Ive tried to find an app that was similar to an app i used to use all the time back when i had the iPhone called 3g unrestrictor. I haven't been able to find anything. Does anyone know of an app or some way to achive this?

rooted evo running baked snack rom...wireless tether speed is between 0.2-0.4 this is ridiculously slow..can anyone help me out ? why is it so slow ? i really need this function and is the sole reason i rooted. anyone else come across this or know how to fix ? ive tried searching but couldnt find a solution. thanks
are you sure thats speed & not amount of data transferred? if you do not believe this to be true, can you post a screenshot of a speedtest.net showing this tremendously slow speed?

Check your PRI Version its need to be 1.40
OK just check my pri isn't 1.40

No, it wouldn't be, and you'd probably get pegged for something. I'd just stick with the wireless tether app. It works just fine for me, make sure you're running the latest version, or try a previous version. I'd stay clear of the hotspot if you're not paying for it. If you run Cyanogen mod though, you can use the deafult Android 2.2 hotspot app for free.
I`ve been trying to get the NHL Game Center app as well as the Montreal Canadiens app to work.
I managed to get them working, however, one crucial snag is stopping me.
I am unable to watch anything. I hear all the audio but I can`t get any picture for the life of me. Could this have ANYTHING to do with the SenseHD rom not having the camera? That`s really the only thing I can think of.
Please, any suggestions and I would be for ever greatful... I really need to be able to get this running on my desire.

I'm really not a noob, but for the life of me, I can't find the sprint hotspot app on my phone. I've never used it before, but signed up for the wifi hotspot feature. Saw in settings wireless how to activate sharing via usb or bluetooth, but for the life of me, I can't find this app to share data over wifi. Am I missing something?

I'm on stock, not rooted. Didn't feel the need to root this phone. That's why I'm stumped not to find it. It's not a hidden app nor has it been disabled in the app manager.

Since u r not rooted ...try 2go deeper by using app like astro file manager...and look ur folders in system...bla, bla, bla..and then look for that app...should be there (try 2 re-install):sly:

I found it by doing a google search. It's there, but I can't find it in my app drawer nor can I add it to one of my home screens. Really weird. It works though when I do find it via google search and then turn it on. Still very weird. Thx

Very weird, but holding off doing a factory reset. It takes me days to get my phone back in order after a reset and I have a business trip starting on Friday.

Just a suggestion but if you root your phone which is not very difficult you can get wifi hotspot for free. I dont understand why we should pay for something that already comes with our phones.
I know I can, but I've rooted previous phones--HTC Hero and the Samsung Epic 4G. I had many issues with the Epic 4G after root that I didn't have before rooting. I like to play with the phones, but I don't like things going wrong. I don't have as much time to tinker with them to get them to work right. I could spend a whole weekend doing nothing but root and reflash different roms. Was fun, but a time suck!
Hey guys, Iost my nexus and I need some apps to find it. I know there are threads and alot of websites regarding this, but i'm just asking for quick answers BEFORE somebody does find it and turn it off.
So its still on because it is ringing and then it goes to voicemail. I have data so i can remotely download apps to it. No one can turn it on because the power button is broken and I use PGM to slide to wake.
Any apps I can remotely download without activating using my phone (obviously because its lost lol) is needed.
I have some really important pictures that are highly sentimental that I haven't yet backed up so I need help ASAP please. :crying:
EDIT: I tried Androidlost but its no registering with the website. I installed the app and then texted my phone "androidlost register" but it didnt register. Then deleted the app and installed the androidlost jumpstarter and did it again and still nothing.
My battery is probably going to die soon, any ideas would be appreciated.

Okay, so Google Play Games has not been loading all my games under the "All My Games" category. All I ever get is a spinning icon. I am stock unrooted dalvic.
Does anyone else have this problem. I know it used to show all of my games, but I cant pinpoint when it stopped. I have rooted before and had different roms and used ART before. But I have done a complete restore to 4.3 stock as per this guide and updated through the over the air update to 4.4.2. Once on 4.4.2 I then wipe the device from recovery. I have no idea why on bone stock I cannot get this app to show all of my games.
Of course Googling this issue is useless as the idiotic naming scheme for the app and it's menus are too generic to wield any results. On top of that the Google mobile help forums appear to have no way to actually post in them.
Has anyone else had this issue or at least have a recommendation on how to find a way to resolve it?
I am having this exact same issue. Nothing I have done so far has fixed it. It just started happening today. Were you ever able to resolve it?
