Hey,
To make a long story short; is there anyway to override and disable the headset controls? I've tried an app called Disable Autoplay (can't link because I just registered here) but it doesn't work.
Thanks in advance.

Use WizDroid from the Play Store, when you open the app turn wizdroid on by pressing the 'WizDroid is off' button and it will change to on.

That didn't work either
I guess 4.2 stopped WizDroid from working.

I'm hoping someone can figure this out, because I have the opposite problem and think this might give me an answer. My button controls for my headset stopped working, I want them to work again. I recently rooted my phone, and I think I might have disabled something that I didn't think would have any effect on my device.

When i'm in the car i want to get my spvM650 automaticly on speaker when i answer calls... is that possible?
...sort of...
I have a prog installed called Teksoft Speakerphone. This allows a button to be allocated to turn the speaker on.
You can even activate it without a call in progress so that it will answer on speaker. I use it all the time in the car.
It also comes with a today screen button type plugin - but as far as I can tell its completely and utterley useless....but the prog itself rules!!!
I have attached the cab - let me know how you get on....I know it works on my Orbit....

thats the only flaw I can find......it turns itself off once you have ended your phone call.
During a call you have to turn it off using the button in call status.
Its good for turning the speaker on - just not for turning it off again....you soon get used to it!!
This was a favorite patched feature on webOS, how can I replicate it on my new Nexus? I tried an apk I found on Google Code but it didn't work.
I just want to pull the phone from my face and have the audio change to speaker phone.

Tasker might do that, not tested though.
Can someone with tasker test this?

Great idea! Just tested it and it works. Took a little to figure out how to do it with Tasker but it works.
I have attached the profiles I created for this to work.

First you have to unzip the zip file from pascanu
Connect your Nexus to your computer and transfer the files over.
I couldn't see the "Tasker" folder, I'm on a Mac, so I got around this by first copying the files over to a temp folder, then use Astro to move the files to the proper folder, which is Tasker>profiles
Open Tasker, press and hold the profile tab (where the words "profile" are) The option to import will appear.
Import all 4 profiles, and you're good to go.
The only issue I have with pascanu's profile is, the phone screen doesn't seem to shut off, so my cheeks might press something by accident...
thanks that worked but i just unzipped the file directly from root explorer. and yes, the only thing keeping this from being completely useful is the proximity censor not turning the screen off when held to your face

I figured out how to turn the display off
Click on "Speaker OFF" then click the box with the green arrow and "Speakerphone OFF", a window will pop up, click the +, then Display>System Lock
Problem is, if you try and add a "display on" to the "Speaker ON" portion, Tasker tells me the action is not available, which means you'd have to hit the power button and turn the display on before proximity sensor kicks in and turn on the speakerphone.
pascanu, perhaps you have a more elegant solution?
Guys.... super easy alternative. download the app upsounddown from market. Its free - and you can set it for auto speakerphone when the phone is turned upside down, flat, shaken, or proximity. Its awesome and I use it all the time with no issues - just make sure you turn "on" the app from within itself after you install (no need after a reboot)

The screen doesn't seem to turn off when it is on proximity mode. Perhaps this issue can only be resolved if it is baked into a rom.
Very cool app though

I just realized that the screen doesn't turn off (I was just playing with it).
I'm afraid there is no solution to this:
Proximity Sensor
Active when the proximity sensor of the device reports than an object is nearby.
After setting this state up, you should calibrate it by covering and then uncovering proximity sensor a couple of times.
Proximity isn't monitored while the display is off.

I tried using the keyguard action in Tasker but it only works the first time, so it's pretty much the same as display off (and as such the proximity sensor isn't monitored afterwards). I'll try looking into it a little longer maybe today.
I'm pretty sure that if Tasker can't do it neither can a standalone app.
It's not a real problem for me since I only want it to work when my phone is charging (in car, on the dashboard), so I added another condition (phone charging).
SOLVED !
Problem solved.

Your app works perfectly!
A couple of days ago I installed this rom on my Gio, and I'm extremely happy about it!
But since two days, my phone doesn't vibrate or make sound anymore when I get a message/incoming call...
Is there any fix for that?
Thanks for your time!
Have you installed a "battery saving" app??
that happened when i installed one

Nah I didn't install such an app..
Now I already managed to get the sound back, but it still doesn't vibrate...
The vibration 'thing' isn't broken because the haptic feedback works when enabled.
if you mean when you get a text, the solution is very easy xD
go to your messaging, press the menu button (left side beside the middle home button), settings, scroll down to notification settings, press, press vibrate, and you will see that on default, it is set to never, so just chhange it to always and your done
press thanks if it helped ^^

That happened to me too, solved restarting device. I don't know what's the reason, but that issue comes back once upon a month.
Hey All,
Does anyone know a way to turn off haptic feedback for the Sense TV app. I love the app and it has since replaced my TV remote, the only thing is it vibrates pretty intensely with every button press. (Just about goes crazy if you try to go up and down quickly with the volume.) I'd like to be able to just turn it off, but have not found a way to do so. Also, I have haptic feedback turned off via the Sense settings, so I figure its a built in feature of the app that may have to be modified. Let me know what you guys think.
Also, if it matters, I'm running ViperOne and have not found a way to tweak it through there or Xposed either.
Thanks!
Check the xposed module "app settings" and revoke the permission Vibrate.
Hope this helps.

There an app in the play store called home2 shortcut that let's you set it to S Voice or any other app
So nothing built-in like other Samsungs? Odd.
I personally use "Yo Edge" and it is pretty responsive.
