No, the usb/charger input is on the top side...
I know that but maby there is some docking station where we can put our phone in lendscape and stick usb cable in dock and phone for charging and syncing...
I don't know any but maby you look for something like that for the galaxy s (same input). Or search for a wireless dock (bluetooth)...

hi everyone,
i'm looking for a media docking station. i know there are quite a few that allow charging and data sync ( excluding the official samsung one - shame on you samsung! ), but i'd like one dock that is capable of HDMI, audio and usb out. even if one has to toggle beween usb and hdmi, i don't see why it shouldn't be possible and we really need a dock like it! if you've seen or heard anything about something like it please share your info. i'm almost tempted to make one myself, but combined all the parts ( mhl, some docking base, usb adaptor, paint etc ) are pretty expensive, so i'd rather have an official one.

I too was trying to find this out. I can see no proof of a Audio Output on this dock. Don’t mean it doesn’t, but they are not advertising that it does, nor are there any pictures of it that I found. The Samsung OEM Infuse dock, that works perfect on our phones has an audio out that works even on our Epic Touch, and it is ½ the price as this one

the audio out doesn't work.... If you read his thread, that is the only thing he doesn't like about that dock.

I assume you are referring to my thread? It actually does work As it was pointed out to me in "my" review of the infuse dock thread, you just have to go in to the setting > dock settings > Check Use External Speakers...

Ordered mine as well! Can't wait. Finally a dock that allows the camera to be used. I think they were thinking of iOnRoad and video recording while driving.

Just thought of another point. If you really think that the audio out from the official Epic Touch is going to be different from the Infuse dock, then this must be your first Samsung phone...

Agreed. $17 is a better price for the Infuse dock! Mine works great! Timely the official one came out the day after I got mine from AT&T.

Official dock from Samsung arrived today. Very nice, works as advertised. Micro USB and 3.5mm outputs on the dock.
Hey Dutchman, Can you take a screen shot of what the phone does once docked? Is the ock app included? I know that the car home app from samsung is not available for the touch as it was for the OG Epic. Unless updated in the last week or so.
Also would you be willing to see how well ionroad works with this dock? I am waiting for delivery now but a heads up would be awesome if you had the time.

So far there's not a Dock available for the note but I've found this two that maybe work, they're for the GS2-3-4. Obviously they're narrow because are designed for cellphones but who knows if they do the trick for the note. If someone has one and tried on their note, please let us know how it turned out.

I can confirm that the dock I use for my Note 2 does indeed work with my 2014 Note 10.1.

Anyone tried the "New Single Desktop Sync Charger USB Dock For Samsung Galaxy Tab 3" on ebay?
It can hardly not work since it looks like the USB is just passthrough.. but the question is how well the tablet sits in it..

the galaxy s3 desktop dock works with my tablet as well as does the s3 hdtv adapter - i picked up both today for $20 total off kijiji they were both bnib sealed - great deal !

Here you go. Sorry, I was out of town for the weekend.
It's usable, but tap it super hard and it'll go over backwards. I wouldn't be afraid to charge it this way or do some light reading if you're careful, but it works much better with my Note II.
I'm using the Belkin Charge & Sync Dock for Galaxy S4.
Although it does work as a charger and stand for the note 10.1 2014, it wasn't really designed for it. You probably wouldn't want to do any heavy table use while it's on the stand, and it is not the easiest thing to slide the tablet onto the micro-usb jack.
I search almost weekly for a really good dock. One that is like the Sony Xperia Tablet Z would be perfect, if it had a usb jack in the middle/bottom.
This is looking more promising, I've just sent off for it...will let you know how it performs when it arrives.

Besides of that it has a movable and shock absorbing part with connector. See pic.1

The dock holds the tablet securely & it's very stable, the pics show it connected up to the mains via usb cable & charging the tablet & no problems, but I noticed when when connected to the PC via usb data transfer is no problem but it doesn't charge, this may be a prob for some users..but it's one which I personally can live with especially for the price.

I have the Samsung smart dock the was originally marketed for a note2. This tablet doesn't even acknowledge it as a power source.

Ok sounds strange. The note 2 and 3 and this tablet all have....supposedly the 11 pin micro usb connector. The links I have mentioned in my post have the dock which is advertised to work with note 2/3 , so it still remains a mystery of whether it will work....secretly I am hoping it should...
Just need some more confirmation from other users as well.

The Note II uses a 5v charger and the 10.1 uses a 5.3V. That could be the difference.

It charge and visualize my alarm clock (3rd party app) when docked and output music to my stereo from the 3.5mm audio port on the back.

Well seems like there is mixed response in making sure that a S4/N2/N3 multimedia dock will work with N 10.1 2014 or not.
The OEM Samsung dock mentioned, is barely just a charger with audio out function, not a true multimedia dock like I have mentioned in my first post, which effectively i wanna marry with the 10.1 2014 to make it a productivity workstation.
Anyways seems like I have to get one true multimedia dock in hand and keep checking it around with display and demo unit to know.
By that time keep pouring in with your results and suggestions if you come across any other dock for this beast.

The unit will charge through one of the USB connections using a cable, but will not do anything through the main connector.
Oh, and your mileage may vary, I just noticed your Note is a 605 and mine is a 600 ... I doubt that will make a difference, but you never know.
I bought one for the S4 with broken screen, so I'll report back
