[Q] Wifi Authentication Problems

I have ZL C6506 on Bell Canada, running 10.1.A.1.395 and when I try and reconnect to my wifi or any wifi for that matter I get Authentication Problem
I try the forget option and reenter password same issue
turn wifi toggle on and off same issue
I can either use airplane mode or switch the phone off and back on and it immediately connects
I never had this issue originally it occurred after I did a factory reset.
I have tried doing the repair through the Sony pc companion and the issue remains

Wifi issue after upgrading LT26w to JB 6.2.b.0.200

Dear Sirs;
I have updated my Acro S from ICS to JB 6.2.b.200 thru SUS, after the upgrade wifi stops working when inserting any Syrian GSM SIM (417 01 - 417 02 ) or even after switching the phone off then on wifi will not work since the Syrian SIM is inside the mobile and the mobile is connected to the 2g or 3g Syrian network and when trying to switch wifi off the mobile freezes about 30 seconds and gives the following message: phone is not responding press end process or press ok to wait, ( I have to pull the SIM out and reboot or activate airplane mode to use WIFI after rebooting the phone) , this is a common problem in Syria for all LT26i & LT26w mobiles that got Jelly Bean update, ( we cannot express our joy& happiness besides the current situation here). someone says that it is a region code issue ......, i tried to put another SIM belongs to non-Syrian GSM operator the phone worked perfectly without any problem
since we don't know whether SONY Corp. is going to think about solving this issue or not within one week, two months, or ignore us.... I kindly ask the expertise here in this forum to help us and explain the easiest way to downgrade the mobile software from JB to ICS with locked boot-loader in order to get ride off the gift presented by SONY taking into consideration that I will publish it on Facebook to help all people who have the same problem.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry but this post should not be in the development section. Try downloading an ICS FTF file from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2076625 and then using Flashtool.
Is there any problem to downgrade the software from JB to ICS 6.1.A.2.55 using flash tool ?? do we need any other procedures ???

Of course there is no problem in downgrading firmware. Here are the steps:
1. Download and install flashtool and download the ICS FTF file
2. Move the ICS FTF file to C:\Flashtool\Firmwares
3. Open flashtool and go to flashmode by pressing the lightning bolt icon
4. Find the downloaded .ftf file and select it
5. Click ok if you want to wipe data and cache and untick wipe data and cache if you don't want to. Tick "No final verification" and click "Flash". Let it prepare the FTF file, it takes a couple of minutes
6. Whilst the phone is turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN key. Keep it pressed and connect the USB cable to your PC. Only release the Volume Down key when phone's GREEN LED lights up
7. Wait for flashtool to finish flashing. Flashtool will start flashing automatically, it takes some minutes to reach 100%
8. Disconnect USB cable if it is finished and then turn on your device
If there is an error then go to C:\Flashtool\Drivers and run "Flashtool-drivers.exe" to install the proper drivers. After installing the USB drivers reboot your PC. Also make sure to run "FlashTool64" if you have Windows 64 bits, if not then just launch "Flashtool". The first boot takes some minutes so don't worry.
Please hit thanks if I helped you. :good:

[Q] Updating without a computer

The USB port on my Z1 Compact is broken such that it intermittently disconnects. It's bad enough that I've had to switch to the magnetic charger. I want to update to Android 5.0, but am pretty sure the USB connection will fail mid-update and my phone will be bricked. So is there any way to update without having to connect to a pc? My phone is not rooted or unlocked.
