Hey if my speeds are not up to what they should be what should I flash?
I run Telus dual cell Galaxy S2, which gets me speeds up to 42mbps.
Right now I am gettng only 14mbps down. Should I flash a modem or a kernel?

Your speed is fine. You don't need to flush anything. The speed of 42 Mbps is theoretical provided all conditions are perfectly met. In reality speed varies between 10-20 Mbps.

In Canada on Telus, since there aren't as many users on the network, in comparison to the US.
The speeds are actual, so when I did an update for a ROM and the speeds were less than half I was curious about what to do.

Hello guys. I am going to open this one up and let it be. I'll explain why:
1) Yes, I know there is a stickied Wiki in this section. (Great job by barnacles10 starting that off ) But let's be honest here. I remember when I first started I didn't even know what a "wiki" was. I feel this will be very helpful for the new guys coming in. Probably will see some noobs come in because of the price drop to $99.
2) Believe me I know the rule "If you did not make it, do not post it". He is not trying to take credit for anything. No different here than when a member posts a thread for all of the CM themes. Only trying to be helpful.
3) What is it going to hurt? This is a helpful, useful post/thread and better than half the threads I see pop up on a daily basis. (If you feel different PM me and we will discuss it.)
So please do not come in here and flame and make me clean house again. Feel free to help the OP in his quest to keep it updated. Suggestions, links, etc. Happy flashing.

Nice thread idea. One thing I would suggest is maybe further breaking it down a bit more then just ICS, GB roms. Such as:
ICS
-AOSP
--CM9 alpha 5
--AOKP b37
--etc.
-Touchwiz-based
--Blu Kuban
--Calks 1.6
--etc.
GB
--Blazer 4.1
--Calks 3.0
I think it would help with finding roms a bit quicker and help with organization
Edit: Also to cut down on clutter, you should leave out dead roms or those not being supported anymore like Viper, Midnight, New Senzation Rom, etc.

If it stays updated and intact I will sticky it. I kind of feel we have too many stickies right now, but I can do a "Roll Up sticky" thread like the one I did in the OG Epic Thread.

Didn't i see this get flamed and then taken down? Glad to see it back. Like I explained to rwilco, i had this idea once and opted not to accept the responsibility of having to update a never ending thread. Technology never ends and this will always need updating as long as new releases are being made. So kudos to you for taking on this kind of responsibility. That being said, I've been saving every version as it was FIRST released since around JAN, so if you need anything in the ROM department, don't hesitate to ask. I even have a lot of themes and of course boot animations within my library of flashable items for the e4gt. PM me if I can help in any way. (Pretty sure I backed you up from that flamer before this thread was moved to the general section) Like I said, good job and glad to see this in development, if anything but as a tribute to all the hard working developers who have brought forth this collection of works. Believe me it takes intelligence, hard work and diligence to put these ROMS together. Ive spent days just making personal MODS. I can understand why there are teams that make this stuff happen.HATS OFF to the devs who have the mental endurance to do it solo. Great idea for a thread man.

heres a stock JB kernel, i use it as my safety kernel in case i flash something seriously rotten. its good, ive flashed it a few times. i found it on xda, in these forums, but dont remember who to credit for it https://www.box.com/s/1466b0235c2c2c2c54b1

Easy way is to save a nandroid of both. Then restore the one you want to use.

OP, change the name of the thread to have "unofficial" somewhere and/or give the ROM a name that isn't "PAC v2XXX" like the official one (IE: custom name). Also add if this ROM is source compiled, what you added to it, etc.

Yea this looks like a copy of official PAC but with different boot animation, correct me if I'm wrong.

You need to state the mods you added in the OP so members would know would not think it's an exact copy of P.A.C. Along with stating the mods, you also have to give credit to the authors of the mods you added by typing the name of the mod author in your credits section.

just a copy of the OFFICIAL P.A.C. rom so as said above you need to put unofficial in the OP title not to mention maybe just come up with your own work instead of an almost exact copy of an already popular OFFICIAL rom
