Hey guys just tried to make a rom, my first rom, i hvant recieved my Hero yet, so i need someone to try it, this is not a comercia Rom, i take no credit as other were more vauable in making it, but i need someone to test it out for me
Core rom is from Froydvillian( so credit goes to him) and l1nuxfre4k for his site,
again i take no credit and this is a test rom for my personal phone but as i dont have at the moment i need someone to test it
You must be rooted and i take no responsibiity

Always good to see new stuff, but can you say what is different, what has been changed, added etc.. or have you just removed/added some .apk's?

right now, no tweeks, i have to work on that tonight, i plan to make a default Launcher inbuilt, some goodies and tweks to make it fast, my own custom boot up screen but thats in the works now

i'm using the corefiles from FD1.5 from cookmyrom.se, i still have to start the work on it tho, i just wanted someone to test it to see if it works

I know i've been too noisy today with a lot of questions, but i'm just wondering if the hTC Sense 2.1 in this phone customizable ? Can we control how many pages we need ? Can we even disable it ?
Let me know your thoughts !

If you mean home screens, actually not. There are 7 home screens, and you can't control it. You can install another launcher, if you want

Thanks a lot, I'll go through the forum to look for launchers but let me share with you the ideas that hit me even before thinking:
1- will Sense be still there installed ?
2- any launchers you recommend ?

I'll dig this link looking for files of what i need but it'd have been great if i can only have 3 or 4 pages

No, sense will be installed anyway. You can uninstall unused things using root uninstaller (Only if you have root[be careful]). What about launchers, try looking "LauncherPro", and, ADW launcher EX, i think, it's the best now.

[Q] Stop Game Pad From Unlocking Screen

Well I have been looking around but havent found this anywhere...is there a way to stop the screen from unlocking when the gamepad slides out. Its getting really annoying when the phone is in my pocket I pull it out and I have 1000 things open. Thanks.

It's funny I have the exact opposite problem. I want it to open up every time i slide out my gamepad.

I feel ya, man. I hate how sliding the pad open unlocks the phone. I have to turn it off if I'm doing something that requires a lot of movement, otherwise I take my PLAY out to find it loaded with about a dozen apps (not exaggerating). Would've been much better as a flip phone, IMHO.

exact same thing that happens to me...was building a cat thing (something like this) for my fiance the other day to find tons of stuff open and lots of settings changed...was not a very nice surprise lol. I agree a flip phone would of been better.

There should be an option to "Launch Xperia Play by sliding phone" or something like that in the Xperia Play Launcher Settings.
You can also install a custom lockscreen from the Play Store that allows Landscape orientation, i.e. WidgetLocker (Not free) or some other one.

Is it possible to get the tube tv effect when I put my screen to sleep on the stock rom?

Its called crt animation and not on stock roms! Im sure in time there will be a custom rom that will contain that soon

There's an app that I used on my TF101. It is a shortcut that locks your screen with a variety of effects:
Screen off and lock
It's free in the Play Store. No root required.

I dont want a custom rom on this phone.

my bad, I meant to reply to tyshemi, not you. I did install that app. It does not work with the power button, and the animation is not as nice..=

The CRT off animation doesn't play well with JB from what I've seen a couple devs say, which is why it isn't even on the custom ROMs, so chances of getting it on a regular phone are slim and none I'd say.

I never said it worked with the power button. It's an icon you can tap; might actually be nicer. But I'm sorry to hear that you don't like it as much!

Thanks for the info. I kind of like the tv static plus crt close.
I have the off button on my screen now. For when I actually remember to use it, vs muscle memory of hitting the physical button.

you get my thanks for showing me this apk ... i actually enjoy the animation .. i just use it as one of my stock icons at the bottom of the screen .. your also 25 miles from me ... thanks for the info neighbor !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No problem! Just a word of caution - When I use this in combination with WidgetLocker the unlock doesn't work. I had to turn the screen off with the power button then it worked again. Most likely caused by the way that WidgetLocker is an app and not a system function.

Want to Change S-Pen Sounds without having to use another app

The Note 20 Ultra is Great, but I would like to be able to change the S-Pen Sounds without having to install another App or a Launcher.
I would likento know where the Hidden Folder would be for the S-Pen Sounds so I can Change the Sound for when it is removed as well as it being put back.
If Anyone Knows this Information, then Please post it here for Everyone to see.

I'm going to just go assume you'd need root to change the audio files that are most likely located in the system partition.
Do you have the Exynos or Snapdragon variant?

Tried to on the 10+, no joy.
Be nice if there be a Good Lock apk to do this...

It's a new phone.... you're not gonna find a way this soon in the game to do it without some other app. Do they even have root yet for it? Cause those folders you need root to view.

I use note buddy for s pen sounds, No need for root. And root is available if you so choose. I'm currently rooted.

Cool it works but jeeeeezse samsung.... shouldn't need to install an app to change a sound file.
Like I'm really concerned about losing those lame samsung sound bites, bah-ha-ha-ha... not.

Note buddy doesn't work for me... SPen toolbox worked for me...

I try not to sideload. Not sure why it was dropped from Playstore.

They are apparently going to be releasing a Good Lock app for Spen customization. May include sound changes if you want something more "official"

The Pentastic app available through the GoodLock app. Allows multiple customization to the S-Pen.

Yea, that was the app I was referring to. Seems decent, just gotta find some good pointers and sounds.

The good thing about Pentastic is you can install it as a standalone, good lock is not required. Pentastic is pretty good fun to use, well worth a try, just to try out new pen removal and insert noises is worth it.

Those looking to add lightsaber sounds to spen, download the lightsaber notification sounds from the zedge and use timbre app to reduce the volume of those files by 50% since they are very loud. 50% less is perfect balance.

I didn't get it on the playstore.. you can down load the apk from other sources.

What My Original Post was referring to was for being able to change the S-Pen Sounds without having to Install ANY other Apps that eat up Space and Resources.
I wish that by going through the System Files somewhere in Android that the S-Pen Sound Files Can be Found and Replaced for Both taking Out the S-Pen and Inserting the S-Pen.
Hopefully the Sounds are in an MP3 Format and can be Swapped without Any Problems and would stay even after Updates.
