[Q] Emoji on stock Samsung S4 keyboard.. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hey guys,
this is my first post on this site.
You guys are awesome btw.
I've been searching around for a while for a way of keeping the stock S4 keyboard and adding emojis.
I hate alternative apps because I love air view.
Any suggestions?

Have you ever tried Swift keyboard?
I know you said that you want to the keep the stock keyboard, but once you try this, I think you'll end up liking it more. The text correction on it is awesome and they have the emoji's that you're looking for.

Lol, I had a long day!
Let me try this again...have you tried Handcent for SMS? They have an Emoji plug in you can use.

[Rom] Geo411m Stock Jellybean 4.1.1 with 360 home screen

This is 100% stock, rooted Jelly Bean I've made for myself and thought I would share. Screenshots below are what the default home screen look like.
Contains latest su, busybox, nano and bash binaries.
360 Degree Stock Launcher
360 Stock Lockscreen
Battery %
Super Power Menu by djmcnz
New Default Live Sense Wallpaper by evilisto
Phase Beam Classic Live Wallpaper by evilisto
New Default Home screen Layout
Tweaks to Framework to speed up transitions a bit and make things a bit more smooth.
Download Link
Here's just the Rotating Homescreen and Lockscreen v1 (old) for those that don't want everything else.
Rotating Homescreen and Lockscreen v2 (fixes a few issues and adds rotation lock by lichti1901 to notification area)
Reserve
That looks very nice! What are your plans moving forward with the ROM? Like theme's and other customizations. I might give it a shot one of these days!
Awesome!!! Thanks a lot bro

I have a question, if this is a stock rom, why didnt you simply made a theme for stock rom ? This would save a lot of people time for download and you for file managing.
Is there anyway to just get the rotating launcher and lockscreen?

I did but who cares right? Couldn't even take the time to answer a couple simple questions. I moved back to my preferred ROM anyhow. Rotating lockscreen does nothing for me. Like ZeroXtreme said, just make a mod of the 360 stuff and don't bother with the ROM there's already enough stock ROMS.

My apologies if I missed your question. No need to be rude about it.

Oh I'm rude? Hahahahahaha! No really, MY apologies, it was only the 3rd post, either your blind or intentionally not answering. And you still didn't answer it. I posted it 11pm yesterday. You didn't miss it, you ignored it. No matter, take my advice and save yourself the hassle. It's not being rude, it's being stone faced blunt and honest. Wouldn't want to distract you from attending to your posts.

Problem?
If there is take it to PMs or take it to my PM
Otherwise cut the crap.
Respect is a forum rule. Answering questions is not.
If you don't get an answer the FIRST time you ask maybe you should make a thread in Q&A

Emojis on Jellybean Touchwiz Roms?

Does anyone know how to set up emojis or if it's possible on any of the jellybean Touchwiz Roms?

Try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966869
or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728308
I've used the second method on ICS successfully, can't speak for JB. Be sure to backup your stock app by adding .bak to the end of the name and set permissions for the new app

i use that one personally, and go SMS is great for customization. give it a shot? :silly:

[Q] paranoid dpi on other roms

I really like the way the text is for paranoid. The only issue I have with the rom is it is 4.1.2. I have been looking for paranoid 3+ that works with GS3 but cannot find it. Is there another rom that is pretty good that could do the dpi changes and look? I really like that the text is small but not too small that I cannot read the text. I do not have to zoom in. Sorry if this sounds confusing.

The app called ROM Toolbox lets you change DPI on any rooted ROM. Not sure about un-rooted.
That app has a ton of other cool features also, such as boot animation & text manipulation, etc.

I would suggest setting up XPosed (per app dpi framework) on whatever rom you want

Help with Emojis PLEASE!!!

I'm sorry if this has been posted before...But
I'm using the Sprint Galaxy SIII and for 2 days I've been searching and trying different keyboards looking for one comparable to the keyboard in cm 10.1. The emojis worked great on that. Since switching back to stock rooted touchwiz I haven't found anything that works as well. I've tried stock Android keyboard because that's what's everyone is saying works, but when I go to settings to add dictionary, there is no dictionary option for me to use to try to add emojis. I know someone will probably say browse the threads but I've done that for 2 days and haven't had any luck so if someone can just point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it. If you've used cm 10.1 that keyboard with those emojis would be perfect.
Thanks in advance!!

That Worked!!! Thanks
I went to that thread but didn't see any separate emoji keyboard, only the AOSP MMS apps that have the keyboards. I really don't want to replace the stock MMS app, i'm fine with it, but interested in the keyboard with emoji. I'm running the 4.2 keyboard already.

Yeah, I misunderstood the question, most of the ones in the market don't receive emoji at all. I wish Swype would add it, their keyboard is pretty good, now out of beta. The MMS app gives you the emoji send/receive experience and it's super customizable.

For me, didnt care about having to change the msg'ing app. The stock one was cool but it wasn't a deal breaker to have to change it. I kinda like the other one better anyway!

Swype app & data

I just flashed Infamous S4 onto my phone, and I found out that Swype isn't on it. I tried using the AOSP keyboard (and the "Google Keyboard" from the market) but it's not really the same to me lol So I was wondering if anyone has the stock Swype app and data that would be associated with it if I need it

I do apologize, I have been out of the android scene for a couple months so I thought that Swype was still a side-loaded beta. I will have to do just that lol
