What's the point of driving mode?

What does driving mode do? There is a toggle in the notification bar. ..

Revised mine slightly to fit Google search bar and Soundhound quick song capture. I'm using nova launcher and the Time/Weather/Battery/date widget is a custom designed one. I turned on widget layering to place the Google search on top of the Time/Weather/battery/date widget.

Random reboot error question

So today I was downloading an app when I received an error 492. After the error happened my s3 (running stock) rebooted itself. Is this normal or what would cause this? Thanks

No Facebook notification

I don't get the FB symbol in notification bar. No sound or anything. I checked my settings on my phone and FB app. Any else have this issue?
