This is my first time ever using a ROM with my Kindle Fire, so sorry if I don't understand some of the directions.
The first time I tried flashing Jandycane my Fire was stuck at the loading screen so I restored it and tried again and that time it worked and loaded Jandycane. The first issue I had was in the settings menu where all of it worked except the Goodies Bag and Themes menus where settings would crash instantly. The second issue was trying to load the kindle app and getting an error that said "Unknown error code during application install: "-24" " which was from the play store, and then I found got apk's from Amazon's store and those would not install but not showing that error. I tried searching through each forum and google but found only the same issues on another forum for the kindle install error, but nothing on the settings crash.
Thanks for your help.
Edit: Ignore this my situation is much worse now

Yea, mines actually still crashing. Have only had this up and running a short while.
Hi team,
I am new for the Android system. Just successfully Rooted it last weekend. But found out, I am still not able to sign in Youtube.
Error message: "This app requires Google Play service, which is missing in your device."
Do you have any suggestion to solve this issue?
My firmware is 8.4.3
Thank you in advance.
Rob
Simply search Google; Google play services.apk... Download it and the install. While data from YouTube and open it then sign into YouTube.

Hey all,
Been using the forum resources for a while and try to avoid asking any questions as most have been asked but couldn't find an answer to this issue so here goes.
I have the Hellfire ROM installed on a original Kindle Fire - Works great, very nice ROM. Only issue I have is the Kindle app will not open. It is installed but when I open the app it tries to open but then closes and a message appears saying "Unfortunately, Amazon Kindle has stopped"
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any fix you know of?
Thanks for any replies.
Sounds like the same problem described in the thread "[Q] Kindle App on 4.4 ROM stopped working". The solution listed by CKLASS worked for me. Download Build.prop from Google Play Store and use it to change the ro.product.manufacturer line from Amazon to Samsung.
[Q] ROM-AOSP Stock Jelly Bean 4.3.1_r1 suddenly "Google Play Services has stopped"
I've been running the [ROM-AOSP] Stock Jelly Bean 4.3.1_r1 for the Kindle Fire [10-10 4.3.1_r1 "master"] for a couple of months, and everything has been great, but suddenly, just after the first of the year, I started getting persistent "Unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped" errors, followed by "com.google.process.gapps has stopped" and "com.google.android.gsf.login has stopped".
I have tried disabling Google Play Services, uninstalling its updates, wiping its cache and data, the same for Download Services, and even done a full cache and Dalvik cache wipe, to no avail. As soon as I boot the Fire, I get "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped.", and the cycle repeats every coupld of minutes, or everytime I access an app that requires some functionality thereof.
Again, everything was fine until just after the first of the year. Google has updated Google Play Services at least twice in the past 30 days, and obviously some update broke this functionality. I'd also seen that perhaps it might be related to the ART/Dalvik dichotomy, but this ROM doesn't have the option to switch between the two.
Anyone who can offer any help on this would be much appreciated. I've had a good two year run with my $200 Kindle Fire, and have run Hashcode's ROMs all this time. I've been particularly happy with their AOSP stock ROMs, but I think the 1st gen Kindle Fire is reaching the end of iuts useful lifespan. I can't even use it to access xda-dev forums without the browser crashing. The thing is, I can't afford to upgrade my tablet right now, and I don't want a different ROM with all kinds of extraneous crap loaded on it. I just want the stock Android build. It was a risk buying the Fire when it came out, but the Nexus 7 didn't exist, yet.

I have precisely the same problem. Does anyone have any idea what's up?
Same here.
Really annonying, because it renders the tablet pretty much useless.
ran into the same problem :crying:
Still no help for this one?
Bump. Any input would be appreciated.
I have tried installing previous versions of google play services as well as google play store apk files and none have worked. It was working fine until a few days ago. My kindle is rooted with bin4ry. Any ideas how to get out working again?
