Is the Galaxy Nexus ZeroLemon battery compatible? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

I'm wondering if any Tmo SII users out there have tried to fit the Galaxy Nexus ZeroLemon battery into their phones.
Are the dimensions on this battery too big or awkward? Even if it does fit... is there a case that would even fit it?

i believe it only for Verizon SCH-i515 / Sprint SPH-L700 ONLY

Obviously that's what the marketing says, but XDA established a long time ago that Tmo SII and VZN Nexus use the same standard battery size.
I was wondering if any venturous individuals attempted to fit the ZeroLemon in a Tmo SII, to see if the odd shape of the ZeroLemon will fit.

How do you know that ? is it said somewhere in charts ?
Well its been said over and over the lte version will be slightly thicker. I think his conclusion that the gsm version will be slightly thinner is valid. And that has been the case mostly for lte and gsm variants of the same phone.

GSM Galaxy Nexus will be sold in Canada, so that might be a cheaper place to order accessories to fit GSM models than from UK and the rest of Europe...

But I want a AGF Ballistic case like they had for the SG2 IMO it's the Best
Soon someone will put up a youtube of the 2 and compare where everything sits
Getting giddy of the thought of an LTE-powered Galaxy Nexus? Well, Google, has just unveiled a full 360-degree view of the Verizon-bound smartphone, and it's packing a bigger caboose. Around 0.6mm thicker than the HSPA+ version available now in the UK, the 4G-stuffed version loses, at least visually, some of its curved charm and the chin's become more prominent too. Fortunately, as the tech specs confirm, the slightly bigger body does cram in an extra 100mAh of battery juice, presumably to feed that LTE radio. Will it feel any different in the hand? It looks like we'll have to wait until Verizon decides to furnish us with one -- whenever that is.

Best deal on a extended battery for the Nexus?

I am on Verizon and switching to a Nexus... the phose comes with no battery or battery door... so I need to provide my own... question is.. should I get the regular battery or the extended battery?
any battery better than the other?
Apparently the extended battery is available from Verizon wireless for $24.99. (Great price)
This has been the case for a few months now but I'm unsure whether the deal is still on as I'm British and can't check on the website.
Yep get the 2100 mah battery at the Verizon store.

Love how no one mentioned that the extended battery from VERIZON only works for the CDMA model and not the GSM model.
The cheapest GSM 2000 mah extended battery is on ebay from shimshop ~$30ish.
CDMA/LTE = Verizon
Not Verizon? it's GSM.
I got the trexcell 3800 extended battery from Amazon for 20 bucks..should be a lot more juice than the Verizon 2100 extended battery AND it's cheaper!

OP could of been on Verizon and switching to a GSM Nexus for AT&T/T-Mobile/Wind/etc... never specified.
No back cover usually means a stolen phone.
Check and make sure its not blacklisted before buying.
Even then, buy with caution.
this is a warranty 'replacement' for my Droid Charge. I've had lots of probs with my droid charge so they are replacing it with a nexus under my warranty... cost me $150 however..

The store clerk messed up then. When a warranty replacement is ordered, they have two options. Order a replacement for the same phone or order a replacement for a different phone. The second option comes with the battery and door. When I had my fascinate replaced by an incredible 2 I got everything.

Not Necessarily. I had a warranty replacement for my Droid RAZR to a Nexus, and I had to get the battery door, and battery, though Verizon gave me a $20 credit, so it only cost me $26.

DealExtreme have a $12 battery claiming to be 3800mAh. There from China so the batteries often lie about their capacity but there cheap and it has at least 1 comment saying it doubles capacity. Free shipping to just about anywhere worldwide too.

Bought 2 Galaxy Nexus 3800mAh batteries. Can't use either.

I bought two non-NFC batteries for my CDMA (Verizon) model Galaxy Nexus and received them today.
Sadly, they're both for the i9250 (GSM) version and won't even begin to fit.
I'd love to trade with someone who made a similar (but opposite) mistake as me.

Extended battery w/NFC for play store gnex

Hi all,
I know this subject has other threads but I was not able to find a direct answer for the gsm play store version of the gnex.
I'm looking for something quality that will not make the phone too unwieldy.
Thanks!

Really? I didn't think so. I was under the impression that the GSM and CDMA batteries we're NOT interchangeable. I found the official GSM extended battery from Samsung for sale on Nigrielectronics from other posts but it's sold out.
It's not available on Amazon and I can't find anything but shady looking vendors when I google.
Anyone have any ideas? I (think) know it needs to be the i9250 variety to work on the GSM (play store) version.
The Mugen battery is also listed as sold out.
I got mine on ebay. Took a couple weeks to arrive, tho.

Don't buy from expansys-usa, I tried to purcahse a battery from them (the extended OEM one) and they didn't restock for 2 weeks. I called them to ask when my battery was due and they said "we haven't delievered it", asked for a refund and they gave it me (although a bit rude). Go with shimshop on eBay, I personally brought one from the same shop and it was awesome. They give you a tracking number for international (you can track it here when it's overseas). Then you plug in the number into USPS and it tells you where it is stateside. Took about 2 weeks to arrive and the package was clean, sealed and no dents/scratches (the guy who sells them is very friendly and responds to questions very fast).

+1 for shimshop - very happy with mine
GSM batteries and CDMA batteries are NOT the same.
They DO use the same battery as other models though. One is the T-Mobile SGSII I think.
CDMA Verizon has its own extended battery.

I believe the TMo SII and Skyrocket batteries fit the CDMA GNex, not the GSM. I know for a fact that the Skyrocket fits the CDMA GNex, not sure about the TMo SII though.
I bought from shimshop before as well. Great buying experience.

Now only if Samsung manufactured this with a white battery cover.... boy would that be fantastic. This phone in white just looks wayyyyy too good.
+1 for simshop on eBay. Took two weeks to receive the order, but I have been using it for several months now, even the NFC chip in the battery works perfectly.

Yeah, tell me about it. I've been using the 2000mAh battery for a long time now and just decided to upgrade to white (to fix some small scratches) and now I am going to lose 250mAh :crying: Sucks to have Mugen 4000mAh and Sammy 2000mAH batteries laying around not getting any love.

Wallet case for t989- modded from s2 LTE wallet case

I know there have been a bunch of people out there looking for wallet cases for the T-Mobile version of the s2. I was one of those people too, but after searching I have found a great wallet case for a good price. The only problem is that it is made for the Galaxy s2 LTE E110(which is slightly different from ours). However, with an exacto knife I was able to make it work out.
There are also a lot of good cases for the skyrocket that can be easily modified to get our phones. Both the skyrocket and the LTE are nearly the same size as ours.
The only modifications I had to make was the positioning for the USB connector and the earphones. The phone fit great into the rubber case otherwise.
How did I find this you ask? Search on eBay for "s2 lte wallet" or "skyrocket wallet" recently I have even seen some actual wallet cases for the t989. Most of them ship from Korea.
This specific one is from a Korean company called solozen. The name of the case is "Hit diary protection" galaxy s2 lte version.
Let me know if you have troubles finding the cases. There are a lot of different brands and styles on eBay and other auction sites.
I hope this helps at least a few people!
Note-I HAVE tried this and it does fit. No problems at all. Please try not to post saying that this wouldn't work because the phones are different. I am well aware with a little modding it can work though.
Another idea was to buy a cheap plastic case for the t989, detach the one that fits the LTE from the wallet part, then glue the t989 cover to it. I didn't end up doing that, but it might be something to try!

wow thanks for posting this, I looked everywhere for a wallet case for S2 t-mobile version... You said that now they make wallet cases for S2 T-mobile? Where did you find this? I looked on ebay and couldn't find any from Korea.
I'm curious about this case too but am also having troubles finding it on eBay. I searched for "s2 lte wallet" first but didn't see any that were a "hit diary protection". Next I searched for "solozen" and there were five with results with "hit diary protection" in the description but they were only for Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, iPhone 5 and Optimus G. I searched for "skyrocket wallet" and there was a result for Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727, but it wasn't sold through "solozen" but rather "totomagirl" (item location was still in South Korea though).
The item sells for $19USD and the photos look similar to what carrman17 posted so it's probably a match.

That's the same kind as mine except it's the skyrocket version. I'm almost positive it could work with a little modification.
Also, the seller for mine was totomagirl. Most sellers don't put the brand in the description for some reason.
Nice find. I was always under the impression that the skyrocket was a hell of a lot bigger device so cases would never work.
