Hi Sniper.
Actually if you flash any, Relock File For Your Xperia With TA partition ticked while flashing.
It will get you DRM keys back.
I have tested it myself on my Xperia.
And Everything is working for me.
You can try as well.
I hope this information seems helpful to you,
Greetings,

Hello @THE $niper,
First off all,
After the Relock and retrieval of TA partition from Stock Clean ftf
My Track ID, Bravia Engine, And All The Services From Sony Works.
If Its still hard for you to understand I'd try to make it more simple for you.
I hope this information helps you in some way, basically its just backing up the TA partition.
I hope you understand now?
Reagrds,

There's a guided topic on how to get BE back here on xda

i thought the drm keys are linked to the specific handset, so i don't think that relocking and flashing a generic ftf will get your drm keys back?
::EDIT::
having said this, i'm sure i read somewhere recently that the JB firmware's don't need drm keys for things like music info/BE/track id etc to work? I honestly can;t rememebr which thread i was reading this in though, sorry :\

First of All Since You have Unlocked Your Bootloader Already I dont think you can recover your DRM keys from TA partition
What you can do now?
1. FLash Stock (Exclude TA prtition)
2. Flash Relock (Include TA partition)
3. Update JB via PCC or SUS
4. Your phone will have working BE, XLoud, Track id and all Sony Enhancements.

If u had backed up TA and relock, BE will come back.
After relock u can test BE by:
Choose a picture with bright color
- enable BE -> open picture -> take screen shot
- disable BE -> open the same picture (not screen shot) -> take screen shot
=> go to album and compare them, if it have diff means that BE work.

I followed the steps you wrote and did not see differences.
I had unlocked bootloader and locked again without backup TA. Is there anything I can do?
maybe restore in my device a backup of another device with same rom version.

I don't think that your method will work, because the backup TA is bound to your IMEI.
So your BE is lost I guess.

You must back up TA before u UB so if u had UB without backup TA and relock, your BE was lose ...
@balabak69
@vinaaa
1) If you didn't made your TA backup before unlock the bootloader, you've lost your Bravia Engine 2 forever, and there's nothing that can bring it back now.
2) If you try to use someone else's TA backup, you'll hard brick your device and Sony will not give you another one.
3) A word of hope: who knows in the future (who knows, even in the near future) maybe you'll be able to flash X Reality (Bravia Engine 3) instead of Bravia Engine 2.

I hadn't realized the bravia engine would go away as well... I've rooted... and basically done what I really needed to do thus far to it... I'm just exploring the other options... assuming my wife wants to use it as her daily phone, I won't be messing with it much after the initial setup anyway.
i root my xperia with KINGO ROOT, simple and fast
plug your device, enable usb debugging and click root.. works fine in .2.67!!

Well as per recent info, it tracks many info from the phone while rooting as in IMEI number, some personal info etc. so it still being reviewed, unless its confirmed to be safe its better not to use Kingo Root.

Hey guys!
I just bought my Z1 Compact two days ago and gonna love it,and today i'm spending all day long
just to find out how to root it.I found a tutorial on this forum how to do it,since this is my very first rooting i'm
pretty much confuse, right now my phone is jammed and keep booting on and sometime "Sony" logo
appeared for so long until i turning off my phone "Volume Up+Power" since the "Power" button won't work properly.
I think i have delete whole android system file and i don't make any backup.
Can i get my phone run as normally back?
I need help.

The solution will probably be to flash a stock FTF with Flashtool, but this is the Xperia Z section, so your thread shouldn't really be here.
You should ask in the correct forum for your device - Xperia Z1 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.

what have you done to make it work?
I download this TFT file. It's a android jelly bean for my Z1c.
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2615874
and flash it using Flashtool
Code:
http://www.flashtool.net/download.php
So after finish flashing in order to get my phone rooted i download CWM
to unlock my bootloader.
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2620794
After bootloader is unlocked i'm installing supersu to get rooted.
Code:
http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu
And then i do a simple backup using this method
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598
---
Before this i thought i have delete my whole system but i was wrong
because i unlock my bootloader using fastboot
and download false version of CWM (14.3.A.0.681) since
my current android version is 14.2.A.1.114.So it does not fits
together.
@ kingvortex nice to see you here :good:

Hello. I just moved to Z5 premium from N7100. It came with the latest firmware(.224). I read the thread about rooting Z5 premium and I saw something about "DRM keys". They said that the tool used to backup DRM keys called iovyroot is not working on the latest firmware. So, is there any ways to downgrade or should I just wait for the developer to update the tool?
