You can on Cyanogenmod, then you have to unlock it to view the photos. Not sure that there's anything like this for stock.

Are you talking about the way you unlock the phone? Or the picture on the lock screen? And yes you can do whatever you want to the rom as long as you are not redistributing the work without permission.

There's a thread on xda where a lot of custom lockscreens are made for milocker, go search for it. I use to play with it
a lot.

You can modify it however you want without permission as long as it's for your own use... But if it's a valid mod then you could probably get permission from the rom creator and post the (mod) in the dev section

This makes it easier to text when *cough driving. Seriously thoughts thats dangerous but this is an easier to use homescreen. I have pretty large hands and I still struggle some.

I've always had the same problem and have yet to find a fix.
I use snapshare from xposed and just take selfies from the regular camera app and share using snapshare

The feature annoys me like hell.. the screen turns on for 3 seconds when a sms is recieved.. any way to disable the screen turning on? I dont want to disable the notifications all together though.. any help would be appreciated

That's a listed known issue before flashing the ROM...go through the thread and look for the tasker script fix. It enables autofocus.
