Can I port over the Samsung Camera & Gallery to a CM10.1 ROM? I hear there may be framework issues, etc...

Can't happen. Requires the touchwiz framework.

That's unfortunate, as the HDR Function on Cm10.1 is not good--you basically need a tripod to get it to not be blurry.

I am running aokp with Android 4.2 and noticed there was no photosphere. I like the photosphere but I dont want an app like 360. I tried to flash some zips containing the camera which works but it freezes when it generates the photo. Anyone has an idea?

You have the aosp camera which has more settings and features but lacks photosphere.
To get your photosphere back download gapps from goo manager jb 121212 wipe then reflash
Thanks I am going to try that. But which features do I have more with the aosp camera?

Open your camera long press on the screen then go to settings. You'll have your answer
Does anyone know if the factory Samsung camera app will work on Paranoid Android?
I want to move to 4.2.2 but don't want to lose my slow motion camera
Thanks

yeah thats main resason for me to not stay on aosp roms
I am currently running RootBox as my daily driver. Stock Android is truly amazing, only thing I missed from Touchwiz was the native gif support for the gallery. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the gallery app? Or a really good alternative to the native gallery app with gif support?
Thanks a bunch!

Well bad news is, Since Rootbox is AOSP/CM based, the Gallery App from Touchwiz will never run properly on it. I am looking for other Gallery Apps that do have native gif support.
I cant seem to find anything. That would be something awesome for a developer to create.

hello there
i will ask you if anyone can port the stock browser for CM. i really like the back-button on screen feature.
and the second Thing is i want the stock camera app, because the stock camera has a lot of features that i miss in CM camera.
it would be great
The camera features i doubt can be ported. They only work on stock for a reason. Stock Roms contain certain files that allow for the camera features to work which are not included in CM. Not sure about the browser

I also wish we had the original LG camera but in the meanwhile you can try with ProCapture if you don't like the Focal or the stock Android Camera.

Well screw me. Thanks for proving me wrong man. Not a lot of people can port over stock features for certain devices. Good job! You think it will be able to be used on MIUI Roms?
