Hello people over at XDA, I have recently purchased an HTC One VX (Used) and noticed that there is a slight problem with the GPU (Adreno 305).
The phone has problems scaling or just rendering of some objects like images, menus, and even some polygons. It is quite livable most of the time but it bugs e when apps like Chrome start spazzing out by flickering random surface polygons. The phone runs at a amazing pace, mostly when overclocked, but the experience is a bit thrown off for me.
Is there anything that I can virtually or physically do to fix this? (Please note: There is no warranty on this product.)
(Screenshots should be below current line)

Haven't seen that before on this model. Does it happen without the overclock? I'm asking cause your mentioned it.

Yes it has the same problem when not overclocked, in fact it had the problem when I bought it and before it was rooted.
I just removed the locked bootloader and rooted it to make it much faster and to try to find some tweaks to fix this.

Hello devs and others who can help about this. My sister has Lumia 900 and some issues like on picture below:

As you can see, there are some kind of marks on display left from icons. I don't know how this happened, but if anyone has any clue what's happening, I would appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.

dial ##634# there is a test for the screen amongst other things,
Try resetting the phone, This will mean wiping all user data, If it still happens then screen is knackered, Amoled screens can suffer from light bleed mainly from age where the image remains etc.
It looks like it's screen error. She will probably sell it and buy something else. Thank you anyway.
Cheers!

If you're not afraid, you can buy a screen on ebay for cheap and try replace it...
I was thinking about that option, but I will first try to sell it and buy her a new phone

It could be keys or change something conductive in your pocket which is activating the screen.

It's probably the lock screen that you pull down to accept call and pull up to decline
used to happen to me all the time
i switched to a rom with a 3.0 lockscreen like the alex-v 1.8

Use an app called Proximity Sensor. You can find the link for it in the same ROM thread.

Hi.
I've been trying to get my HTC One X repaired, but got an email from the workshop saying they wouldn't repair it because they think that I have opened the phone up. They cite the following image:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
That the foil is crumpled is supposed to mean that the phone has been taken apart. I know for a fact that I have never opened up the phone, so I'm wondering if anyone here knows if it is possible for this to happen without the phone having been opened?
Any replies would be much appreciated!
Well is it brand new or second hand?

It was bought new around 1.5 years ago.
Maybe the heat the device sometimew makes expanded the foil. Use thqt as argument. If they don't accept it id contact HTC

I know , I feel so blessed !
Somebody else posted this a while ago. I think its for NFC, as the NFC sensor is in that general area.
This is NFC logo
Or.... It's a fake htc m8?
Yea its probably nfc.
I can assure you it's not fake ?
M8y
If you look at the model number closes at the bottom of the phone, it most would be M8y.
The 2.5 Ghz variant.
I have this logo on my M8x too
Its definitely where the NFC chip is located so would make sense.
