Hey,
I just got a LGOG and i'm thinking of installing CM
Anyone on the official CM10.1 RC1 or RC2 ?
Any important bugs or features that don't work?
What about battery life?
download and test it!

I don't have the time to play around with my phone all day, so i'd prefer to know beforehand whether or not I should go to CM or stay on stock
anyway thanks for the helpful reply..
Official CM is at nightly stage.Flash the latest one and that's it.Even if you flash future builds it won't affect your apps.

Sorry for asking this but i installed CM7 and i saw in the thread a link to nightlies.
My only problem is i dunno what a nightly is and i'm searching for the past 20 min to find a definition and nothing.
So can someone please tell me what it is?
Thanks in advance.
It's a build of the rom that comes out every night
DROID X running liberty GB V.8
And they are unstable, or can be.
Thanks guys for replying.

you can find a link to 'github' on the original cm7 threads first post, there. and yeah, nightlies can be unstable, but can be more stable than the rc, too! for example, the nightly 110808 is much better than the rc1 in every aspect i think...

Can I install Nightly on RC1 version without wipe anything ? It means like a update from RC0 to RC1 .

You must wipe cache and dalvik before (and I suggest after too) installing nightly zip for reduce possible bugs, but not wipe data, so you can keep your settings and data.
Thanks, Nightly work way better than RC1. I've installed cm7-110814-0202-NIGHTLY-Jordan
thank you guys, it is puzzled me too, but now it is clear. thx.
im using miui,it built on android 2.3.5
Okay so I know what is CM9 is but what is the difference between CM9 and a CM9 nightly?
I've looked it up but couldn't really find anything about it.
A nightly is a rom that is build daily. The regular CM9 is build once an Update from google comes. Nightlys are sometiems unstable and mostly for advanced users and developers. If you don't know very much about android developing and flashing just go with the normal CM9 rom

Yeah, what he said....good advice.
I have tried CM7 but never the nightly versions. If you have to have to depend on your phone and don't want to deal with "possible" issues, just stick to the regular rom and skip the nightly versions. The regular versions get updated anyway as the bugs get worked out of the nightly versions.
Hi Guys,
I have found Cyanogenmod to be the most stable rom for my Desire HD. Which Cyanogenmod rom have you found to be the most stable/user friendly (7.1, 7.2, unofficial cm10 nightlies etc)???
7.2 is the most stable if that is what you're after. Although it's Gingerbread. CM10 is good enough for use as a daily driver with slight bugs. Personally I'd choose Jellybean over Gingerbread anyday.. but if you're really paranoid about stability.. go for 7.2

With regards Jellybean, would you recommend Cyanogenmod or a rom from another dev, if so which Jellybean?

JellyTime by randomblame is the best Jellybean ROM around at the moment to be used as a daily driver. Thanks to the dev its mostly always in sync with CM10 changes with regular updates and offers extra features from aokp and such. Stability is also good.

I'm using JellyTime as my Daily Driver since Release 9.1, had some of the dicussed Issues on the development Thread, (like randomly rebooting, and bad Music Quality on Earphones, but if you follow the Development, it's nothing that can't be fixed with a little effort;
Latest Release (R24) is running smooth and without any issues for me, after full wipe an a clean Install.
Some People reporting battery drain Issues, but this seems to be device-dependent, so you have a good chance that this Problem will not come up for your DHD.
Give it a try, and i suppose you will never go back to GB...

Hello to everyone. I'm on XZX2, but i think that it is very slow, not laggy, but slow. I tried both of cm 9 and cm10, but never cm 10.1
My questions are:
1) What bugs are in CM10 and what bugs are in CM10.1? (Like HDMI, 1080p video recording, FM Radio..)
2) I can use nova kernel 1.6 with cm10, but Can I use its with CM 10.1?
3) I love cm10.1's camera app, what rom (FXP, Cyano, Opensemc...) do you suggest to me?
Thank you all.
Stefano [ITA]
ps: i know that in the end of March/April will roll out Jelly bean, but i want to try 4.2.2 also..
Go and try, make a backup before... U got nothing to lose.. I am on cm10.1 open semc 04.. I think it is the best rom...

1)FXP's CM10 have no bug in it's latest stable ROM ,OpenSEMC's CM10.1 have some problem with FM Radio.(but it doesn't matter
2)You can't use nova kernel on CM10.1
3)All 4.2 ROM's camera are the same(Slim, CM10.1 ,PAC).
If you want a ROM that very stable, try FXP's CM10
If you want a ROM that high customation, try PAC (19 based on CM10(4.1.x) ,20 or 21 based on CM10.1(4.2.x)
If you want a ROM that daily use, try Slim Rom or OpenSEMC's CM10.1
sorry for my poor english :<
The main problem on cm 10.1 is HDMI and Fm radio is Not working perfectly. Most of the cm 10.1 rom is not battery user friendly. But as I think and as I have got battery is good on cm 10.Both of the rom are not yet stable. Many times rebooting by itself.Networking problem on both cm10 and cm10.1

Does anyone of you have issue with the mobile data network? I can't seem to get it working, but everything else looks/works quite nice on latest OpenSEMC.

Does anyone knows if anyone of those ROMS has camera support? I mean fullHD 1080p video and 12mp photos? And if there is support for 3.4 kernel ?
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
In general, the main bugs are related to network, sometimes it disconnects itself and have to disable and reenable data traffic. Moreover, 1080p and FM Radio is not working in most of cases, but in general, CM10-10.1 ROMs are very stable.
Got a 64GB version, been waiting for an official CM ROM but I can't stand the factory ROM anymore and they are taking forever to update.
What do you recommend for a better than custom but still more stable than CM nightly experience?
Thanks

If its stability you want I would recommend http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/development/rom-prism2013266073-barebone-v1-t3168872
You should however try http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/development/official-blisspop-4-0-1-team-bliss-t3207311
I have 32gb ZF2 but I had some issues with Blisspop that other people did not.
Blisspop is great if you dont have any problems. The only ROM where you can control what happens to the screen when you connect and disconnect your charging cable.
Good luck
