Just killed my phone. I updated ROM Manager and flashed (updated) Clockworkmod recovery (I wish I didn't). Now I have LG logo over my screen i nothing else. I can't enter recovery mod. Logo just stays there. OS is ARC XP 1.3 (cynogenmod 7.2 based). What to do? First time I tried to make recovery in ROM manager months ago I bricked phone. Solved that and everything was OK. Flashed ROM several times since than. Now it's dead.

(this may of been asked before, but I havent found it yet)
I have a UK HTC Desire Z (Simfree). Until around 3 days ago, I didnt want to root it and mess around with custom roms. When I finally decided that il just flash a rom to it (as ive now got a shiny new Galaxy S 2), i was faced with a maze. and three-quarters.
I had it updated with the OTA update when it came out, and found out that its impossible to root that, so i downgraded to froyo using a thread in xda developers and the stock rom -

After doing that, I set about rooting the device with VISIONary. All went fine.
When I wanted to put ClockworkMod recovery onto the device, thats where im completley baffled.
I got the program 'ROM Manager' off Android Market, and then flashed the recovery thingy onto the device. yesterday night when I was doing this, i was getting a phone and a red triangle with a ! and didnt know what to do. Then i found a menu (Think it was called 'Android Recovery' or the like) and didnt know what to do. So, I reflashed the stock froyo rom (mentioned before) and started again.
When I rooted this time, I used a guide on Cyanogen Mod - http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HTC_Desire_Z:_Rooting and it all went sucessfully. MD5's matched and everything.
I installed Clockwork Mod (Using ROM Manager), but when i try to boot into the Clockworkmod recovery thing, I get that red triangle and ! thingy mentioned before.
After I reflashed stock froyo AGAIN, i got the clockworkmod menu, BUT when i selected anything and pressed the power button, it just took me to a screen with the ROM Manager logo and thats it. Nothing else happend.
I also tried flashing a rom by selecting it in the ROM Manager App, it basicilly rebooted the phone, and reinstalled Stock Froyo all over again.
Can someone PLEASE Help me, Im pretty much clueless now. All I know is the phone is 'S-OFF'. Any help would be great!

When you press the power button in cwm, it takes you back and since there is nothing to go back to, it just takes you to the cwm logo screen. Just push the trackpad to get back.

im not positive as its been a while but i think ur gonna have to flash the recovery via terminal first, and there should be apost on here for that

I actually had a case of clockwork gone wrong on my G2. I'm assuming you have basic knowledge of adb, so try pushing the ckockwork recovery.img via adb. Solved all my problems, can't boot to stock recovery if it doesn't exist

custom rom install problems
i tried installin the virtuous sense roms but weneva its done installing it and press reboot now the htc logo will come up the fone will vibrate and den go right bak to clockwork recovery. Wat can i do ??

But today I installed the CyanogenMod 10.1 + the google apps thorugh ROM manager, everything went fine it got installed, and then my phone restartet. When it had boot up, it asked me for pin code. After that it came up and said com.google.process.gapps has stopped, and when I pressed ok it came up and said Setup Wizard has stopped. I tried to boot the phone into recovery mode, with no help (correct me if I was doing it wrong, but tried all combinations), so now Im pretty screwed, how do I fix this ? Please explain it as you would for a child, as Im pretty new to all of this.

Didnt u look around this thread before playing with system files...!!!
Have you unlocked your bootloader and installed custom recovery...??

I read it, and yes I have unloacked bootloader and installed ClockworkMod Recovery, so that should be fine?

hey everyone ive got a bit of a problem, my phone had the cm 10.3 nightly from the sept 4th installed. anyways my battery died and when i went to go charge the phone it wouldnt boot up.... the samsung galaxy logo would display then nothing. so i tried a factory reset which fixed it for the first boot, restarted to make sure it worked and; same problem. any ideas?

what recovery are you using? and also you mean cm 10.2 am i correct? or 10.1.3

yeah woops 10.2 and im using the proper recovery for this version of cm... ive had bad flashes before so i know to follow instructions to a t. ive tried re flashing it but that didnt work so i completely formated and downgraded to 10.1 stable until i can fix this.
Hey,
I had AOSP installed on my ascend p6, everything working no problems at all.
Suddenly when I was a week on vacation when my battery died it wouldn't get passed the rom loading screen.
I have TWRP 2.7 and have wiped everything and everything over and over but nothing is working. I am now trying to install The lastest aosp sincde OMNI and CM11 didn't work.
Any help how to fix this? it keeps happening at every rom I install.
Little update:
I just tried reverting from twrp 2.7 to stock boot and recovery and I think I just bricked my device Can;t get passed the huawei ascend screen.
I wanted to reinstall the 118cn from stock recovery. is there anyway to fix this? Thank you!
UPDATE: Okay somehow after rebooting it around 20 times with fastboot, recovery and other combinations it is now booting I think. Praise the lords. It is now optimizing the apps
I have no idea what I did but I will post an update when it is done optimising
UPDATE UPDATE: Okay the weirdest thing just happened and I don't get this at all... I have wiped my whole phone like 5 times. with itsto and exsto. but somehow I now boots with all my apps, settings and launcher intact and inplace... I even installed multiple roms trying to make it work. WHAT IS THIS MAGIC?!
I know I shouldnt do this but I am going to re-install twrp 2.6.*.* and then pushing it to 2.7. Wish me luck! (following the excact instructions to make it work haha)
UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: Okay, After seeing the wi-fi not turning on I tried rebooting my phone now it is stuck at the huawei ascend screen.

Jelly Bean China stock roms can brick device (lots of users on xda got their device bricked). If you wanted to unlock, best to use KK China.

Will try! I thought I was passed this haha. When It starts i'll try to figure out a way to install it probs trough adb fastboot. since I can't get to the recovery screen with buttons
Update: Okay I managed to boot recovery up trough adb, It automatically started installing the update.app package.
I am now hoping for the best, one good thing... My phone was luckily already in unlock state
UPdate: Succesfully flashed my phone the stock with unlocked bootloader!
UPDate: And now on omni rom Everything is working fine!
hi friends.. basically i am unable to install any new rom on my Redmi 1s, I searched almost everything but couldn't find the solution.. so i am posting it here... i will try to describe my problem below..
Back a few months i was using CM 12.1-20150603-UNOFFICIAL-armani.. then a OTA update came i installed it joyfully.. but my joys didn't last longer as a noticed that after booting my Wifi always shows "Turning WiFi On" but never got really opened. So i flashed back to old version... Then i installed Xtreme Music Mod and and the Earpeice Speaker went off... So i thought of flashing again, This time I flashed Flex OS.. was sucessful and then days later i installed xposed and got struck in bootloop due to an improper mod... due to my noobness i staraight away tried to flash flex OS again and then the install was successful but after the initial boot phone worked for like 30 seconds then freezes and reboot.. this happened again and again untill i flashed the CM 12.1-20150603-UNOFFICIAL-armani again... in middle of all this i tried using Multirom but was unsucessful....
And NOW MY PHONE WON"T ACCEPT ANY ROM OTHER THAN CM 12.1-20150603-UNOFFICIAL-armani
I tried changing recovery, gone through the Fastboot flashing and doing things a fresh
but every time i install a rom My phone either freezes on "ANDROID IS UPGRADING" or it boots completely and then freezes and reboot...
I hope someone has a solution for this.. coz m dying to use MM ..

*go to cm12.1 thread
*download and flash firmware.zip from post #3 and flash it
*wipe all in twrp(leave internal,external,usb otg)incase you want to wipe internal too,don't forget to make a backup before on pc.
*flash R31+5.1.1 gapps(i will prefer open gapps)
*wipe cache and dalvik
*reboot
