K so when I fist got my gnex I could use it with my Bluetooth speakers from a far range I could be like two rooms away and could still here it fine and it would be smooth. That was stock. Now that I'm rooted and running aokp it is horrible. I can't be more than 4 or 5 feet from the speakers without it cutting in and out and being really unusable.... would this be the rom (aokp M5) or the kernel (latest Franco nightly)?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Could be either, especially if AOKP is using the wrong bcmdhd.cal for the device.

You answered your own question. Go back to stock if you need things to work properly. Custom roms are experimental at best, since they introduce all kinds of problems, including app incompatibility, hardware instability and broken features (like voicemail notifications not working).
Good luck.

Well, it is the right one. I know the Verizon version has been modified to fix choppy BT. It may or may not work for you. You are welcome to try it, but back up your current one.
Okay thanks I will try it when I get home

This build of AOSP was build from source, with a ported toroplus device source code from cm9 and a very lightly modified tuna device source from aosp
Was built using my Rom Kitchen!
As per usual:
Code:
I am not responsible if you brick your phone, for any bugs in the rom,
or if your cat decides to eat your phone because its now full of awesome.
Device tree is here:
TeamKeyblade:android_device_samsung_toroplus
TeamKeyblade:android_device_samsung_tuna (needed to build)
Repo Manifest:
Code:
repo init -u http://github.com/TeamKeyblade/android_manifest.git -b ics
Known Issues:
None
Instructions:
Download rom
Go to recovery
Wipe rom if coming from another rom, u dont have to wipe if ur coming from official nightly
Flash rom
Flash gapps, this u dont have to do every time just when u first come to the rom (the rom backs up gapps)
Boot into rom
???
Profit!
the torrent file only contains the rom, it uses a webseed, code.google.com. u can use this if u ever have to pause to download or such.. u dont have to seed, i dont mind.. but others might like u to

I am not seeing anything you tweaked or took out? I know you built from source, but don't see alot done or cooked in your kitchen performance wise? Also if possible please put ACRVP and MAP bluetooth profile. Alot of cars since 2010 use those profiles for own screen text messages and title display for music.

I have the lgog and im done playing with it. Question is what do you guys want? Ill list a few of my ideas and you guys comment and add ideas.
1. Cm10.1- obvious(it is being worked on so no need to comment)
2. Cm9 im in air on this one. Its ics which we have but we should get jb very very soon.
3. Latest stock pimped out with aroma. If many dont know about aroma roms, its basically a customizable rom that lets you build your own version with tons and tons of options. I will of course be adding many many many addons to the current list.
4. Skinny revisted.
5. Insert idea from you guys.

The thing I want most is CM 10.1. Now, my question is what about LTE? I know it was a massive effort to get wimax working with cm7/9 on the evo/evo 3d. If LTE won't be working then my next choice is a slimmed down stock rom with performance/battery mods, lightly themed. And a nice kernel to go with it

I obviously have no clue about any of this, but shouldn't you be able to take the gpu drivers from the nexus 4 since it's the same hardware? I would think that the camera and lte would be the biggest issues.

The n4 has a 3.4 kernel, we have a 3.0 kernel. So no its not as simple as using them. If we had a 3.4 kernel it could work

I can't wait for your ROMs. I know that my ROMs are small in comparison to the greatness that's going to come out of yours.
I gotta stop by XDA university and start building roms from scratch.

If the source to korean jb is close, then skip cm9 and go for option 3 (pimped out stock rom). Its faster that way right? It should keep people happy till source drops.

It would be nice to get Franco's kernel ported over from the N4. Im sure someone knows what to do.
I already made this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2077713, can you take a look at it, any do anything I cant do pretty much, and maybe help me learn some new stuff for my rom? b-reezy is already giving me alot of help, but is extremely busy right now.
Omg joker!! I won an s3 yesterday and decided to trade it for an optimus g instead. So happy and I did! Only because you are here! You did great with the photon I'm sure you will do fantastic with this. I just hope its not as closed as the photon was.

Hey guys and girls; with given permission from team sextape (Whom I love <3) I bring to you guys a ROM based on the official sprint 4.2.1 OTA update.
The following below were done:
* Deodexed
* Rooted + Busy box
* zipaligned
* Build edited to say by febby, you may edit this via build prop.
I believe that is about it. This is my first ROM ever posted but I assure you that it boots and works!
Known issues:
* Force close when adding widget to lock screen.
*Warning I am not held liable if your device stops working. I've tested this thoroughly with me and a friendly and it works!*
To install:
1. Download ROM zip and modem flash zip (Modem is optional).
2. Boot into recovery.
3. Make a backup of your current ROM
4. Wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset, and system. Just wipe all data except your SDcard/Internal.
5. Flash ROM zip and optionally install modem combo zip.

Thanks for the ROM. This is exactly what I was looking for. Just throwing my 2 cents, I found the official CM 10.1 nightlies to be more smoother and fluid than the Sprint stock 4.2.1. However I cannot attest to battery life due to the fact that I haven't ran both long enough to make ant valid conclusions. Thanks again OP and SexTape.

Description
Enjoy the speed of Vanir but want all of AOKP's great features? Give this a try. I built AOKP on top of Vanir's excellent Linaro system. All credit to those teams, I simply did the leg work to make everything play nice. I will update this frequently but not committing to "nightlies". Please keep the thread positive and leave out the drama. Feel free to ask anything, I simply ask that you take a minute and look for your answer first.
Features
- anything merged in AOKP
- uses Vanir's camera/gallery (keep in mind Gapps normally wipes this out)
- uses Team Baked's Mms.apk
Instructions
- Download rom and preferred Gapps
- Reboot recovery
- Backup
- If coming from another rom - factory reset
- Flash rom and Gapps
- Reboot

I'm having two problems on this rom for some reason. I'm getting lockups in Chrome browser, the second time I did a battery pull because of it I had to re enter my password for Chrome. I also will be around 50+ battery life, reboot and I'm down to 15%. It's there any way I can find out what's causing this?

I don't use Chrome so I can't speak to issues with it. A logcat could help though. The stock kernel is pretty extreme on some settings as well so possibly switch the kernel or tweak the settings. I'll probably be going to Lean Kernel in future releases just for stability but still highly suggest AK kernel.
As far as the weird battery stats, that happens on all roms from time to time. If you reboot again it will possibly go back to normal. It doesn't happen often but it does happen, especially on a lookup or hard reboot.
Bump ....

What do you plan on doing to improve the radios? The only change is the way the system determines bars from the dBm measurement. Roms don't impact signal. And radios can't be altered.
The audio on this Rom is much softer than rootbox or some others I tried. Am I missing something? I set up noxide as usual, but just not the same performance from the sound.
Rom is sick otherwise though.
