[Q] New E971 user needs to debloat - LG Optimus G (International)

Hello all,
I have just bought a new E971 with Rogers (on the 20d software version)and unfortunately it has come with an obscene amount of bloatware. I have rooted the phone and used Titanium Backup but it cannot locate the apks of the Rogers bloat apps. I have searched some threads that suggested manually removing the apks using a file manager is unsafe. Do y'all have any solutions as to how I can debloat? Thanks much.

How to remove Rogers bloatware?

Hi guy,
Got my Rogers Galaxy S3 a couple days ago and loving it. The only thing that annoys me is the bloatware it comes with, which I don't need. I have googled this and came across people just saying to root the phone and install Titanium Backup to remove the bloatware. Has anyone tried to remove the Rogers bloatware and was successful?
I also know you can use root uninstall to remove bloatware. Is it safe to remove the Rogers applications?
I do not have a S3, but on all my other samsung devices(nexus s, gnex, captivate) they can remove any software when rooted.
I would second the recommendation to root and use Titanium Backup to remove the bloatware. I also am with Rogers and deleted most of the Rogers bloatware, minus the My Account. A stock rooted rom with a few tweaks is the way to go for me lol. But, there are many other roms to choose from if you are so inclined. Also remember to always make a Nandroid backup before doing anything! ha ha ha!! It has saved me a few times!
yes that is one of the most popular ways to do it, through rooting then titanium back up. I've done it and now I am also running CM 10.
Ya know where you go to uninstall a program? well you can freeze/disable them No need for root if you dont want to.
You could also install a custom ROM, but you would lose the TouchWiz features.
There's this mod that I use called Ashaman where basically you use your custom recovery to remove not only carrier bloatware but system apps that you might not need as well. (svoice, swhatever, live wallpapers). But of course you have to be rooted but it's still perfectly safe. The developer of the mod is implementing a restore option of bloatware in the near future as well. You should check that out.

After searching the forums for this I think I am safe to ask for a list of what can be deleted and removed vs what cannot. I have my phone rooted, I have installed Titanium, no-bloat and Rom Tool Box but there are some processes and oddly named features that I have no idea what they do.
I know that there is an installer that has been installing everything back every time I reset.
Does anyone have a list of Rogers and Samsung bloatware that is safe to remove with the above software.
Cheers

Safe to remove apps/files

Does anyone have a list or know of what files are safe to remove (Including LG and TMO apps)? Trying to debloat the stock tmobile rom.

Questions abour rooting and debloating

Hi guys, i recently bought a g3 and i have to say that it's a pretty stunning smartphone. However I hate the stock rom as i think that its heavy even for this phone. So (until the developers find a way to unlock the bootloader and we can flash custom roms) i want to root and debloat using the titanium backup app. But i have a few questions and i hope that someone will be kind enough to clarify some things for me.
1) What is the best method for root, purpledrake, stump or ioroot? I have updated to the latest ota v10h-eur-xx.
2) Is there a root counter? Will the root increase the counter and void the warranty?
3) After i successfully root my phone what option do i use in titanium backup, freeze or uninstall? And for which apps?
4) Can someone who has debloated his g3 post a screenshot of the running apps screen so i can see how much ram is being used and how much ram is free? I have around 450-500mb free ram in my stock phone, which i think its a small amount.
Thanks in advance

1. I believe purpledrake works for all G3s, it's always on the top of the android development section for the G3, It's very easy to use and worked for me no problems on my D852.
2. Nope. Aslong as you flash back to stock there will be 0 signs you had rooted.
3. You can safely use the uninstall, unless you want/need to use that app later then you just freeze it and unfreeze when you use it. If you google LG G3 bloatware you can find some pretty good lists of apps you can remove, use caution doing so.
4. My phone is shut off right now so i can't snag a pic this very minute, mabye in an hour if you really want it, but for now when i say i'm running barebones i'm talkin only 3 running processes because my phone is extremely debloated & degoogled but my phone uses around 870mb used & 1.9gb available.
EDIT: Here, check post #7 it's a very informative but unfinshed bloatware list.

which apps can be safely frozen or deleted on stock Oreo?

I have an LG 710ulm that I unlocked the bootloader and rooted using loonycgb2's guide (v350 bootloader). My question is does anyone know which apps, including the LG apps, can I freeze (with titanium pro) or delete safely to get better performance outta this phone with?
