Hello everybody!
I'm here to ask you whats your score on AnTuTu Benchmark.
Why?
Cause my Defy+ just got 2872 points and i see people with 7000 points without overclocking on the rank. (With overclock to 1350mhz it got 8396 points).
I use Quarx ROM 4.1.2 and the people that made 7000 points haves 4.1.2 too.
I have my crashes at my Defy+ i just have it stable if i close all apps =/ its normal? (Ik the defy its just single-core 1Ghz we cant wait a very good performance but the galaxy Y 850mhz of my friend answer fast the commands than my defy+ 1ghz).
If you have something to make the Defy+ faster and make more points at AnTuTu tell me.
Thanks!
Here's mine, all original:View attachment 2018654
I've already scored like 3000-3300. Dont you know that benchmarks can be manipulated? You can make your 350mhz 128 ram device to show a score like Galaxy S4 but it will be stil the same crap. Benchmarks are not the best way to test a device. Play around with it for about a day and you will decide if your device is faster with the changes you did.
Mine is about 3500....I am on [email protected] Ghz....I recommend u to underclock ur device 1350 is not that stable....after under clock u again test ur device m sure I'll get more score ....
#hit thanks if I helped

I'm using miui.us 1.6.24 and my phone is a flyer. I can overclock to 1.3ghz but stay at 1.2ghz. My battery life is around 30 hours and my Max quadrant score @ 1.2 ghz was 2884 at 1.3ghz it is 3064. Neocore I've yet to try. Cm7 did NOT agree with my battery as I got 6 hours from that rom

1. Mine is 800mhz, underclocked and undervolted for batery saving
2. 2.2.2 nordic 177 flawless
3. yes, not good enough for my taste tho, feels like not realy meant for defy.
4. for me, great!! 2 days on stand by, 24 hours of normal use (few calls, many emails and some bt headset), 10 hours of HEAVY use (bt headset + 3g/wifi internet radio all day + games)
5. 1200 ~ 1400
6. dont think so, locked bootloader =[
Hi,
Im trying to get a bit of rock ´n roll out of my Defy+ thru serious overclocking,
im running MS2Ginger 3.0 at the moment that doesnt seem to be the perfect rom for getting great speeds, but it works.
Been running 1350Mhz for a while which seems to work rather good, going to 1400 makes my Defy more sluggish than a led slug. So that doesnt work, atleast not for what i can see.
The problem i see is when running Quadrant benchmarks, i only get numbers around 300 on the 2D test, is that normal?
Can someone tell me about a rom that could make me roll even faster and higher up in the result lists of Quadrant benchmark?
Regards.
So 214 views and nobody knows anything? Sounds impoosible on this forum
Don't know much about fast ROMs but everybody brags about CM7, of course. Also there are some people who claim Mokee os (CM7 Based) is the fastest. Check them out and let us know what you find out
Anyway, they say Quadrant isn't everything.

Ok they say the Defy is a rugged phone but hell knows if that would be healthy for it. But as they say it aint the speed that kills its suddenly coming to a stop that kills so maybe i should go for a try
I recommend setting max and min to 1350 and also performance governor, on v6 supercharger before benching run an enginge flush and kill all apps using process manager except quadrant
DEFYing the Android planet with ICS
Ok i´ll try that V6 thingie but before that i thought i would tell what i have noticed so far.
MS2Ginger stayed around 1900 score on Quadrant with a top of 2100.
CyanogenMod seems to stay around 2400 with a peak of 2501 so far.
CyanogenMod seems to be better on the hardware tests except on the graphical parts where it seems to drop a couple of FPS, Anyone know any good
advice to maximize the graphical parts of CM?
A fun thing to notice is that with the original settings and MS2Ginger i achieved a score of 1350 and now riding around 2500, pretty nice.
One down thou with CM is that i woke up this morning without a statusbar and when the alarm went off i couldnt shut it off except for rebooting the phone.

Ok now im un-supercharged again, either i did something very wrong or that script only worked in the wrong direction on my Defy+. Installed it and ended up running 1700 - 1800 scores on Quadrant, uninstalled it and is now back to 2300, dont know where the last 100 - 200 points ended up, will do some more tests before moving on to the Mokee OS rom.
Have a safe day/evening
I jujst wanted to say that im in no way is trying to put down the MS2Ginger developers work, this is just me and personal opinions in the hunt for a better performing Defy+
Cheers
in my opinion, oc-ing the defy to over 1.2ghz makes no sense and it only damages your cpu in the long run. i think that managing your ram gives a lot smoother experience than oc-ing your phone, because the only apps that dont run smooth on this little beauty are hd games, but they were never intended to. im using ram manager pro from market (play store), try it, maybe it helps!

I have recently gotten my first android phone, (samsung gio S5660) and decided to install a custom rom on it and root it. I now have CM9 and I overclocked it to 900Mhz.
However, I get 6.2MFLOPS on the linpack test and between 250 and 300 points for processor in the quadrant (standard) test (which takes forever), I feel this is a bit low do you guys agree? And what would cause it? Should I try another rom? if so which one would you guys recommend?
nothing. who cares about scores?
its about how your phone performs, not how it scores into such apps..

These scores represent how my device performs during their tests, 3d wise its all ok, but the CPU seems to be slow which is noticeable when browsing the web for example (this is a guess tho, since I have not experienced any other android devices.)
I also experience some lagg in other applications and I wish for my device to run it as smooth as possible.
So, does anyone know why my CPU is getting these low grades? Or if I should move on to another ROM? Or if this speed is to be expected from a gio.
How are your cpu frequences set?
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda premium
Frequencies?
using setCPU I set the max frequency to 902 and min to 122, it has no effect on performance when I change the 122 to 902. I have set the "governor" to performance.
try delanoister BNC rom
I get on quadrant test 2576 point

What are your other devices? You must know gio is cheap, but mine still is pretty fast

LOL, the browsing in CM9 is just slow. It is beta. If you want a faster ROM (for now only) go flash CM7, its butter smooth.

Yeah, decided I would flash CM7 after an other rom did not flash well. Works like a charm CPU scores have gone up from 6MFlops to 11 and from 300pts to 800. Browsing works snappy and games work better.
Thanks guys for the help.
Don't belive benchmarks, theirs scores are NEVER true. Check it. Launch benchmark twice, you will see the difference

I know you shouldn't trust benchmarks too much, however I benched alot of times and I felt these marks where valid as in that they where twice as low as I was expecting them to be. Also the lagginess of some parts of the system made alarm bells go off.
However now it's fixed, and my gio is steaming ahead.
Thanks once again guys.
i have a galaxy s3.. when i run benchmark on antutu the score was 6503
and when i compare my phone to other on the ranking list and alot of people in the same phone got really high score
at 1st i thought they do overclock or use different ROMS, but when i do that it still the same
I WONDER HOW THEY DO THAT ??
is there any guide show me how to do it ??
In the page of jader's UHD he show his arc s's bench mark as 6205:laugh:
i can't even score this is Gingerbread with overclocked settings
is there was any possible way to achieve that score in arc s using UHD???
Yes there is
Wid kernel,tweaks and ram
He could have greenified all background apps
Some libs give better benchmark but less performance
There are many ways to increase benchmark

Don't be too disappointed with the benchmark score. It's not an accurate method to gauge phone performance. Two Arcs running the same ROM will have different benchmark scores because of the different apps installed and the different settings used. The ROM is good enough as long as it runs smoothly and is stable enough for daily use. No need to compare benchmark scores and see whose phone is the best. I got a user with a phone that got a low benchmark score but it runs smoothly.
