[Q] Ten posts?

Why do we have to post ten times before we can post in the development section? not trying to be an ass, but I wouldn't be wasting everyones time with this post if I could just post where I wanted. I have been a tester since first picked up an android (samsung moment) and realized it had severe data lockup issues.

I just want to get these out of the way so I can be part of the community. I don't want to throw up stupid posts where they don't belong. I do use the search box. All the time. Otherwise maybe I could post about things other people have posted about several times. I hate it when I have something relevant to say and I am blocked by technicalities.

Because it keeps people from posting non development threads in three development section. It really isn't that hard to make 10 posts. It can be anywhere on xda.

You'd be surprised how many less questions are posted in the development section since they stayed the 10 post rule. It is what it is & it'd be nice of it could go case by case, but it can't, so just keep posting.

Well the sooner I can get these out of the way, the happier I'll be. I don't mean to be a whiner. At least they don't make us do recap puzzles like on sdx.

I try not to post in questions anyway. If I have something to say, I usually try to post in the thread that makes the most sense.

I get the reasoning but I also agree with you.
It is the few though that abuse or just refuse to look for the information that ruin it for the rest.

Hey I actually do have a question, but it is about xda not the epic g2. This has been bothering the hell out of me. Is there a way to set the time on my profile or something? Xda time is 5 hrs ahead and it throws me off every time I look at it.

And thats ten. Sorry to waste anyones time here. Feel free to delete this thread. This will be the last time I post something this useless.

Oh by the way for some reason the time i have is correct. Must be my luck

To change time settings go to USER CP>options and you should see the time zone settings.

Not everyone has intelligent posts in the beginning. It also emphasizes the importance of being on topic in development section. I wonder WTF time zone this goes off of as well. I am in Cali and it says the next days date early in the evening. Anyone trying to get their 10 posts have an answer?? Lol

If you were on a certain car forum I frequent. All your posts would be deleted to keep you under 10 posts for post whoring yourself to hit the post limit to post in the dev section.

Thats kind of mean... even if he does refuse to listen to instructions to post in the q & a thread he is just trying to get help. No reason for you to say that.

How can u say that when u can see all his posts containing "deleted blah blah" all over the general section? Every thread he opened told him to ask in Q&A thread and clearly he doesn't give a **** about rules.

Well he is new after all. Might take a while to get used to the forum and its rules, he may just be unfamiliar. Besides, he has only created about 6 threads so far, which really isnt that much.

Well when I was new here, I never did this. I always tried to find a way to fix my problems on my own and if nothing turns up, i look for help.
My guess is this guy did not watch the noob video XDA wants him to watch so he learns the BASIC rules. The General Section CLEARLY has a stickied thread for ALL questions yet he seems to act like it does not exist. In all of my time here in XDA I have NEVER created thread just for this purpose.

Well I hope he learns his lesson. If this keeps up, I will be forced to take action and inform the forum moderators for this matter. A temporary suspension (is such exists) or a permanent ban/deactivation are my courses of action. I will not tolerate this kind of behavior, to me it is insulting and also irritating to keep seeing threads like these all around the forums.

Major lag in stock messaging app

I've been experiencing some major lag in the stock messaging up lately. It takes forever to open, messages open real slow, just incredibly laggy. I'm on the Wicked v10 rom and I have a T-mo GS3. I've tried just about everything and I clear the caches regularly. Does anyone know how I can fix this or what may be happening or even suggest a better sms app. Thanks in advance and any help is greatly appreciated.

I think a few others have reported issues with mms. Did you search the wicked thread?

hangouts camera error

Has anyone experienced a camera error on hangout app? I try a video call and i can see the person im vid chatting with, they can hear me but all they see is my user icon. If i press the camera button i get "camera error". Anyone ever see this and know a solution? Ive tried the app from the playsyore as well guntherics and team blackouts..all the same error. Happened on my previous phone and my new one now.

What ROM, and should probably post questions in the q&a. Would've got more responses by now.

You are using the XDA Android application so hit the "More" tab, hit "Search", and enter "T-mobile Note 3 mass storage". There's one thread that tells you how.
