So I've had this problem for awhile now with the wifi disconnecting itself during standby. The other day I decided to start fresh and went did a complete wipe and reflashed CM (10.1 RC).
The problem did not present itself during the 1st or 2nd day, however yesterday I noticed the wifi signal bar went grey for a second and reconnected. So I checked my radio version and noticed it was a few months behind, downloaded the latest and flashed it. Problem didn't show up until the next day where the wifi signal briefly turned grey and reconnected.
Wifi settings are set to always stay on when screen is off and I've tried almost every combo of settings in the wifi menu to stop it. This is fairly annoying since when I have wifi turned on I do not get texts since I use GV. Yes, I can turn off wifi and use my phone's internet, but I have bad signal here and the speeds are extremely slow.
I'm not sure what the problem could be, I always thought it was a bad flash the first time I did it and it was a bug. I thought wiping everything and flashing an RC would fix the problems.
Any thoughts on what could be causing it? I'm on stock CM with no custom kernels.

So after quite a while debugging wake lock issues I finally figured out what was causing my phone not to sleep. Wifi!
I'm on MIUI with Savaged Zen 0.0.5 (happens across kernels) latest radio/wifi/wimax downgraded to 1.77 PRI/NV. Running MIUI, so wifi sleep policy is set to never to prevent random reboots.
It's very easy for me to duplicate this, when I have 3G on my screen on vs running time are nearly equal. If I turn off the display and leave wifi on my running time will be 300% of my screen on. The only "solution" i've come up with is to turn wifi off on display off with Tasker, but I thought wifi should be a more effecient radio than 3G, generally i've heard you get better battery life while on wifi....
The only thing that I can think that might have caused this is I imported my Wireless AP stored settings from a sense rom when moving to MIUI using Ti Backup. I'm at a loss on how to fix this though -- is there some sort of cache or something I can clear to get wifi back working correctly?

No problems here with 0.0.5
My phone sleeps fine on both miui and salvage gb. Not sure why its giving your problems... i would have to guess its an app or something you have installed. Ive had two different miui installs and they both were 100% fine.
I'm not blaming the kernel or MIUI, I just have no clue how to debug this. I have a very minimal app set up now, i've uninstalled nearly everything...I would think if it was a rogue app it would happen over 3G as well as wifi...that's why I think it's something wit the wifi service itself, I just don't have any idea how to clear the wifi stuff off there's no data cache or anything.
I sometimes have issues with receiving data signals on my G2. Sometimes my phone won't ring until the last few seconds resulting in me missing a call, or wont ring at all. I use google voice which requires a data connection in adition to cell tower connection. I also have to reset my phone maybe once every week or so because my data connection won't work at all. This usually happens when I disable wifi and then enable tethering. Would flashing a radio help? I'm using CM7 Nightlies.

Flashing an updated radio could help. Just make sure you get the correct one and know how to flash it!
I'm on nightly 100 and have no issues. But I'm also on the latest radio as well. Just remember, nightlys are still considered experimental
I think i have the latest radio from reading the radio threads. 26.03.02.26., but even after flashing the latest Nightly the same issue occoured where I'll receive a call at the last ring and not have enough time to answer it. Also my battery life is pretty terrible. I left my phone on overnight starting at 100% and when I awoke it was down to 51, 1/3 cell standby, 1/3 phone idle, and 1/3 bluetooth (but my headset is off). I am thinking of flashing pershoots kernel and see how well it works.

That's really odd. I have Radio 26.08.04.30 Which I believe is the latest. The kernel could have something to do with it as well. I'm running Pershoot's latest kernel found at Droid Basement. Let me know what happens after you flash the latest kernel and radio!
As soon as I turn WiFi on, my phone will reboot. Last night I was able to be on WiFi for about 30 mins until the issue started occurring, then after that it wouldn't last more than a few seconds before rebooting.
I am running Cyanogen 7.0.3. Any suggestions would be great.
Edit: Might this have something to do w/ WiFi Calling? Turned it off within the app and am not having issues at the moment.

I have the same question basically. I keep wifi on all the time at home. About 2 weeks ago my phone started rebooting randomly/intermittently. Would be OK for 5 hours, then reset. 1 hour later, reset again. Good for 8 hours, then reboot 3 times in 30 minutes.
- I am not overclocked
- Tried brand new SD
- Reflashed latest radio
- no new apps
If I turn wifi off at home, it seems to be ok.
some devices do have wifi issues regarding cm. there is supposedly a fix available in the development section. ive never had issues with wifi on cm, so i dont know much about the fix
Hey guys I have searched and searched for a remedy for my problem, first off here is what I am running on my i9250:
ROM: Beanstalk 1.190
Kernel: KUBO-AK r46
Baseband: I9250UGLL1
Now the problem is this, all data (wifi and cell data) randomly disconnects when my battery is anywhere lower than 50% and gets increasingly annoying the lower it gets. I do not have any powersaving features enabled and yes I have changed the advanced settings in Wifi (Keep wifi on during sleep: checked to Always, Avoid poor connections: Unchecked, wifi freq band: 2.4ghz only, wifi optimization: unchecked; i guess that is a powersaving feature as well)
Still the problem persists. The other problem is, it happens to my cell data as well, when I wake the phone up (when it is under 50% or so) I see that only then the cell data starts to reconnect, and then I get all my whatsapp messages and emails all at once. (same goes with the wifi) Keep in mind though, when I have the phone plugged in and charging the wfi or cell data are active when the screen is switched off. The problem only occurs when the battery is below 50%.
Is there anything I can do about this, it gets really annoying because I have to wake the phone up and keep the screen on, in order to get messages. I know there is a widget that keeps the wifi active regardless of the battery level, but what about the phone data when I am out and about. I need to stay connected especially with emails and whatsapp because that is how clients stay in contact with me and it sucks when they send messages and I get nothing and they have to wait for me to check or wake up my phone for the data connection to re-establish whether it be on wifi or data.
Anyone knows how to fix this problem?
No one?
Have you tried changing your kernel? Sometime kernels can have weird affects on your device.
İ think this is one of kernel problems. Battery section is controlling by kernel. Find a kernel and use smartassv2 with sio.
Yes, I swapped around a few kernels and same effect. I really am at a loss.

it happens to me as well, not sure about the 50%, but when I am at home with 3G and wifi on very often if i turn on the phone the signal bars are grey and not blue and it seems that connectionwas lost during sleep and is being turned on again
btw, I am on stock 4.2.2
Try to format /system. And reflash. İf its not work, flash stock rom and flash custom rom. İm not sure if it will work.
Believe me, I have tried every wipe and every rom/kernel combo that is humanly possible
Then problem is hardware thats what I thought. Unfortunately. Technical support helps.
I have fulmics 5.3 , kernel 3.4.0., D855 version.
Day before yesterday I started losing signal for no apparent reason. This never happened before. I can't make a call without dropping signal (there is little reloading icon on the bars). One more thing I noticed is that when an app is opened (standard messaging app , fb messenger app ) app somewhat flickers when signal problem happens. Like it loses all the things inside the app frame like texts, contacts in fb messenger etc. Sometimes signal "holds" for two minutes and sometimes it doesn't last for 20 seconds.
So far I tried turning airplane mode on and off, restarting , resetting the sim card, I tested the phone with another sim card and tested my sim card in another phone (it's good). Also I tried changing from lte , gsm/wcdma , gsm only but with no luck.
Can someone help me because this is now a big problem. Should I try to do the fresh ROM install? I didn't installed or changed anything in last few days...
Update the ROM to the latest build and test it again, actually Fulmics is running v6.9.
I will do that today. The weird part is that I had version 5.3 for like maybe 6 months and this just started happening now.
Same here.
It started doing that two days ago (2017-02-28)
Rom 5.3 build MRA58K/Kernel 3.4.0-perf-gdcg0dd0/Security patch 2016-03-01
It seems it's doing that only when the battery is under 50% tho'... or when the phone gets hot / which it does when it starts loosing signal.

I clean installed fulmics 6.9 and it seems good now. Try it , maybe it will help.
It's been around 30 hours since flash and it didn't happen yet.
