Is there any way to speed up the led notification light on it or an app that will do that for me? The period between blinks takes too long! Thanks guys.
Try lightflow or light manager

Light flow is great but it's not very stable. If your phone is rooted a lot of rooms have the Led feature built right into the rom to change colours for certain notifications and the speed at which they blink. Just use light flow if your not rooted

So just got my g2 today and rooted and running cm7 rc4.
I was just wondering if I can change the notification light color around the track pad or at least the change the blinking rate?
Thanks in advance and have a nice day

I don't think you can change the color..at least from what I've seen trying to use utilities that are supposed to..I could be wrong.
As far as the blink rate that I do not know

I'm not sure about the rate, but I'm sure only white is available for color

Nope. Only one color there.

The trackpad light only does white, but you can change the blink rate using the LED me know app. Also the notification LED in the earpiece can be used for notifications using LED me know. That one does either green or red-orange.

Isn't there supposed to be a led or the pulse light on when the phone is on charge?

I don't why but that app won't work on my phone. I am using AOSP (I compiled from scratch) with google apps and root, nothing else. Does anyone else have any issues? I find these LED apps are hit and miss.

Last thing I want is a bright LED blinking when I'm trying to sleep. The LED is for notifications. If it blinks when charging, how would you know when you got a message?

By the color of the LED light of course.
It has an option to dim for sleeping.
I use it sometimes.

Light flow is the best for LED control IMO. It has a sleep mode that allows you to turn off LED notifications between whatever times you want and you can set notifications for most everything you need.

With Light Flow you can set the LED to stay on without blinking. And it will slowly cycle through other colors for any notifications you have besides the charging/charged notification. Also, you can tell a notification turn off after a certain amount of time
For instance, I have my charging indicator set to be a light green -- then when fully charged it switches to a dark green for 30 minutes, then shut off. So if I'm charging it overnight, I won't see the charging notification in the morning -- but I will see any other notifications since I tell everything else to stay on indefinitely.
You can also set the notifications for charging to be low priority. When a higher priority notification comes in, such as SMS or missed calls, the LED will stop blinking the colour of the charging indicator and only blink the higher priority notification instead.

Has anyone found a way to disable the charged/charging led? I use my phone as an alarm clock and the blue charged led is extremely bright in a dark room.
I'm running Blazer 4.1
I would try the app "Light Flow". I believe there is an option in there to disable the charging LED. I haven't actually been able to get it to work.. But I may be doing something wrong. I want to disable it simply because when it is on, the LED doesn't show the texts/missed calls.
It's worth a shot.
Alright, I've installed light flow and I'll test it when I get home tonight. Thanks for the reply.

I just turn mine over... Not trying to be annoying - just one of those "Americans spent years coming up with a pen that would write in space; Russians deployed a graphite pencil" things.

confirmed, light flow worked perfectly

ICS lightflow and e4gt
Has one been able to disable the charging/charged led light using lightflow on ICS?
Im guessing your device has to be rooted. Smh
Epic touch "704 north Carolina"
It is rooted and running Calkulin's E4GT 2 v1.6
I used a LED test app to see what colors would work and the colors were all off. I press the blue button and my red LED turns on. Green turns on like a weird blue Magenta.
I'm curious if anyone else has this problem or if there's a better app out there for testing (I've tried light flow, blink, and LED test)

Yeah, it's a known issue that all the color signal are screwed up. I believe this is an OS problem and using a non-touchwiz ROM like CM9 or CM10 would fix the issue.
Mine good.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
i can confirm after having the issue with the stock rom, once i flashed to cm10 the led colors corrected themselves.
The developer for light flow had already escalated this to Samsung engineering. Touchwhiz screwed up the codes used to change the LED colors. That's why flashing a non Touchwhiz rom fixes it. We just have to wait for Samsung to issue an update or for Light Flow to figure out a workaround.

The lightflow Known Issues page has the best map of the color I have seen. It's about halfway down the page.
Thank you for that... i love how samsung always seems to jumble something lol

I'm using cm10 and almost all the colors didn't work, whatever color I chose it showed up red except for magenta color and purple the rest showed up as red led's

Is there a way to turn down how bright the LED's are for notifications? I just updated from stock to CM 10.2 and the LED notification lights are a lot brighter, and a different color. It's so bright that when I'm charging my phone at night the light really bugs me. I liked the old blue light from teh stock set up much better.
I looked around and also searched but didn't see anything on this.
Thanks,
CF
What about using the Quiet Hours setting to disable the LED altogether during certain hours?

I have it set to turn off the ringer. If it does the LED's too I totally missed it. Will check that out.
"Disable Notification Light" is the bottom option.
