I've used cwm 5831 and 6000 on One S and I think there is no cwm 6 on One V.
TWRP is so much better than CWM, that's what I can tell you. I'm running TWRP 2.5.0.0 on One V now. The only reason to keep CWM is if you got lots of old backup and don't want to delete them.
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/primou
Here is the link for GSM ver of One V.
If you want to take your backup to twrp just restore it from cwm, then flash twrp and take another backup

Whenever I try to get into my CWM recovery it takes me to the stock android recovery. I've been stuck at EG30 (which is rooted) for a while now. Is there some trick I need to know to get into CWM?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZRnH-_XZmM
Thanks, I had already installed CWM through the root method I used when I first rooted then phone and then afterwards by using CWM Rom Manager. I'll try using this method as well, but I don't have high hopes.

So ROM Manager doesn't work? It's what was recommended by the first instructions I came across. Does it just not work with the Epic 4G Touch? If so, it's strange that it has the device as an option when flashing cwm recovery.

It works its just not recommended by those of us who actually flash a lot. It will get you in more trouble than its worth at times. Stay away from it and just learn how to do things I guess the longer way....
It's not like it takes that much longer anyways.
Is the only the one recovery wich works with the 3,20,,,,,,,,,,,thanks

you can use either twrp or cwm.
thought that with twrp on 3,20 you lost the toch screen,,,that it did not respond,,only with cwr p,fiz
At the moment yes, but twrp will probably come out with a working one, he has the kernel code as i read this on the thread.

I dont get it, why would you like CWM touch recovery.??? It doesnt support flashing KK.
Also I think your touch screen doesn't work properly. Then why would you go for CWM Touch recovery.
If your touch screen is perfect, you can install 4EXT app. This will help you to flash latest 4ext recovery, for flashing KK Roms.
And please try to read more than.post...

But if you need CWM by NeverGone\Ru, then download that recovery.img
Even using your phone, you can edit flashable zips.
Use ZArchiver from playstore.
Then edit those lines which are in the zip you attached by the name of the recovery.img you downloaded.
Replace the old recovery by NeverGone\Ru. And you are all done. Flash it through recovery as you would flash the old 5.x.x version.
Thanks...

Use 4ext RC 1 ..its great !!!! flash the radio img via flashify or 4ext app. Or Google it for cwm 6.0.4.5 pc10img.zip . flash it via fastboot. But 4ext is the best for our phone.
Hi all! I can't seem to find a flashable CWM 6.0.4.7 recovery for our G PRO(E98x/F240x).
If anyone can give me a link or the file itself, I would be very thankful!
Thanks in advance!

well i took that file from freegee folder, maybe you must flash this file first
Download CWM OR TWRP without any hassle
Just download freegee(root) from Google play store and once installed and opened ....let it download the necessary....then just click on cwm or twrp as per ur wish ......u might then feel as if the app has frozen....but it is the process of downloading...... And once finished it will show flash successful ....

I would like to install a CWM touch variant, is there a way to get it done with KK stock rom?
I know it needs to be "lokified", but I have no clue how to do this.
Is there any tutorial to do this?

Philz touch cwm is a good one, you can find here on xda, or via Google search. However, my personal experience with cwm touch variant on e980 is that it causes the recovery bootloop (where you just keeps on going back to the recovery screen). Version 6.0.47 is stable , and will not cause the boot loop say when you try to open the recovery by using the up volume + power buttons. This seem to be the issue too with the cwm provided by cm update in the developer's option. Read the postings in the Philz's thread if you want to know more about the recovery loop and the touch cwm.
I get wrong date and time whene i make a backup. I have a E986. How can i fix this?
Hello to everyone ,

This isn't normally required on the M8, unless its some quirk specific to MIUI (which is a ROM I don't a have much knowledge of).
Make sure your TWRP version is up to date.
Make sure your hboot is up to date.
Wipe user data and cache (default wipe in TWRP) before flashing the ROM.
Those are the most common reasons for no boot after flashing multiple ROMs.
I dont use TWRP. I use Philz Touch recovery.
Where can i download latest TWRP ?

That may be the issue right there. I know some folks are still using it, but Philz hasn't been updated in a long time. And since some newer ROMs have issues with older TWRP builds, I would assume the same would be true with Philz.
You can get TWRP here: https://dl.twrp.me/m8/
