Need torchlight - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Need torchlight same N7000 , anyone can help?

Flashlight Ultra in samsung apps.

Plenty of apps in the play store.
I use power toggles, gives you a button for a flashlight along with numerous other toggles.
Or check your widget section, there will be a widget called Assistive Light.

Assistive light has only 1 brightness level... and it's not strong enough

Agreed, power toggles is a bit brighter.
Samsung should have done something akin to HTC's 3 tap brightness thing.

Torch app?

Anyone found a torch (or flashlight, light, whatever) app that works? None of the ones I've tried work :'( Widget would be cool too.
"Tiny Flashlight + LED" works a charm for me.

I might try develop one that fits with the ICS them as my first application

torch app for nexus
I like TeslaLED. I like the widget w/o name. Works great.
there was a similar thread going around a few months ago where someone suggested Search Light, i've been using it since. it's very simple, has no ads, and also doesn't have all the extra permissions that a lot of these torch/flashlight apps seem to require. all it needs is access to the camera.
Market Link
Old thread with some other feedback on some of the apps mentioned above
Search Light is absolutely cleanest and sleekest.

"Galaxy Nexus Flashlight" from the Market. It's free and works exactly like the Cyanogen torch.

Adjust brightness with invisibright app

For anyone missing the ability to adjust brightness by sliding across the notification bar - check out invisibright.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1180993
I've tested it on my SGS3. It's working well and allows much better control than auto brightness.

Was the notification bar brightness feature removed from the new Touch Wiz?

Yes, it was indeed

And added to that autobrightness is pretty poorly implemented so your app has been a godsend.

Lux free version works really well also. After taking the time to lock screen brightness to ambient brightness, auto brightness scales exactly the way I want now.

For anyone using the paid version of invisibright (which gives homescreen shortcuts) and Go Launcher, the latest update of GL allows for a double tap on screen (in the gestures settings). So if you're like me and already have the other gestures allocated to other stuff, you can now set up the double tap to shortcut and pick invisibright touch mode (or tilt mode) . Works like a charm

Jut tried it. Even better than status bar control.

Now If you can rezise it to be 1x1 square, and remove the text and just a lamp icon, It would be better than the one that comes with the s3...
Because I hate having it take 2 squares on my screen
Good job man its realy help

I am in search of 1x1 widget substitute for Samsung original 2x1 widget Assistive Light so I have found your thread. I am sorry to say it, but your app is really something different. I miss two things:
Original widget react immediately, your has a delay.
Original widget use only approx 50% light intensity which is sufficient and polite to battery and LED. Your widget use 100% light intensity as any other ordinary light widget from Play Store.

Power Control Widget for Rooted Nexus 4??

I just rooted my Nexus 4 and I am looking for a power control widget to place at the top of my pull down notification menu so that I can access various toggles quickly and easily. I have found a few apps on the Play Store such as "Power Toggles" and "Notification Toggles". The problem with these apps (and I know I'm being very picky) is their notification icon always shows on the notification panel. You can make it transparent but then there is just an empty space there.
Does anyone know of a similar app that would work on a rooted device and give me the toggles without the notification icon always being present? Any support would be greatly appreciated, as I am new to the world or rooting. Thanks!
Flash a ROM with the feature. And this really goes in Q&A not Themes & Apps

With power controls theres a setting near the one that makes it transparant. Its called something like pin or something like that.
Its just above or below te transparant setting.
Good luck and cheers

I do see the option to mane the notification position "Not pinned & no icon" but the problem with that is it moved the power widget down from the top. I want to keep it most important and keep it at the top of my notification list. I was hoping there may be a way to achieve this with a rooted phone without having to download a custom ROM.
It's so much easier with a custom rom. Also you can get a lot of other neat stuff.

You can use the xposed framework with gravity box module. With this you can add other tiles to quick settings. Sorry for my bad english.

Modifying setting.apk is possible. I believe that is what the author wants. It would be perfect for a change 50% transparency.

Wheres Flash Light in 'Widget on Tap Action'?

I got a samsung galaxy s3 that has a widget called Assistive Light that turns on the flash light. I want to use it in zooper. But I cant find it in the list of 'Widget on tap Action'. Where exactly is it?
If its possible to use it, what code do I use in zooper to show that its turned on upon tapping it?
You have to use Tasker for that.

If you're using Nova launcher (probably similar process in other launchers) you could look under tap actions / shortcuts / (nova) activities.
Perhaps you'll find your shortcut there.

Just noticed there's no such shortcut for that flashlight app (installed it to have a look).
You could use TeslaLED Flashlight for this.
