Yesterday I accidentally stretched my earphones and now one side is not producing any sound. Does the samsungs warranty cover this issue? Can they be fixed or I need to buy new?
No

Yes
Sounds like you broke the wire inside the casing. Ear buds can be pretty low cost, not cost effective to repair.

My EVO's back speaker sounds distorted. It's very scratchy sounding. My Hero had the same problem and all I did was took it in and they replaced it. Is it an HTC thing or am I the only one?!
Mine has been sounding that way lately too. This sucks, even my ringtones sound like garbage now
Thats an easy way to get a brand new one for free

True story. I went in and Sprint ordered me a new one. Originally they said they were gonna order me a refurb but I raised cane about wanting a new one so the issue wouldn't happen again if it was a hardware issue. Ended up getting a brand new one in the box and a bluetooth headset because it took so long.
Was this within the 30 day policy? My front speaker sounds like crap anyone else have that problem?

mine sounds like that whenever i set volume at its highest
The speakers in these phones are little ribbon speakers, they're crap but it's the only thing that will fit in the phone that keeps the thin profile.
My buddy ran into this TWICE now, where it sounded like it was blown. Sprint repair centers will replace these on the spot if they have them for free if you've got the insurance. Basically if any dust or metal or ANYTHING gets near that speaker, it vibrates with the ribbon and makes it sound like crap. My friend uses a grinder in his shop sometimes, and he had the SMALLEST metal particles that got into the speaker housing and damaged it. The earpiece speaker is the same type.
I am in the middle of replacing the glass on my wife's Note II and realized I lost the little earpiece speaker cover at the top of the phone when I removed the old glass.
Does anyone know where I can buy one? I found people selling the home buttons, volume controls and power buttons but no earpiece speaker grilles.
Thanks a million in advance!!!
I am in the same boat, did you come across one?
Use the one from the previous glass????

It's lost. Not sure if you can take parts off a dummy phone. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...10&keywords=Samsung+galaxy+note+2+dummy+phone
So I recently fixed my one m8 screen which went well. Unfortunately during the process I ruined the top speaker.
Today I got a replacement but it's **** and sounds terrible, it functions at low volumes but distorts badly after medium volume.
My question is do you guys know any links to good replacements?
Also would it be possible to remove the speaker from the bottom speaker housing and put it in the top?
Cause ifixit only sells the bottom speaker, and i'd trust that speaker more than random ebay ones.
Thanks in advance.
I see a lot of talk about the lack of waterproofing on the pixel phone but you have to consider the fact that it has a headphone jack mounted on the top of a big open hole that's all the water in is a huge factor in its lack of waterproofness.
Why not just add a port plug how waterproof would it become? And include the same for the USBC.
Would the pinhole for the sim, mic and the volume rocker power button be a factor?
Dropping it in a lake or toilet maybe a bigger hazard.
Galaxy phones have headphone jacks and water resistant. Not a real reason not to have it

Whether or not is has port plugs, there's more to waterproofing, mainly in the speaker area.
And from what I've read it is IP53 rated which means it can get wet, it just can't withstand water jets or submerging. My HTC 10 is IP53 and I've used it in heavy rain on multiple occasions. You just can't use it underwater to impress your friends.

Note 7/S7, and other phones I believe as well have IP68 rating with open speaker holes, headphones jack hole, charging port hole, mic holes.... it's not the hole that matters, it's what you put inside the hole that makes it waterproof.

??? good one
Is it just me or is it impossible to use the ear piece for a phone call and actually understand the person on the other end? Speaker phone works great, Bluetooth great, but using the ear piece I get what sounds like enormously compressed audio to the point of borderline just noise.
Anyone else or is my device broken? I had the screen replaced but never used the ear piece before that (I typically use Bluetooth). Did the repair mess up my earpiece?
Mine works perfectly as good as my note 10+

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like mine was either defective or they broke it replacing the screen.
Probably the latter..

sorry to hear. but your ear piece was probably damaged during the repair.
