forgot lock code and CWM doesnt work, what 2 do !!

hello everyone
so i have my friend`s SGN2
i have rooted it properly
but now he forgot the lock code
i tried to make a factory reset
but once i try to enter the recoverymod the screen go off
after the samsung logo the screen become like an old tv screen
with horizontal columns jumping up and down
then it become black
is there any other way to make a factory reset
please help

Just download a stock rom, flash it through odin on to your device after if you enter download mod which is by holding volume up+power+home key while the phone is off. Im sure you know this already but I cant think of any other way since recovery mode is out of the question.

You have to flash twrp 2.3.3.2
The screen goes like that cause of the new bootloader.

1.read toolbox on my signature, you will find guide how to unlock screen lock with Web version of play store. You can skip factory reset.
Or
2.read first line on my signature and read post #6
Download latest recovery and flash using odin, then you can reboot to recovery to factory reset.

do u think i can flash just a stock bootloader instead of flashing a whole stock rom
so will this solve it !?
i will try the recovery that u recommended
but just in case it didnt work
will a stock botloader work for me

You have a new STOCK bootloader which only works with twrp 2.3.3.2.
I never said you have to reflash the rom.

i have checked just now, and appl no longer available on play store, another similiar there but not compatible with note2
so only option available is reflash stock recovery
Download and flash using PC Odin for PDA tab, This won't raise counter.

Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update via Kies!!!???

My phone is unrooted (and with the original ROM).
I bought Note 2 on 29-1-13
4 days ago, i got ota mb2 update.. and i installed it.
and when i install kies on my pc.
After installing Keys I get the message:
"Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update via Kies"
* Current firmware version: PDA:MB2 / PHONE LK6 / CSC;MA1 (XXX)
If I select Tools->"Firmware Upgrade and Initialization", I get the message:
`GT-N7100' does not support initializing.
Please help... i want to back up my firmware..

Yeah that should also do but this can happens with odin too, better just flash csc as said on other thread

Triangle away application is same for all device
Just use latest (I think 2.40 is latest)

now want to know, what method to root is safe for SDS,
3 method and i m confused

go with method 2 then after step 2 just reflash stock recovery from post #6 (if you no need to have CWM)
then reset counter with triangle away

in method 2, i tried it, but remains on stock recovery, also tried to untick "auto reboot" but remain same Problem,
no recovery.. how to install recovery?

after untick auto reboot, you tried to long press power button after flashing ?
does your flashing on odin was successful?

after flaching recovery, i press and hold the power button and after that battery charging icon icon appearring...

then it should boot to CWM, if it asking to continu with CWM select this

installed cf auto root, but after i flash recovery, again battery icon appears and and restart normal..

No problem that will be sort out,first check you have superSu in appl drawer ?

i have now CVM touch version "Method 2" and also SuperSu is available.

actually sir, i m going to flash Custom Rom so, thats why i was install CWM,
actually my main purpose to flash custom rom, to feel much more fluid ui..

Ok ok then just keep cwm and flash desired custom rom.
I advised to make nandroid backup, you having mount error may be due to issue with sds card, copy sd card sd content to PC and then format it, then it should work.
Make nandroid on ext sd card, to preserve it if you need to wipe anytime.

Don't forget to make efs backup and move copy of it to safe on pc.

cant installing any rom

have u tried download mode and use odin to flash stock rom? then u can root again and problem should be gone...

I know odin is better than cmw but some rom's like omega it coms on zip only what can i do??

hi ALI would suggest you to flash TWRP recovery and using this you can flash the zip files easily.

I'm a Galaxy Grand Duos I9082 (Rooted) user and I read that there is a new update for my phone.
But I tried checking it via settings and via KIES but theres no update notification.
Here is the version settings of my phone:
Model: GT-I9082
4.1.2 Stock (Rooted)
AP:I9082XXAMC7
CP: I9082XXAMC4
CSC: I9082JVAMC1
I know there are manual update options but I'm not shure what's the Stock ROM 4.2.2 to flash my phone, or from this Thead
[I9082/I9082L][ROMS][STOCK][FULL][ROOTED][DEODEXED][ZIPALINED]Full samsung roms
which could be my best selections, because as far as i know firmware is for the Middle East and i'm gonna use it on the America Continent (USA, México, Peru, Canada)

I installed jellybean 4.2.2 on my grand and then used chotu touch recovery.tar.md5 on it.
and now as i try to boot into recovery the device just restarts. and i am not even able to gain root rights for it anymore after installing 4.2.2.
Pls help me with this.

what steps do u follow while rooting..elaborate..coz chotu222 recovery works very fine..

steps followed
I rooted my device on 4.1.2 using chotu recovery and now I updated the device using kies
Steps followed to root.
1 odinv3.04 and connected phone in downloading mode
2 uploaded file .tar.md5 on pda with auto reboot and f: rest time checked
Started just fine but when tried to boot in cwm recovery phone just restarts every time.
3 tried same unchecking the auto reboot option and took out the battery as read on some xda post. But still didn't work out for me.....

From galaxy grand 4.2.2 firmware..

I tried factory reset as well.
still no result.

I had many problems upgrading the stock 4.1.2 to the k2wl pre rooted 4.2.2 one, boot loops, no recovery mod and so on. a remark I found on one of the threads solved it, you need to install a stock untouched 4.2.2 via ODIN before upgrading to a 4.2.2 mod, this solved my issues.

Dude u wrote tht whn it ws on 4.1.2 u rooted it n thn u hav updated it via kies..so it bcame 4.2.2 right.? If so thn u hav actuly updated d firmware....recovery is gon..flash d recovery .tar.md5 file again n thn..
To go in cwm recovery..press power+home+volume up..then it will boot..once u see galaxy grand i9082 written jus leave the power button...let d home n volume key b pressd

Untick the autoreboot option when flashing cwm through odin.
After pass, remove battery and restart into cwm recovery by pressing vol. up + home + power button.

First switch off ur phone..then press volume up button,home button and power button together untill samsung logo apper..after that u will in recovery mode..then u see wipe data..click on it ..then click on factory reset..

I'd try those with Indian Latest & Russian 4.2.2 and Latin 4.1.2 I followed all the steps. Clear data/factory reset, Cache partition, Dalvik cache. Flashed the ROM. I did it twice. Still got stuck at boot loop.
Please help !

RR ROM is pre rooted ...so no need to root again...
Secondly if u can't go to recovery then go to developers options and tick advanced reboot....
If u r facing issues then do a clean install....

But I used root checker to check and it says I don't have root
