At first check if motion gestures are checked in your settings. They should work on Omega ROM.
Some apps disable airview, light flow for example.

hey,
im using vertigos pac rom (take a look at my sig) and there the built in flashlight works flawlessly even when the screen is off... maybe its ab bit of an overkill to flash a new rom just for the flashlight but i can really recommend you that rom it just kicks ass in every aspect (sorry for the ads )
peace

Hi all,
I've put good several hours today trying to get BLN(back light notification) function working on my T989 to no avail. I understand the kernel in CM 10.1.2 doesn't support BLN, so today I flashed a new one that does. After that I installed BLN control. It does report that BLN status is enabled, but neither the test nor the real world uses lit up those 4 damned touch key LEDs.
In addition, I've also tried ButtonLED(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1958939). It didn't work either because the "brightness" file needed couldn't be found or maybe just doesnt exist. the 5 files its auto search located didn't work of course.
I'd appreciate if some of you more skilled/experienced magnificent people could help me out. There are so many T989 users out there, I'm sure there're people who got bothered by the lack of notifications and figured out a work around. It doesnt have to be with these two apps, but I don't want to use apps that use the main LCD for notifications for battery life's reason.
Thanks ahead!
ROM: CM 10.1.2 stable release
Android version: 4.2.2
Kernel: 3.0.95-Uber-2.6 [email protected] #1 Sun Sep 8 18:35:50 EDT 2013 (UBER-OFFICIAL-Cl3Kener-Version-2.6-Hercules.zip) From here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230064

Can you pls elaborate how you get it working with trickster mod? there's a "LED Control" button but requires paid version. Is this it? there's also "Backlight Notification" toggle which I have set to on but is not doing anything.

The backlight notification toggle is the one I used. I am on Slim Bean 4.3 using Uber 2GHz with BLN though.
Not sure why it works for me and not you.
I wiped cache partition and dalvik cache, still no change....
I read somewhere on internet the ROM must also support BLN function. Could this be the cause?
Download trickster mod..swipe over to the last tab and you'll see an option for backlight notification...enable it and that's it

I've done all that, unfortunately it just didn't work. Are you on CM 10.1 with a kernel that supports bln? Or is there anyone with this setup who have gotten it to work?
I have a problem with a camera rotation. Basically, when I open the camera to take a picture, the icon is either at the top or the bottom of the camera, then when I take a picture, it is always upside down. So, to get a picture that is not rotated 180 degrees, I have to turn my phone updside down.
Any idea how to fix this? I have flashed multiple roms and nothing seems to fix this. I do a wipe, infamous wipes, etc...
Can i totally rebuild the camera apk?
I have tried the "rotation fixer" on the t989 forum but no luck.
see screnshot. I took this picture in portrait mode.
have you tried to calibrate your proximity sensor?

I am running jedi mind trick 8 and I don't have an option under display to calibrate anything. can you tell me how to do this? I can't find anything on the web as to how to do it.
Have you checked in the Jedi tricks settings or accessibility... can you do me a favor and download proximity test any one will work and this will rule out if it's the sensor don't worry we will figure it out

nothing in jedi tricks settings or accessibility... i downloaded proximity sensor finder. It says proximity sensor available. Last distance reported 5.0 cm. If i put my hand over the sensor, it does detect that i am covering it up.

I may have tried a cm10 at some point, but I am 90% sure i have only used jmt and it started messing up with jmt... it worked one day, then one day it started screwing up

every time I flash a rom, i do a full wipe from twrp. I also run infamous cache and super cache wipe.
Well if nothing is fixing your issue the only thing I can recommend now is to either go back to Odin and start from scratch.then flash 8 again if you dont feel the need for all that just try and deal with it brother you could also try flashing with cwm maybe that will help sorry I couldn't help you further man good luck to you please post if you find a solution you can help others later

Never had that issue- are you using any kind of wakelock sensor or widgets on your lock screen that may be interfering with the setting?

Anyone know of a custom ROM that includes the new "Cast Screen" option to mirror your android screen through Chromecast? Thanks in advance.
Answered my own question. Dirty Unicorns, posted on this forum, has a working Cast Screen option through Settings/Display.

thought id give another option.... im using it at this moment on latest cleanrom with stock kernel. works great!!!
edit: not sure if it matters but cc I have is rooted.
Carbon ROM also gives me the option and it works. I believe this functionality was baked into AOSP so basically all stock Roms have it

I am on Paranoid 6.0.2 but on One plus 2 but cast screen is not working ..the device connects and then disconnects instantly . While Moto G4 's cast screen is working fine.
Hi guys
You doesn't need any of the patches or 3rd party apps.
You just need to follow these steps in order to use cast screen in custom roms:
1. Just enable wifi 'on'
2.Open cast & it shows all available devices:fingers-crossed:
