I k ow this is a long shot, but is there any way to get the watchon app from the s4 working on the note 2? I'm sure that there's another sensor in the s4 but I figured its worth a shot to see what answers I get. Or if there is another app that has comparable features, please do let me know.

Check the link in my sig, you can download the watchon app from the S4 port section. It works great on the S3 and should on the note too. The only issue is that there is a remote function (the icon in the top right) that obviously wont work since it requires an ir blaster that only the s4 has. All of the tv guide and lookup features work great though.

First off, you are awesome for putting that post up! I spent the better part of my day downloading almost everything and just tinkering with it on my phone.
Secondly, i couldn't find the link for the WatchOn app... i hit one of the links which took me to a different post which had a link to it which supposedly was uploaded onto a dropbox account, but the file was removed.

Es had been acting up for me since the last update. I switched to root Browser. But either way dint install it. Move it to/system/app set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot

Works great, thanks. I'm running cleanrom 3.3. I just flashed the zip, it worked. It didn't delete my old camera.... I just don't use it. 4.2 camera is better to me

I actually like the older camera better. Settings are easier to manage and ****. I think this apk will work on all roms and on tw or aosp.

That's true, settings are easier to manage. But, regardless of what setting I choose, picture still comes out pretty damn ****ty to me. It's not shabby for a cell phone camera..I'd just expected more this far down the line in smartphones.
Did you notice how smooth going through the gallery is man? photosphere is neat
I actually don't have it at the moment because I didn't care for the layout of both the camera and the Gallery. Also didn't use photosphere much so I deleted it for the moment.

It's not supposed to delete it, it's a totally different app. Just to let you know it won't save to SD card with the 4.2 camera.

Thanks for sharing I installed the keyboard and it keeps crashing on me. I did flash it and am using rooted stock touchwiz. Keyboard keeps force closing did you use the keyboard and are you having this issue?
If I wanted to un install it this keyboard how can you do that without restoring my Os from twrp backup?

after you root with what he posted then go to play store and download goomanager.after that open it and click menu button, then click install open recovery script, wait for it to finish then you can reboot to recovery.

I agree with slicingtaco, find the Exynosabuse.apk from Chainfire here on XDA and install it. You will be able to do this right from your SGN2. After rooting, get goomanager from the play store. open goomanager and in the menu choose 'Install OpenRecoveryScript'. That will download and install TWRP which will overwrite the stock recovery, which, after all of this you can install custom ROMS.
Right after rooting, you may have to get BusyBox Free from the playstore and install busybox.

I just came over from iPhone, but I always jailbroke my phones there. This is much easier to do. It sounds more daunting than it actually is, if you follow the site I provided you will be done in under five minutes with your macbook.
Rooted or not, this phone is incredible. Enjoy!

System apps.. So far I got Paper artist, Camera+Gallery and there is a rom that have a working SNOTE app.
I just pulled SnoteT0.apk, SnoteT0Provider.apk, QuickSnote.apk and PaperArtist.apk from my N7100 and put it in a flashable zip.
The apps will be installed to /system/app/ so if you want to change that you can extract the apks from the downloaded file from this directory: \SNoteFromN7100.zip\XTRAS\system\app\ and install them as normal apps.
Hope it works on the S3. Otherwise I could try to compile it with the S3 framework.
If this works I can pull the other apks to and upload them here.

Yea I have that too but just flashed the bloat and deleted what I didnt want. But I deleted watch on by mistake. I guess il reflash it. I wanted the single apk :/

I have every tv, blu ray player, and even the xbox in my house programmed. And just for fun I also programmed the dish box at work just to watch people freak out when the tv starts controlling itself
Thanks to that app my house is almoat fully automated. Everything from my xbox and home theater to my floor and ceiling fans to my car stereo
