Build.prop enable Network Mode in mobile networks - LG Optimus G Pro

I'm not responsible for bricking your device.
In build.prop using RootExplorer I changed the
ro.radio.networkmode=disable to ro.radio.networkmode=enable. And now I have a selection to choose network mode I'm setting/mobile networks.

So we could use GSM/WCDMA preferred to save battery but still get hspa+ speeds. Nice. Thanks for the tutorial. Have you found any issues yet? Like network reverting after reboot or loss of data, etc?

Anyone with some cajones wanna try changing this value : ro.radio.topreviousmode=disable
I saw it directly below and my brain is interpreting or like "when phone reboots, default to previous network mode" which may show selections to persist through reboot. I'm not going to mess with it since I don't rightly care, but I figured I'd post it to see if anyone wanted to see if that works.

It's basically the settings for what your uses to connect to the network.

Bell: pda.bell.ca. Currently checked

Sprint connection optimizer

I deleted the sprint connection optimizer from my phone and am now getting download speeds of about 1Mbps whereas before I was getting 150-200Kbps. It might just be me but worth trying out if you are rooted.

I always remove it first thing on any ROM. Even on my GS3. It took up so much battery by itself by turning my wifi on and off and messing with my data.
So once rooted and bootloader unlocked would I just go to system/app and delete what? Is it the WiFiOffLoad.apk and the WiFiOffLoad.odex? Thanks

Is there any merit to this? How is deleting C.O. making your download speeds faster?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Whether or not this works for anyone else or why it works for me is unknown. All I know is that before and after the deletion my download speeds increased. Whether or not it coincided with a network improvement that is causing my speed increase I don't know.
I have compared my results with a friend with the same phone but is completely stock and my download speeds are significantly more than his.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
Well it doesn't hurt to try. I'll check if it does anything to my speeds and report back.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
I'm not sure if it's a fluke but it does seem that I am getting better download speeds. Top 2 scores are with C.O. uninstalled and bottom 2 are with C.O. Installed. Maybe you are onto something. I'll perform more tests later on since there isn't sufficient data to prove this yet.
Edit: Before I tested with/without C.O, I updated the PRL. Both internal/external IPs were different. No speed changes were seen without updating PRL with/without C.O. I doubt removing C.O does anything to increase speeds.

[Q] How to remove LTE setting.

Hey!
I got big problem with my F180K (korean version LGOG). On original rom there isn't any setting for 3G ONLY, or another. I want to delete LTE setting from phone. I just dont wanna use LTE... BUT: I can't use 3G too... Every 2 - 5 minutes smartphone looks for LTE signal. When its looking for LTE i dont have signal on my phone. I WANT HAVE ONLY 3G!
Is there any setting inside the phone which i could delete and "tell" him that he MUSTNT look for LTE and use !ONLY! 3G?
Reply asap please.
Thanks
hope this helps.
type this *#*#4636#*#*
then look for wcdma only option.
dont worry to mess around, it resets to normal once rebotted.
