[Q] [gameing, stability] Whats the best rom at android 4.0? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys.
I have some questions for you.
1. Whats the best rom for xperia play at android 4.x?
For now i am using gimbean 2.3.0 + projectlard v6 scripts. |
Is there a 4.x room with good performance and stability?
I just want play ps1 games (epsxe emulator) , pokemons at GBA emulator (myboy free) and some android games like Trialx2,angry birds, mega jump etc. Good will be when launcher will dont lagging
2. Whats the best android music player for .flac's?
3. Whats the best utility box? I mean for clean cache, kill task etc
4. Whats the best audio drivers for xperia play + superlux HD668b? + can you make a good equalizer settings from me? for a clear bass and good treble's
5. Whats the best performance controller for high overclocking? Now i am using 249-1613ghz with "performance" and i/o sio . Is this good? + whats the max temp for battery?
Sorry for my bad english,im kinda newbie.

There is no best rom. You must test them an choose what's the best for you. And if you want to play it's the best to stay on gb. And 4.x isn't only ics.
I think this questions are not allowed

Also clocking to 1.6 and performance will lock your processor at 1.6 GHz or the max clock speed which will eventually fry your CPU which will mean bye bye xperia

Best rom is stock gingerbread.

[TWEAK] To improve performance

Hey,
While grazing through the web, i found some tweaks to improve the performance of our phone. I flashed it and found my phone noticeably faster. It may be placebo effect but why dont you guys try it out and let me know!! :good:

Hi,
What kind of performance did you notice? And can you provide some examples? With benchmarks if is possible?

The general speed of scrolling has improved. The whole UI seems much smoother.. I didnt run any benchmarks yet, but will do so shortly..
The original thread about that tweak is dead. No update anymore. probably some script doesn't effect with a new ROMs.

I think it had more to do with the OP's account being disabled rather than the tweak not working on new roms...
This is the score i got. Max freq:600 Mhz Min freq: 200 Mhz. Governor: smartass v2. And i must say i have a crappy class 2 sd card..
nice result. What ROM are you using? You can set the 806Mhz processor and check the result?
it's not work for me, i have the same result without thi mod..
what were the initial score ?? without this patch i mean ???

Agree, it would be useful to give before and after results and info n which Rom
Sent from my HTC Desire C
it is not work. I have with and without this mod the same score - something like 1966 in atuntu.
Wihout the tweaks:
787 MHz max - 245 Mhz min Governer= Scary
32GB class 10
SD Booster - 2048
BEATSenseless rom (android 2.3.5)
With de Tweaks:
787 MHz max - 245 Mhz min Governer= Scary
32GB class 10
SD Booster = 2048
BEATSenseless rom (android 2.3.5)
For me is works, but for how long....i hope for a while...
we shall see
Thanks for the tweaks
I think we can all agree that there's no development in this thread. You should probably report this and have it moved.
Edit: also, I this gives a 50 point boost in antutu. But you just can't feel ll it

I see.. nothing ! but without higher score ...buts ~ same
Hey,
build.prop tweaks aren't exactly meant to improve your performance scores, rather than to improve the general usability. These tweaks dont necessarily boost your benchmarks. If you see an increase in benchmarks, then great! But the effect it has, has to be felt rather than seen!!

Yes, i think it is.
And we are likely to get higher scores in GB than in ICS, because GB is fully optimised for our devices, while ICS is sort of modded to work.. (no offence to the great devs who made porting ICS possible in the first place!)
I belive thse are just bunch of init.d tweaks so any rom that supports init.d should work. In terms of scores you wont see any significant changes. This doesnt iprove your ram work or your gpu and cpu speed. You will however see overall improvement on stock roms and not neceserly on moded ROMs as they alrady have their own tweaks.
It worked !!!!

I wouldnt say that there was a huge difference in the performance but yeah, the scrolling speed, a small glitch in the graphic interface sometimes when some heavy was in background etc did reduce to nill.......

Newly Unlocked R800AT

Title says it all. What Roms, kernels, tweaks, etc. would y'all recommend for an R800AT, Not too worried about how the interface / UI looks, aiming more for smooth gaming, fast / responsive, good features, good amounts of ram & internal memory....IDK I guess a good all around set up perhaps?
-thanks
I just got my R800at unlocked too! I suggest you install NXT Lite Edition. It is beast for gaming! - Here
Make sure to also install DoomKernel - Here
I use no frills CPU control (it's on Google Play), overclocked to 1.21ghz, smartassv2 governer, sio.
With all this, my phone is running games amazingly!

I don't mind the missing camera, and I use my phone mostly for texting.

I got better experience for these combinations.
In normal mode -> Interactive/X + SIO/Noop (for better battery)
while playing games -> onDemand + Deadline.
Just flash the new fusion 3.6. if you are on aokp jb 5 it's pretty good just don't forget to flash the wifi modules.

Please post questions in the question and answer section!
And light means that the rom gives better performance so it's better for gaming...

Hey friend!
For games I recommend Rom
NXT2JB v1.1b (By sewer56lol)
(If the download, which is the version v1.1b! Because-Remastered version contains some bugs)
Kernel: Doomkernel v1.4 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1176502)
And the application SETXPERIA!
suguiente configure it the way:
128 MHz - Min / 1027 Mhz - Max
Governor: Smartass v2
Scheduler: SIO
UNDERVOLT: -75 mV
And also the application used-Swapper2-(Free Google Play) With a 256MB swap partition.
And application-Ram Manager Pro (download the latest version) and use it in-game hard-way!
And If you want to save even more RAM! for better gaming performance
Use the application - GEMINI APP - (Free on Google Play) and blocks all autostart apps that are unnecessary.
And if you want a LAUNCHER (Beautiful, smooth, stable and with many visual settings) Use the - NEXT LAUNCHER! (The latest version) which is a cominacion of (SPB SHELL 3D - GO LAUNCHER EX and TFS SHELL)
With all that I have a 250 MB of free RAM! And optimal battery performance,
and the best gaming performance you can have on a Gingerbread rom,
Running GTA VICE CITY, WILD BLOOD, NEED FOR SPEED MOST WANTED, MODERN COMBAT 4 (without delay)
I hope I helped a friend!
regards
Personally i prefer the lite version.
actually im using doom kernel with this parameters max:1305 mhz min: 249mhz Scaling: ondemand
I can play VC with medium graphics and without lags.
Yeah those are the best roms for xperia play but im using the normal one
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
both are good for gaming. but with the normal nxt 1.3 you get more nxt Features. install the normal nxt 1.3
I wouldn't go with jellybean roms, I just got off one and I realizing how much I miss gingerbread.
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app

Stock GB.
Nothing else comes close.
i went with the light edition myself. with doomkernel, overclocked. only problem i have with it is i can't have a 2nd partition on my memory card and use link2sd. an issue that has been brought up in the nxt thread and don't know if krisdee ever got around to fixing it. if anyone knows of a "light" GB rom like NXT light that supports 2nd partition/link2sd or a fix to make it work, please share. anyways, nxt light edition = smooth phone UI and great gaming experience!

Hate to necro, but I am running NXT L.E. and have a 4gb ext4 partition and a linux swap partition with the rest (52gb) for sdcard stuff. Not a single problem here.

My little SGY [ROM, KERNEL, MOD, TWEAKS combos]

Hello!
I think that this kind of thead would be nice for noobies like me. I know that there are already good rom, kernel, mod and tweak lists but sometimes it can be very difficult to find combo which is perfect for you. This is not a thead for comparing roms, kernels etc. It would be nice if as many as possible posted here how your little SGY had been customized and specially for what kind of use.
Post atleast ROM and KERNEL and USE like this:
My SGY
ROM: Hyperion 8 GM Final
KERNEL: Savie #73 (Governor: OnDemand, I/O scheduler: sio)
TWEAKS: V6 SuperCharger and KAK
USE: I use SGY daily as my current phone so it has to be stable and every basic features must be working. I also wanted as much as possible performance without battery draining. Now my SGY run over 2 days for basic use and one day for heavy use (internet and little gaming). I also wanted bassboost for my audio player. I think that my performance is very good now and I can even play GTA III with only little bit lag (using Chainfire 3d) but the most reason for this combo is stable and fast normal use (no apps forsing down and freezing)
Sorry for my bad english. If someone want to write this with better english, go ahead.
Any one else didn't want join?
There seems to be awesome traffic in this thead!
Well, I'm going to update my combo anyway:
ROM: Hyperion 9 GM Final
KERNEL: Merruk 2.5 #206 (Freqs: 1248Mhz/312Mhz, Governor: SmartassV2, I/O scheduler: Noop)
TWEAKS: None
USE: Now my little SGY is my second phone and I don't use it very much anymore. When I go to gym I use SGY as mp3 player because my other phone is too big (5''). I also browse internet sometimes. With Hyperion 9 and Merruk 2.5 kernel SGY is amazingly fast and internet browsing is very smooth. Only disadvantage is that battery drops pretty fast. Long live SGY!

I just don't get you. Why do you need to spam this thead? If you have not anything to say then leave. No need for that kind of post...

Then everyone can find a good combo for their SGY. Some tweaks and kernels aren't compatible with some roms etc.
Here is mine...
ROM: CyanogenMod 7.2 - BroadcomCM [TOTORO] [RC 4 - 09/03/2014]
KERNEL: CM Specific Basic Kernel - BroadcomCM[TOTORO][v4.0 - 07/3/2014] (Freqs: 832Mhz/312Mhz, Governor: Performance, I/O scheduler: Noop)
TWEAKS: None
USE: My little SGY is my first purchased phone and I use it as mp3 player & for GMAIL. I also play games. My SGY is amazingly fast.
:good: Long live SGY :good:
