Battery life android 4.2 - HTC One X

I've tried a few android 4.2 roms, and the battery drains too fast? Any advice on how to deal with it? It was great on 4.1
Attachment is my capture of betterbatterstats, can someone tell me if the stats is somehow abnormal as well as how to enhance? I'm using Rom SentinelROM v4.60-CM10.1
thanks

Use xmkernel , underclock it , undervolt it , switch off location services and reduce brightness to min

What ROM are you using now?
Are you using a Live Wallpaper?
Also mention something you've done after which the battery drained faster... (something done after rooting)...
I don't know and im not using a live wallpaper.but when I rooted the first app I installed was set CPU and its on highest frequency, also when u finished rooting I remember that I entered cmw and flashed an update.zip which came by itself.could you please give me a battery saving ram?

I think its definitely setCPU. When i installed it my cpu freqquencies would change every second between min and max frequency(no matter what governor i used). The result:excessive battery drain
I think its because stock kernel doesnt support overclocking(or even underclocking)...May be the devs could explain it
After i did a factory reset, battery is ok now for me. No battery drain when kept idle for a night:good:
P.S. Also before reset my HW decoding(in video playback) wasn't working(now its ok)....any1 experienced this too?
The problem isn't setcpu the problem is that he set it to 2ghz

I think it is the setCPU too, try to use no-frills, it is a tad better in my opinion, but stock kernel doesn't like non-stock settings that is for sure.
I upgraded to rc2.1 cz they told me that the battery drain will decrease, but its still the same

how often do you use your phone and what operations do you do with it... are you always on full brightness? is your gps always on? are you always on wifi or bluetooth? some things to consider that may take chunks of battery life..
Always on wifi

you need to reset the battery by the sounds of it, empty your battery tonight, run some games or put youtube on or something....there used to be an app on the market that would run gps\wifi\brightness all max etc and empty your battery for you....not sure if it's still there.....but when you do root you can clear battery stats which will make your life easier....but yea empty it, charge it while it's off and HOPFULLY everything will be fine for you also as a sidenote, i charge my phone with wifi on and internet radio playing in the night and charges to 100% fine
When should I clear the battery stats?

it's known to reset the "capacity" of battery, but personally i don't believe it.
Use program BetterBatteryStats and see what's keeping your mobile phone awake, and also install CPU Spy to see on what frequency is your phone mainly working.

Not true, those programs are used only for troubleshooting, and are mostly deleted afterwards.

head to This thread....it may help u...
so i did a calibration.
Let it uncharge until it turned off - then boot recovery and wiped battery stats. Then reload and charged it full , but my battery is still going down by 30% by night (wifi off and nothing done)
But i figured out, that my mobile-standby used about 28% when the screen just used 44%. This is since i flashed the new ruu and updated the radio. Maby the radio is ****?!
No one have the same problem? I cant charge my battery the day before, because its now at 55% after a night. That cant be normal. So how could i bricket my battery?

All bugs which you find in cm 10 would be there in miui also along with a few more bugs.
Now, the battery issue has been resolved i think.
use cm9 for now as it is almost complete....miui is a battery strainer, cause it needs resources to function properly, i was using cm10 but i needed the camera si i am using cm9 rc3

Are you sure that this problem occured after rooting? You've not installed any app for boosting battery/anything?
At last, I suggest ask help from someone else on XDA. Either your problem is weird, or you're unable to explain it.....

What's your battery level? I keep mime on the lowest. I don't need those high brightnesses.
I get about 13hours a charge.
Sent from my HTC One V using Tapatalk 2
I set brightness to the lowest value too but battery falls every 2% sometimes every 3% but very fast so my battery held 4-6 hours
Yesterday i calibrated my battery now i must wait , the battery must discharge until it doesnt power on and must charge it without break then i'll tell you how the battery life is now i have 72 % since yesterday at 23 o'clock

Cyanagenmod battery life.

Hi guys,
I've had a less than impressive battery life after I had Cyanagenmod installed on my hox. I know it's the norm for the screen to be the highest consider of the battery. However as you see in the screenshot it's the OS. Is there something I should do?
I can lose half my battery life consumed in an hour of moderate use.
Help would be appreciated, thanks

Consumer* not consider.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Well in general aosp Roms use more juice than sense roms.. have you tried those? Before you do that though, have you checked what drains your battery with an app? You can also use greenify to hibernate apps running in the background
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Thanks for your reply. I'll try greenify, what app do you recommend to check which apps use more juice?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Well I'm not sure if I can give any recommendation, but I use Gsam battery monitor (Something along those lines..)
There are alot of apps on the play store that do the same so just get one that suits your needs
I would advise against any app that says to improve battery life.
They scan for apps then shut them down, if that process didn't finished their task the os starts them up again only to be closed.
They do more harm than good.
I would suggest using a custom kernel and underclock/undervolt.
Lower screen auto brightness amounts.
