stock firmware...i think 4.1.2
I have tried flashing the phone thru PC companion ...but it says "update unsuccessful".
I have tried flashtool also...but again not successful.
Phone is not entering into Recovery mode.
I request you to help in resolving this problem
Regards
Kapil
Common problems disappear when flashing hh use flashtool.
Can you give me log in flashtool?
Sory for my engelish
That's nonsense! They're just basically going after the money. You don't have to replace the motherboard, that's rubbish. All you have to do is to download Flashtool by Androxyde, make sure that you have installed the proper drivers, download any FTF from the Android Development section that suits you, then flash it. If you need a more detailed explanation, then just reply...

Yes, please do post your log fron flashtool. what sony has said is a load of bullcrap, the warranty should cover it, your phone is faulty. Just for my own curiosity, do you have the adb drivers for your phone installed? And also which drivers did you install from the drivers folder in flashtool?

Okay, from the log it shows it can't flash the kernel from the ftf. Download a 4.2.2 ftf (the one for your device, 4.1.2 is for the single SIM) or a 4.3 ftf for the dual SIM and try flashing them. Post the logs, preferably in text format rather than picture format, if you get more errors.

Ok, i think i know what you might be doing wrong. Just tell me, (1) do you first press flash and wait for it to tell you to connect your phone.(2) Or do you connect your phone in flashmode and then press flash.
Just tell me 1 or 2

Download the firmware what you are currently running (15.2.A.1.12) and then press the lightning bolt in flashtool. Then click flash mode and then select the 15.2.A.1.12 firmware. Click the checkbox next to kernel and then click flash.
It appears as though your device is going into a read only state once it tries to flash the kernel.
