{BOOT DOWNANIMATION}{SPLASHSCREEN} Portal 2 - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

You Must have root to do this.
I have put together a downanimation for 480x800 devices, along with a flashable splash screen to replace "htc" on boot. The down animation shows the Aperture Science logo fading into a black background.
To flash the splash image, download the image file below (splash1.img) and save to the same folder you have fastboot. Boot the phone into fastboot and open a Command Prompt and direct to the flashboot location. Once the phone is connected in fastboot type this code:
Code:
fastboot flash splash1 splash1.img
Once this is done, you are free to power down and proceed.
The downanimation file below will need to be renamed downanimation.zip
Instructions to flash
Boot Phone, with file in root of sdcard.
Rename your bootanimation4.zip to downanimation.zip. Copy the file to system/customize/resource with root explorer
In root explorer hold your finger on the file till the menu pops up. Tap on "permissions"
Owner: read & write checked, execute unchecked
Group: read checked, rest unchecked
Others: read checked, rest unchecked
4. Restart and you're done!
Thanks to;
Valve for the awesome game.
Euphorie for the base logo on my downanimation
Feel free to ask any questions below

I forgot to mention a great Bootanimation to match this.

Custom Ubuntu/HTC Animated Boot Screen & Sounds

Hello Everyone,
I was getting sick of hearing the same boot noises and pictures. The HTC startup is pretty ok, but I think mine's a little more polished. OBVIOUSLY it's not running ubuntu, but I really like 9.10's grub boot sequence. I also attached the matching bootsplash for replacing the T-Mobile screen. The sounds are from www.gnome-look.org, however I have edited them to match. Let me know what you think!
I'm thinking of making one with the android logo blending into the HTC logo if there is interest. Also, HTC themes are free to use it if they like, just credit me.
Can we use this on CM's latest or do we have to be running Hero/Rogers roms for the animated boot screen? I was under the impression that only those roms had animated boot images.
Also how is this applied? Extract the zip and follow any one of the guides posted on the forums for changing boot screens or can this be flashed like an update?
(Pretty sure I know the answer to the second half, but I thought it may be helpful to other members who will read this.)

Nope, you're going to need an HTC build of some sort. You can use the non-animated bootscreen that appears before the recovery which I included. It replaces the T-Mobile G1 screen.
HOW TO APPLY:
HTC ROMs:
1. ADB push the boot.gif to /system/media/boot.gif
Code:
adb remount
adb push %pathtosavedfiles%\boot.gif /system/media/boot.gif
2. ADB push the boot.mp3 to /system/media/boot.mp3
Code:
adb remount
adb push %pathtosavedfiles%\boot.mp3 /system/media/boot.mp3
3. Search on the forums for 'boot screen flasher 3000'
4. Download and extract the folder to C:\Temp\BootScreenFlasher3000\%zipcontents%
5. Place the file called 'mysplash.rgb565' from my zip into the folder in step 4.
5. Open a command prompt (Start Menu > Run > cmd > ok) and type
Code:
cd C:\Temp\BootScreenFlasher\
bootflash.bat
6. Follow the instructions to flash it.
You will now have both the T-Mobile replacement and the HTC animated replacement screens.
ALL OTHER ROMs:
1. Search on the forums for 'boot screen flasher 3000'
2. Download and extract the folder to C:\Temp\BootScreenFlasher3000\%zipcontents%
3. Place the file called 'mysplash.rgb565' from my zip into the folder in step 4.
4. Open a command prompt (Start Menu > Run > cmd > ok) and type
Code:
cd C:\Temp\BootScreenFlasher\
bootflash.bat
5. Follow the instructions to flash it.
That's all. Thanks ccunningham83 for reminding me about instructions...

[Q] can't flash loading screen

Hi guys,
I recently rooted and S-OFF'ed my Desire. Really amazing. Everything went fine.
Really enjoying my phone more than ever before.
Now trying to flash my splash screen and boot loading screen.
I'm using Android Flasher 1.8.0 as suggested in the Noob tutorial section.
Splash screen went fine. Automatically reboots into fastboot. And flashes.
The tutorial doesn't actually doesn't go deeper into flashing the loading screen and whether or not it's supposed to automatically reboot into fastboot.
When i manually reboot into fastboot sometimes it can't find the process fastboot.exe and sometimes it can.
When it can it says it can't find my device when it's trying to flash the new loading screen. I don't understand why. Everything else i have tried works fine (except the first time i tried to S-OFF, it also said it couldn't find my device)
It did actually remove my RCmix-S loading screen. So now i only get a black screen when starting up. Everyhing still works fine though. Boots normally.
What should I do?
You cannot flash a new bootanimation with android flasher or fastboot. You have to replace the bootanimation.zip in /data/local or /system/media. You are s-off, so you can do this in os. Just use an explorer with root access (e.g. root explorer), mount /data or /system as r/w (read write) and replace the existing one with yours (but make a backup of the old before and make sure you used the correct resolution).
Okay that was kind of confusing then.
Still weird it's not recognizing my phone but is finding fastboot.exe
Anyway I got root explorer mounted /data/local and put a bootanimation.zip in the folder. It doesn't work though. Does it also have to be in /system/media
or just in one of them??
Thnx
It only has to be in /system/media.
SwiftKeyed from Oxygen with Transparent XDA App
i got a weird error trying to flash a new splash screen
"sending splash1...OKAY"
"writing splash1"...FAILED <remote not allowed>
phone is recognised in fastboot etc...
any ideas?
thanks

Do not post in a thread which has nothing to do with your problem! And use the search.
I tried putting it only in /system/media and only in /data/local.
Both don't work.
My loading screen is still total black. I don't get it. What am I doing wrong. Is there some other file interfering. Do I have to delete something else....

It does not have the correct resolution. It has to be 480x800.
Actually it has. I checked.
They are 480 x 800, 24 bit *.PNG. Downloaded these in the splash screen thread.
I got it sort of working now.
I renamed the zip to bootanim.zip instead of bootanimation.zip. Don't know if it should matter but now i'm getting a loading screen.
It's just text reading "Android" with a animated glow going over it.
This is not the one i put on the phone though. Not the pictures in the zip.
Is this some kind of default loading screen?
Which means it's still not working....
Which rom do you currently run? If a sense one, the bootanimation has to be in /data/local. If aosp one, it has to be in /system/media. That's the basic. Furthermore, in your bootanimation.zip has to be minimum two parts:
- one folder named part0
- one file named "desc.txt" (description file)
In the folder named part0 has to be the png files in the correct resolution (480x800x24). In the desc.txt you have to put the following ouput:
Code:
480 400 x p 1 0 part0
'480' is the width (not variable)
'800' is the height (not variable)
'x' is here just a placeholder. You have to replace with a number. This number sets the frames (your choice, what you set)
'1' is the count how often the bootanimation loops (your choice)
'0' sets the a pause (max 10 possible)
'part 0' sets the folder in which the bootanimation files are (not variable).

Woooot it's working!!
I'm using RCMixS_v2.0_A2SD+_BravoHboot which is a sense rom.
I put it in /data/local.
The animation was only 6 frames. Which was incorrect in the desc.txt.
Also using NO compression when zipping was the key.
Not knowing this is probably key to many people not getting this to work.
Maybe it's a good idea to have that tutorial be made a sticky or include it in the "Complete upgrading guide"
Thnx a lot MatDrOiD!

Google Pixel Boot Logo and Bootanimation

I found this boot animation for Nexus 5 thread, and flashed it on our Moto G and it works on Moto G Falcon. Perhaps the screen size difference is small (4.5" vs 4.95"), hence it works.
Black boot animation --> http://www.mediafire.com/file/iq6gj...tHTC-Black-bootanimation-Nexus5-flashable.zip
Whilte boot animation --> http://www.mediafire.com/file/86naf...tHTC-White-bootanimation-Nexus5-flashable.zip
If you want to resize the boot animation, then you need to unpack it, and change the desc.txt to the correct resolution and push it to /system/media with a root explorer.
Credit goes to @edwaine and his post at http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...gle-pixel-experience-bokroms-santosh-t3479459 .
Thanks
I amended the above file and created a correct sized 720p Google boot logo and boot animation for Moto G Falcon. Both are in white color.
Boot Animation - How To :
1. Change the file name to bootanimation.zip
2. Back up your existing bootanimation file by renaming it to bootanimation.bak (in case you decide to revert back to the old boot animation)
3. Using root explorer, push it to /system/media
4. Set permission to 644
Boot Logo -How to:
1. Rename the file to logo.bin (not uncompress as the file is not a zip file but a bin file, as xda does not permit bin file to be uploaded)
2. Using fastboot, flash it using the following command:
Code:
fastboot flash logo /path/to/logo.bin
Pixel is here on Moto G Falcon

For the boot logo, you need to flash is using fastboot. Change the logo.bin.zip filename to logo.bin, as xda does not permit bin file to be loaded, then fastboot flash it using the following command:
fastboot flash logo /path/to/logo.bin

White logo.bin.zip re-uploaded. Remember to rename it to logo.bin before flashing it using fastboot (not uncompress as it's not a zip file).

That's weird. I tried flashing both white and black logo on my falcon yesterday and it worked.
Anyway, I loaded a zip file of both white and black logo.bin files here.
Uncompress them and you'll see these files:
logowhite.bin
logoblack.bin
Then fastboot flash either one of your choice to your phone, and see if it works.

Is said that "logo.zip" must be renamed to "logo.bin" in order to be able to use FASTBOOT and flash "logo.bin" directly on the phone.
Please, READ.

Liquid Chemical Boot Animation For Xiaomi Mi A1 (Very easy to use)

A Simple yet amazing boot animation. People who hate long boot time, can try this boot animation. it will boot your device within a few seconds and also make it more appealing. I am sure you will love it. Try it to believe it.
Instruction to use:
You don't really need to flash the zip file. I will make it very simple for you. Just download the zip file from the given link. The zip file will be like "bootanimation.zip". Now just open ES file explorer or any file manager with root access. Now locate the downloaded bootanimation.zip file and copy it. Now go to /system/media and you will see there is already a bootanimation.zip file. That is your current boot animation zip file. Just rename the current bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip1 for future reference and now paste the downloaded bootanimation.zip file that you copied earlier. Now just restart your device and enjoy all the superheroes on your device. Please note, it won't replace the stock "AndroidOne" splash screen that shows at the beginning.
