Quick list of running apps? With "Force Stop" option?

Is there any apps which will list all the apps which are currently running on my Desire, and give me the option to Force Stop them, without having to go through the Manage applications option?
I was showing my Desire to a new iPhone 4 owner and was showing him some of the different Launchers I can install on my phone, and because I use Home Switcher to go between them, I think the other Launchers I have installed (HTC Sense & ADW Launcher, I use LauncherPro) are still running in the background.
And the only way I can see to stop them is to go through the Manage Apps program.
I don't want an Automatic Killer, but I would like a list and an option to kill them?
Any ideas?

Yes, but that is only the last 6 apps, and it doesn't give a force stop option.
I guarantee that there is aLOT more apps running on your phone than that 6.

Hey, there is a blue "share" bar on the main screen when you long press a shortcut in the stock arc S ICS rom, is there any way to remove that? Thanks a lot

That bar is the Facebook Share isn't it? maybe try remove it?
You could just try another launcher?

Logout of Facebook inside xperia; it shouldn't pop up after that

I have removed all the bloatware, but the bar still shows up! is it part of the launcher or something?

i'm talking about that blue bar on the top, it shows up when i long press on something on the main screen. I have removed all the bloatware, including the facebook apps. What sorcery is this? xD

Just try another launcher then?
I personally like "trebuchet"

It's an APK called 'facebook proxy' use titanium backup to freeze or uninstall it.

[MOD/APP][AOKP] COPY/PASTE buttons in NAVIGATION BAR!!! NOW MORE BUTTONS!!!

Hello, I created this 2 apps to add copy and paste buttons to the nabvar...
What this app does is to simulate a keypress from a service when button is pressed....
Concretely sends KeyEvent.ACTION_DOWN for CTRL_LEFT(holds that key pressed), then injects C or V KeyCode event and finally it sends KeyEvent.ACTION_UP for CTRL key(releases that key).
However, not all apps are compatible with CTRL key, so this wont work properly with these apps
This app has been tried on Xylon ROM but also it SHOULD work on AOKP and derivates.

No, it doesn't work for non rooted. It installs and goes to widgets and put it on the screen and it says not installed when clicked. Plus, non rooted wouldn't be able to add those to the launcher. MAYBE 3rd party but I don't wanna do all that..

I am rooted, but i have the same error... I dont know why, but it only works with in the navbar... however it doesnt make sense to put them in the launcher...
I guess that appears that errors because I dont created an acctivity that extend AppwlWidgetProvider

That's what I meant, the navbar. Not launcher.. But I don't know how to make it work.

You can see in screenshots, go to settings > UI settings > navbar settings (Depends on your rom) and add new icon> custom application... it should appear there

I would like to hide navbar and use aokp pie instead but I need few buttons.

Well its done... It can emulate back home menu search play/pause skip track power button and camera button

This is looking really cool. I love aokp nav bar mods and this seems quite similar.
Is there a function in there for "last app"? That's probably my favorite thing to have on the nav bar.

I suggest you to tequest that ro the rom developers.. The could integrate this app better in their rom... Also they could add more button like "last app"

I have that already with my Rom. I just thought it would be good to have this for those roms that do not in case I want to switch.

It said in op... You must sign apk with system signature and install as system app... There are some tutorials out there

For example, for xylon rom you have to use these platform.pk8 and platform.x509.pk8... You get them here

To sign you can use a program called "apk signer" (i think)

I checked this tablet out @ best buy the other day. Looked really nice, but the one flaw I found in the LG skin.. was there was no open app " soft key " similar to Stock Android... where you can touch and jump from app to app without having to click home screen and find the open app.
I know there is a google play edition out there that would have the Pure Android that I like. But some really nice Sales popping up on the LG skinned version, and the remote app looks pretty sweet. Was wondering if there's a way to navigate to recent / open apps that I'm missing.
.. Don't really want too ROOT / ROM the device. I've found I prefer things to work out of the box...

I believe you can customize the layout of the navbar on LG's skin. Also pick black/white bar. Besides that I think it's a "long-press" action as default. Home or Menu when long pressed will pop out the recents list. - I only booted the Tablet to install CM, so I'm not 100% sure on how it works. But I know you can customize then navbar.

I had the same issue, I wanted a short tap key to show recent apps, because I consider that to be the best way to switch between apps.
It's possible to do this by using the Xposed installer together with the G2 module.
(you can achieve what you want with the free version)
This lets you customize the navigation bar to great extent.
I have a 4 key navigation bar now with a short press key for recent apps and an extra menu key next to that.
However, you need root for that to work.

Quick app task bar + cascade view multiwindow

Recently my girlfriend got me new note 8.0 as she said my old tab was sluggish. As a first time Note user shifting from tab 7.7, I found that there are few things that I couldn't find in my note 8.0 like:
1. No quick app task bar - I quite used to open calculator from the task bar and it would come out as a floating pop up window, I could easily drag the window anywhere and closed it once I was done with it.
2. Cascade view multiwindow - As I was using note 8.0 erobot ROM with multiwindow MOD
Is there any shortcut or anything that I can change somewhere? I have tried to look around but still can't find it.

i'm actually the user that ported the multiwindow mod to the 7.7 originally...if u want the same exact experience u had on the P6800 the u can use my mod in the link below BUT unfortunately it only works on 4.1.2 so u would need to downgrade if you're on 4.2.2. If its ONLY cascade mode that u want then its possible to mod the flashbar (left side quick app task bar/multiwindow launcher) to have the dual/cascade mode buttons u are used to seeing in the minimode panel/nav bar...since the left launcher is the default multiwindow mode for the note 8 then i assume that what u want is the bottom quick apps task bar/minimode tray launcher that u have been using on the 7.7 which means u should follow the link below

For the floating calculator? I use pie launcher and aircalc. I swipe from the left to bring out the pie and slide to air calc. Pretty fast too for like 20 of my favorite apps (including floating stickies and evernote and the floating voice recorder). I also use overlay launcher set as a launch point just at the level of the volume rocker so it's different from the lauch area of pie launcher, Use it for specialty apps like tasker and shortcuts to "activities".Then for swiping from the right I use swapps for an alphabetized quick launch bar. Most 1 gig ram tabs and phones find this hard to handle but the note 8 breezes through.
Multiwindow cascade? I'm planning to do that too but still enjoying stock for now...want to wait it out for that new magazine UX that's replaced touchwiz UX on samsung tablets. I hope it makes it to the note 8 during the next update...

Yes, I am actually using your multiwindow mod and like it very much on my tab 7.7. About the tray launcher, Is it possible to make it hidden for note 8.0? Is it compatible with N5120? I feel that the good thing about note 8.0 screen, it isn't block by the task bar like at tab 7.7. I'm still learning to use Note 8.0, but sometimes I miss some part of tab 7.7 that I am already getting used to it. Thanks! :good:

I just downloaded aircalc and tried to use it for my note, but I feel the ads was so annoying, I previously used realcalc and like it so much, thanks for your suggestion :good:
