Hi all. I have noticed this problem in ALL the custom ROMs I have used. Yet I searched the forums and got no solution.
The next word prediction does not work in the keyboard. It only worked for me in the stock rom. How do I fix this issue?
Please someone help

Thanks for your suggestion but I wanted a solution to the problem not changing the keyboard altogether
And I hate the numeric keyboard of SwiftKey and the themes are outrageous.

I like SwiftKey but I do hate that numeric keyboard, and you're right about the themes. They first of all don't offer many, and the only one (IMO) that's decent or good is the default one.

I've tried it, but I'm not a fan of "skins" over a different keyboard
Try htc ime mod, just search it on google

SwiftKey X use that one of the better keyboards. Has arrow keys as well and the light skin sort of looks like the HTC keyboard.

Mine was an apk. You didn't have to flash. And the 4.2 keyboard isn't much different than the 4.1. It just has swype features now and better correction.
Galaxy S3.
I actually was in the ROM itself. Thanks guys. Mods close thread

Hey everyone, I am currently using the stock LG keyboard, but I was wonderring if there are any other great keyboards (like the Jellybean and ICS ones) out there?
Suggestions and screenshots are most helpful.

I use 'Google Keyboard' which is the official 4.2 google keyboard, it's in the play store for free
One thing I really like about it, you can change the 'long press' delay so for numbers you don't have to wait 2.5 million years before it shows up!

I use swiftkey that it's well know by everyone and I like touchpal too as a free option (I've google 4.2 in my tablet and I like too).
Today I've heard about a totally new keyboard with a different concept "Minuum keyboard", locks very nice
Interesting, I shall try them all out!
Thanks for the suggestions!

Decided to go with Google keyboard.
As I prefer having control over the vibration, and that wasn't an option on the LG keyboard!

I recommend AI TYPE keyboard.it's full qwerty with numeric top row.for a big screen it's the best.
I like Kii keyboard... Same as Google keyboard but with addons and different layouts....
I loved swift key before but it now annoys me because it auto corrects in search bars too which is a pain

Recently on the galaxy nexus section they managed to port the lock screen but it was not just normally flash able, a lot of files had to be tinkered with and was not for all 3 variants.

Ios cannot be ported it is closed source. If you want the lockscreen use an Apo called espied locker, works exactly like the iphone lockscreen.

I don't remember if the one I saw was touchwhiz, but I also saw a lockscreen porting tutorial and it was the same way. apps and jar files had to be decompiled, etc. for every single rom individually, every time they update to keep it current. It would really be a big project to keep a running database of them....I think this is why no one has posted a pre-made one. They don't want the inevitable flood of request posts. Imagine keeping up with just PA, AOKP, CM, and PAC rom every release...just those four alone would be time consuming enough
