HI, I recently had my sprint galaxy s3 flashed to metro pcs by a local phone dealer. The flash was great, I have 3g internet, sms, etc. I was also able to send and receive multi media messages but my lil brother accidentally deleted to the app that allowed me to send multi media messages. The name of the app is AndroidMessaging.apk, and now that I tried to re-install it, I get an error message saying, " Failed to validate phone, could not validate this phone's installation. Please bring the phone back to the dealer you had it flashed", and I am trying to see if there's is another way of fixing the problem without having to go to the dealer again. I also tried to fix the problem by downloading Go Sms Pro and i filled APN configuration manually but I still cant seem to send and receive mms. Please help me, Thank you. Would greatly appreciate the help.

Hi,
I have problems with sending mms. Don't get any errors, or anything. The process just stops and the message get status "pending".
Have called my vendor, but they couldn't help. The just said that this phone is so new that they don't know how to change the settings.
I'm using Telenor, Norway.
Thanx in advanced,
Joachim.
Edit: I can also mention that I can receive mms.
I have a rooted Evo running Cyanogen 7. I also have Rom Manager installed. I would like to use The stock sprint VVM. I put the voicemail.zip that I obtained from one of the forums onto my sd card and attempted to flash in recovery and i got an error message stating that it aborted. So then I tried to flash via Rom Manager and I dont have the voicemail icon on my phone. Can someone help me please. I hope I posted this in the correct forum. Thanks
Voicemail.zip? Are you trying to flash it from recovery? Because what you need is the vvm.apk
I would post it for you but I'm not home....but I am sure you can find it via search....let me know if you need more help....
Thank you I will look for that file and get back with you. I really appreciate the response.
ok I got the VVM installed on my phone now. The problem I have now is that it is saying that I have a voicemail waiting but it cant be downloaded. Also I am getting that stupid 9016 text message as well.
The vm that can't be downloaded can be retrieved by dialing 1 from your dialer....you also want to go into call settings and change your vm # from *86 to your actual number....
As far as 9016, that is built into aosp ....you could blacklist that number with handcent, if you use it, however, I have noticed that handcent sometimes takes it upon itself to blacklist numbers you didn't choose.....so you may want to go into privacy and tap on show blacklist if you notice you aren't getting messages on occasion
Hi everyone,
I am getting this message at random "The mobile network will be unavailable until you restart with a valid SIM card inserted". I've searched online for a possible solution / cause of the issue and I did not find a definitive answer.
Is there a possibility that this message pops up when and if someone that cloned my sim card is using it? I am suspecting that reason because someone is accessing my phone (sms, email, etc) and I already eliminated the possibility of having a spyware program installed on my phone (i did a factory restore and i also installed a custom rom, someone still has access to my text messages.
thanks in advance, if anyone can confirm or deny if that's the cause of my error message it will be greatly appreciated.
Never heard of it. But just go to T-Mobile and they will replace it for free.

I have the same problem. Did you factory reset through the settings menu or through recovery? When you did, did it erase all your apps, folders, pictures and so on? Thanks
Unable To Receive Sms
Having same problem with my E 975 running HK Stock rom. I am able to send sms but unable to receive. It almost always happens when my phone turns off after battery dies out. When i turn my phone back on, sms reception is not working. Often takes me many restarts until reception starts again. Any solution please ?
I have a xperia z1 compact with some sms problems..
Everytime I recieve a sms the sms app freeze and stops responding.. Getting message asking if I want to close app.
Have tried different options to fix this:
First I installed several other sms-apps.. Didnt help.
Then I restored it to factory. Didnt help.
Then I tried to unlock bootloader, flashed it with Z1c_DooMLoRD_AdvstkKernel_FW-114_v01 and rooted it. Didnt help..
I dont know what is causing this error.
Anybody that can help me?
The phone is almost useless if I cant use sms..
