[Xperia S] New Firmware, Old Roms LB/UB - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hello guys!
I have a question for you. Now with the new firmware based on JB rolling out, will people with Locked Bootloader be able to flash custom roms that are based on, for instance, leaked version of JB ? Thanks !

You'll be able to flash stock based roms based on stock sony jb. But the leak is technically older so not much point in that one

Maybe it wasn't a good example. But again, will I be able to flash MIUI v5, wich os based in 4.1.2 ?
There's lots of ROMs that are based on 4.1.2, and all of these require a XS with unlocked bootloader, since there was no official JB for Xperia S. But now that we have official JB, is still a requirement to have an unlocked bootloader?
Sorry my english :/

Only the roms based on the 200 JB firmware will work. CM/AOKP/AOSP etc based roms use different kernels still so you'd still need to be unlocked to flash them

You can't flash custom roms without unlocking bootloader ! It's a rule...!
you can flash any stock based custom roms. but you need root and recovery first

the difference between m16 and mj5

Hello
I want to know what is the difference between m16 and mj5
And which of them is better
And does any note 2 device can run all of them or every one of them requires spacific recuirements
MI6 build was first leaked 4.3 ROM
MJ5 was second and subsequent leaked build. Consensus is official version will be fully functoinal MJ5.
MJ5 requires the new bootloader to be flashed otherwise your wifi will not work. If you flash new bootloader you cannot downgrade to 4.1 ROMs, you will have to stay on 4.3. Also Knox is integrated into MJ5 while MI6 not so much.
My personal choice is to stick with MI6 until official ROM drops and our devs tear it apart and make it work 'xda' style
Both work on International 7100

Why? i dont know if 4.2 bootloader is locked. But you cant install 4.2 AOSP rom in stock 4.2, you need stock 4.1.
You can flash anything on stock 4.2, just root it and start flashing 4.4 roms

That's the thing bro, the bootloader in 4.2 is locked and that's why we have to flash 4.3 or 4.2 roms in stock 4.1.2

Nope. The 4.2 bootloader isn't compatible with aosp 4.2 (just reminding, 4.3.1 is compatible to stock 4.2). 4.2 bootloader compatible with aosp 4.4, its not locked

If you can use single sim only, use Kitkat X rom. Flash it on Stock Rom 4.2.2

yes 4.2.2 has issue but in the latest official build...if you want you can go for official 4.2.2 (K3- ODA version) and if you want to experience even better gaming then go for kitkat X which is pure performance ROM (4.4.2) check his thread and what requirements you will be needing to UPGRADE to 4.4.2
Umm srry for the stupid question (i'm still a noob :fingers-crossed can u give a link to official 4.2.2 (K3- ODA version) so i dont flash any other version ..srry for the trouble

If you want to go with an AOSP ROM, just flash it (per the instructions, of course).
For a stock based (Touchwiz), you should be able to just flash it, then flash a custom kernel (exact instructions should be in the OP).
If you have to, you can upgrade your bootloader, but I wouldn't worry about that til you have to...
I know the AOSP rom instructions.
For touchwiz i reinstall stock rom ma4 but i try the OTA and say no updates for me
