I can't seem to find a jelly bean sense rom for cdma. Is there one I'm missing? I love both the JB notifications among other features, but it seems instagram only works properly on sense, as well as the sense camera is tops.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

As of right now, I am not aware of any Jellybean Sense roms.
There is also no JB sense for GSM atm..... but we might got a port ver from Desire X in the future.
yes, the main improvement actually is the updated camera driver and apk.
No we won't. We need bootloader upgrade for it which HTC won't give us and we can't make ourselves Without S-off

No. We don't need bootloader upgrade because there is a work around on Desire X board for those who is still on ICS hboot to flash JB sense.
Actually, hboot isn't the real problem, the concept is entirely wrong. It's the partition size on One V and Desire X, they're too small by default and can't flash the JB boot.img into it because of larger size, that's it. On my One S, I was successfully flashed JB sense and JB boot.img with just ICS hboot(the hboot ver is the same with my existing One V hboot) hundred of times with only S-ON(no S-OFF yet at that time).

I also think that the real trouble is kernel, we'll need a 3rd kernel this time. The source code of 4.1.1 JB kernel on One XL/One S is just released, I think we can borrow some parts like camera driver from it and develop our own kernel.
I don't know anything about Rom making, but I am pretty excited to see my ignorant question has some discussion going towards a JB Sense rom. I love this community.
On a side note, anyone have any idea why instagram won't work on any of the JB roms I've tried? And what's a good camera app that's reliable? Camera MX has been my best so far, but even that crashed on me today.

There is only two apps wonderful in the world. Camera JB+ should got the best focus speed & accuracy plus quality for photo/video shooting. Camera HDR+ is still the best for HDR photo taking(but I think older ver got better focus).
I've tried all stuffs like Vignette, Camera 360, LG Camera Pro, Camera FV-5, Snap Camera HDR, Camera Zoom fx. None of them could beat Camera JB+ and Camera HDR+ in terms of focus and quality. But they are leak of in-depth settings like the other apps.

me too. shpongle is only strugling with aosp 4.2 camera and cameras associated with it like JB+ (and maybe this is the reason for not working ProCapture). So ICS+ is my choice for shpongle

Thanks for pointing this out. @ckpv5, from what i understand from you post is the hboot partition is too small to write a jellybean boot.img, hence you're using the recovery partition to flash a kernel to. Genius. I didn't even know that, can you do this for one v too?

Just use both for a while and choose the one you liked best.
Personally, I stay with the stock camera, but camera 360 has more options.
Sense cam is much better then camera360
Sense cam is better (for me)
Have u all used new version of camera 360 because it has lot of option and quality improvent from previous version.....i am using v 2.2.............and i used widescreen in both the app......in stock camera the picture clicked is of 1.45mb where as picture clicked through camera 360 is of 4.25 mb.......does it make any differnce......

Check the resolution's of both of those pictures then you can get to know which is better...generally pic's with high resolution are of higher mb.
Higher resolution=crispper picture .
HDR is the only advantage i feel that is there on camera 360 but that is available in the new sense 3.0 cam app , also you get panaroma mode aswell

Higher MB don't neccessarily mean higher resolution. It could mean lower compression for the jpegs that could be mistaken for higher quality (actually postprocessing of the picture from the sensor plays part in the quality before any compression).
I might be wrong but HDR on Camera360 is not HDR at all. To make proper HDR pictures you have to take several photos at different exposures and combine them to increase the dynamic range. What you get with Camera360 is a HDR-like effect that has nothing to do with actual HDR picture. In the camera API there is a control for the exposure setting and it can be used to automaticaly take three or more pictures at different settings then combine them with a HDR algorithm but so far I haven't found any software that does this (not that I've searched that hard anyway)
On topic: I've tried Camera360 but found it useless and I'm using the stock camera app when I don't have my DSLR with me.

Well if u are rooted.. install any of the great roms posted here on XDA ..some of them have sense 2.0 cam by default...or u can try pushing 3.0 sense camera(search for the apk) through adb to system...if you dont know how to do it.. then read a bit..u will know..
Hey, is there any way to get the stock htc camera app on cyanogen port????
Because, i cant get touch focus on the cyanogen camera....
I’ve tried installing the apk but it returns 'application not installed'...
Not possible, sense camera = sense rom.
Download camera360 from market for free. It has touch to focus and many other options!!
I don't like camera on cm also. Think picture quality was better with stock camera.

Hey guys,
So as you probably know, Sense has one of the best camera apps known to mankind, but I'm running CM10 at the moment, so no sense camera due an AOSP framework. So people, let me know, are there any good camera replacements for the AOSP camera app? Preferably ones that allow you to view in full screen (like sense), and yeah, it must be free, and must not take long to launch, like apps like "camera."
Filters and effects are preferred, but not necessary, really appreciate it, thanks

Camera 360 is good when you're on an AOSP ROM.
I shifted back to MIUI yesterday and immediately went to install the mod for the Sense Camera. Higher bitrate for video recording and picture taking.

If you liked the stock camera, could be good?
I was just wondering if there is any work in progress to port the stock camera to Jelly Bean? I guess few people miss the sense per se but the camera app was really great!
no actually sense camera is only compatible with its kernel driver so , thats not possible!!

Works very well on the One X.
The shots taken are significantly less noisy than ones taken with CameraZoomFX and MUCH better than those taken with the ****TY aosp camera.

this app is made for intel SoC based phones therefore there are then some issues like heating because of wrong use of cpu or other things like some laggy things or this camera resolution issue...this app has some nice features but those are also in other camera apps which aren't overheating or lagging
