So I got the S4 today at the Sprint store so I had to pay 100$ deposit and and I got 100$ off for using my Prepaid T-Mobile Account and he switched my number over but I didn't want him to do that I told him but he did it so now my T-Mobile account is deactivated and it was activated until June1 and I had 27$ on my account but now it's deactivated but I still need that account and now my number got switched to Sprint so how can I recover my T-Mobile Account and balance and all? Please help if you knew what to do

omg dude plz use periods.
Personally I think you're screwed. Call T-Mobile customer service and, pausing to breath where appropriate, explain the issue to them.

I have been with T-Mobile for 10 years and I call the Loyalty Department for any issue I have...Their job is to keep you happy..I really don't think the amount of time you have spent with them determines how much they help you...So call customer care and ask to speak to the Loyalty Department they gave me the S4 for half the price with nothing down I'm sure there is something they can do for you.
T-mobile told me that I'll have to call Sprint and tell them I didn't want that number transferred and that I need a new number then when they change it I can get my tmobile account back. Will this really work?

Pay whatever T-Mo wants to charge you to undo this without complaint. Find something hard like an encyclopedia and swing it at your forehead. let it impact. Hard. Be thankful that it can be undone.

When you said half price, are you talking about half of $629, which is ~$315. If so, why? I've been a customer just as long. I would like to know what was the offer/promotion and the circumstance.

Ummm... the whole point of the $100 promotion Sprint is running is so you will switch over from your "T-Mo" service to Sprint's. Switching over means you will leave your old service behind and transfer your number to Sprint. I fail to see the problem here. If you didn't want to transfer your number, then you shouldn't be receiving the $100 off promotion. Why did you even leave that much in there? The only way I see is for T-Mobile to send you a check since everything on your account is paid for.
you went to sprint?
have fun with that.
i just came from them and i can defiantly tell you your not getting anything better. data speeds are so slow you will wish you were on dialup.
unless your in their lte area, but thats the only exception
I didn't start this thread over 27$ pay attention instead of trying to be smart nd funny.. and I didn't know it was going to port my number over. He didn't explain all of that.

The solution's been posted. Can somebody lock this retarded thread before it gets worse?
So I should definitely be able to get my TMobile Account and everything back for sure?

trying to get out of your contract this way wont work......tmobile is already aware of the threats people are using as roaming capping data.....in a unlimited data plan...contracts states thete allowed to make changes within..sucks.....
Just find a dead spot on there coverage map and say ur moving there since they can't provide service they have to terminate ur contract
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
i tried that as well...they will need a bill to verify your address....lol...and they told me you should have checked the coverage map when signing co tract...these tmobile guys wont let u loose unless your deceased .....

Start a series of dialogs with customer service regarding dropped calls and terrible service signal. Call each day for a week or so, eventually they will "pass it to the engineers" and you can still call and complain. After a week or two file a case with the Better Business Bureau. They will ask you what you want them to do, just tell them you want out without the ETF. Worked for me.

I guess that's what I will have to do.: I have already called about that maybe four or five times and nothing. I think you're right and that in should file with bbb. Reason I want out is because I am moving to a crappy coverage area and frikin tmo keeps charging me $100 more than what I should be paying. Att gives me that same plan, but for half the price.

I have been chatting with this girl on Craig list who wants to get rid of her sgs3 to help pay for an iphone later this week....
I know all the sprint / tmobile phones on Craig list eventually are blocked for non payment / reported stolen...
To my understanding att doesn't care about this stuff... At least last year the un didn't..
Is that still the case? Don't want to get this good deal on a phone just to have to unlock and sell it again..
Want to buy it for my sister

Actually yes att does block imeis for stolen devices. I work for them and it just came out. Its called blocklisting. Will not work on att and if you put an att sim in it it will suspend your service.

What if somebody opens an att account.. Sells their phone on Craig list and stops payments to it.. Will att block the phone they got with the contract?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Just meet up at the store make the purchase there. If the seller is unwilling to go there then tell them to screw off. They will have security cameras all over the place so there is evidence that this person is selling you the phone; and you will also have a witness that this is taking place so if later they claim that they never sold it to you and it was in fact stolen then you have some evidence in your corner. Legally speaking nothing is concrete but you have to think as litigious as possible because scum is everywhere.
And if you want to get really ridiculous you could type up a document stating that they will in fact pay in full the remainder of the contract and/or pay any fees necessary to keep "the specific ImeI" from being blocked from att service. You would have to have them sign it in front of a witness and a notary. If I were spending more than 400 bucks I would get this ridiculous. Then if you have to take them to small claims court this contract will be as good as any other contract and any judge worth a damn will force them to pay the damages.

Hi... This is my first post here. I have a sprint galaxy S3 and I want to swap it for a GSM galaxy s3. So what should I do? I just call Sprint and ask them to stop the service? how will the person buying my phone port his/her sprint number to the S3 I sell them?
Just sell it on eBay or something. If the account is in good condition, no problems. If not, Sprint will flash the phone. If you advertise it, make sure you post the esn is clean (assuming it is).
You want to be sure all your account info is wiped. It's more than a factory reset. I don't know how to do it, but I suspect Sprint could tell you how. They helped me when I was activating my last used phone (mopho).

Thanks! but how do i find out if it has a good or bad ESN? I'm using the phone right now and I don't see any such message. But is there a specific way to find that out?
What's ESN? is it IMEI?
If you are using it, you have a good ESN. If you let the account with a debt Sprint will give you a bad ESN or easier, your phone will be blacklisted, and nobody would be able to use it, unless they flash to another carrier.
In other words
GOOD ESN = More money.

it's white color. I don't know how much to ask
I used it for like 2 days and i got my nexus 4 shipped now. So I don't want this one.. I thought nexus will never get shipped. I will now go for tmobile $30 100 minutes plan.. that's why I'm selling it
You have to close your account with Sprint, and pay the current bill. Then you can sell the phone and the person have to make a account or change current device with Sprint, but not use the same number.
Sent from my O=O
Read the ESN (many programs that can do.this) and if it matches the number on the battery then you have yourself a 'good' ESN
If you have had it to days I would jyst return it. Cancellation is 350 if youve had it less than 6 months with sprint. You got a 14 day return policy. Or if you dont care about your credit put an old Sprint phone in place of the S3...that will free up the ESN to use for someone else and just not pay your bill.

I don't think so. I wondered the same with my S3. But T-Mobile rep said the phone will not be able to be activated on another number if it is not paid off on my number. So i paid it off.
Do you mean to make a new account? Because as long as they just swap sim cards and you keep paying it, there should be no problem

IMEIs are saved per account. When they swap SIM cards, the will know the phone is no longer under the same account. Honestly OP, best bet would be to call up and ask.
Does this mean that people will not be able to sell their payment plan phones If it's not paid off? Because that's good news, no more scams where ppl sell the phone and stop paying the bill

I was going to sell my phone on Swappa but thought about this before I listed it because I didn't want to screw anyone over. If that's the case then I may have to return my Moto X :-/ Either that or dig myself even deeper into debt and pay off the remaining balance on the S4, sell it on Swappa and hopefully recoup my losses....
I just had to call up customer service and tell them that a friend was going to be using the phone while I was paying it off.
