Just flashed this latest ROM [ROM] [JB 4.2.2] CM10.1/SGT7 for the Kindle Fire [20130526]. Launcher setting for Auto-Rotate is checked but screen does not rotate.
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks - The Don

I have not experienced that.....you should try a fresh clean flash
My Kindle Has The Same Problem
Mine also has that problem. I am running CM10.1 RC-4 for Otter on mine, and the accelerometer just went kaput. I am currently trying to fix it by reflashing the package and stuff like that. Does anyone have a solution? I hope I can get it to work again.

I fixed the rotation problem on my Kindle Fire with CM10.1 . The way I fixed it was by flashing another ROM. The one I flashed was cm-10.1.0-RC2 . I am not sure whether RC3 works or not, but RC2 does fix the accelerometer problem. One word of advice: STAY AWAY FROM RC4. Hope this helps. You're welcome! Let me know if this fixes your Kindle problems. :victory:

I'm now running the 5-30 ROM with no screen rotation issues.
Great running ROM exept for the occasional browser crash.

The rotation bug turned out to be an issue in recent CM builds.
CM10.1 "stable"
Just this morning flashed the CM10.1 "stable" ROM and the auto rotate bug is still there from the RC4 build. Do I need to wipe my data to fix this?
Thanks in advance
I posted this in the other thread. This has happen to me on the RC and now the official build. When I flashed the Nightlies, I do not get this.
I just went with the 0624 and previously the 0612 and the auto rotates were fine.
Not sure why.

maybe should downgrade to 4.1.2 to use...
Nightly build 20130607 was not auto rotating for me. Upgraded to 20130719 and rotation worked fine once more.

Happily installed the new version of HboGo yesterday (my fire is running twa_priv's "JellyBean ROM using SGT7 enhancements"), but it force closes immediately on startup everytime. Anyone had more success, with this ROM or any others?

The ROM had just been updated, saying it supports HBOGo, maybe upgrade to the newest ROM version, and give it a try again. I am running the same ROM, and I will let you know if it works on mine. (Latest Version
EDIT:
Yeah, it works fine for me.
I am currently running a CM10 rom by "erickwill". I have a Telus T989D and tried flashing the Darkside Kernel - hercules_DARKSIDE.VENOM_A07.3_CM10.
After flashing rotation was reversed, so portrait became landscape and landscape became portrait. Calibration did nothing.
Does anyone know:
1. How to fix the rotation issue?
2. Or if there is a CM10 Darkside kernel for Telus?
Thanks!

Flash the rotation_fix.zip from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779819 I had this exact same issue a week ago.
I use the hercules_DARKSIDE.VENOM_A07.3_CM10.zip kernel, with any of the CM10 Nightlies.
For a radio, i use Telus_SGH-T989D_TLLE4_radio.zip : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1639771
And lastly for recovery, cwm6012touch_v12.5_hercules.zip : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1844637
Awesome. Rotation zip fixed it. Thanks!

Glad to hear! I'm using the same phone you are, still wrapping my head around all these different packages, but I've mostly got it sorted, I think.
It can get confusing for sure. I've been running CM9 on my HP Touchpad for a few month now, so most of this stuff is becoming more familiar.
I love this phone. CM10 is awesome if you really want to be on the cutting edge. I have a Nandroid that has the DARKSIDE kernel installed but I'm REALLY diggin Jedi Knight right now lol....
I am up in prince george on telus. Here is the best setup I have found with my phone so far.
Rom: Jedi Mind Trick v7
Kernal: Faux123-009
Launcher: Nova Launcher
Radio: Blaze_LB7_ICS
I tried a few other rom's but always had issues. The changing the launcher on Jedi Mind Trick helped lots.
I'm building a JB ROM for Telus/Hercules if anyone is interested... I keep it as stock as possible so you can tweak it the way you like it.
Runs rock solid, no reboots/etc, no rotation fix required, awesome battery life... Potluck JB
I also use the the UVLH radio, rather than the TLLE4 radio - reception seems better with the newer radio.

Ahhhh...I just posted a question about this very thing, all it took was a minute more searching but I knew that would happen...
Thanks for the links to the radios.
Hi, I installed the SGT7 CM10.1 custom rom and after that the TVCatchup application wasn't working anymore. With the Amazon OS it was working without any issue. I am wondering if it is because of the HD codecs issue with that rom or not? If any UK member can confirm this, it would be really helpful.
Thanks

I can nearly guarantee that it is an issue with the HDcodec. If you want your video apps I would go back to stock, or wait if you can for the HDcodec fix. You can always try your video apps, but I would be prepared for most of them not to work. Some will but it's a known issue that is being worked on.
Thanks for the reply mate. I read that Hashcode is working on it. I hope that it will be fixed soon. I love the CM 10.1 rom.

Its an issue with auto rotation. You need to flash the rooted stock ROM (somewhere around here), do the basic setup & flash JellyTime again.
A simple search would have solved this problem without the need to make a new thread
What Guy said. But also: JellyTime AOKP is quite old. If it's AOKP you're after, there's another AOKP ROM running around now that's newer. You might want to check that out.

Hi. I have been using jellytime 4.2.2 r11 for about 2 months now. And have had only the occasional force restart. Every time i loose signal, it comes up with a notification in the top notification bar saying so. But, since Tuesday, every time i loose connection, it now vibrates, and plays my notification tone out loud. It never used to do this. And now its getting me to the point of insanity. I did not change any settings as far as I know. I've searched the first 20 pages of Google looking for a solution to stop the vibrate and tone, but I could not find one. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Hello,
You need to tell that to the dev team of JellyTime 4.2.2. I think it is a ROM problem. FYI the most stable JellyTime 4.2.2 ROM is the r9.
Hope it helps.
Regards.
Thank you for the response.
I have messaged randomblame with my issue. Hopefully it can be resolved quick. If not, I'll go to r11.
Its strange that I haven't seen anyone else with this issue. Maybe I'm not seeing the setting for it.
Either way, thanks a bunch.

I've been using JellyTime 4.2.2 R11 from the time it was released by RB and I haven't had a problem with the Rom. In fact it's as good as a stable 4.2.2. Fast and reliable. The problems usually arise at the pre-flashing stages.

I just wanted to ask: what did you do before flashing the ROM? Full (data) wipe/factory reset + cache wipe+ dalvik wipe?
Just curious cos I've followed that procedure and it's limited if not eradicated all or any bugs usually reported for me personally
I've also had the occasional "loss of connection" but after flashing a new radio that sorted out my problems :victory:
Hope my input helps
Just before I flashed the ROM I had only just used aahk2. So I had not changed anything.
I have not flashed a radio for fear of bricking, although I may if that is what it takes.
I have not received a reply from randomblame.
All support is appreciated.
