Hi all,
Is there a stock rooted 4.1 GSM for the Nexus out yet? Currently using IMM76I, just had the OTA for the official release on my phone now.

may i ask something? are you BLIND?
simple: NO.
cause 4.1 was the giveaway at the i/o for the visitors. a dump was used for the custom roms by bigxie and others... the nearest hat you asking for.
4.1.1 is the official jelly bean release by google.

Apologies for the wrong section, my mistake. [Moderator; Please could you move this thread?]
I shall go hunt for Bigxie's ROM, thanks, stock is exactly what I am looking for.
I tend to shy away from Custom ROM's I simply don't know enough to get my self out of trouble when it comes to updates/flashing if something goes wrong, hence my initial dumb question!

bigxie first modified the 4.1 version, then the 4.1.1 version, so you're both right.

Sorry man.. but you've clearly not done research. There's a whole bunch of stuff on the forums and what you can find on google that will have your question answered. With all the already easy to find questions and the rest of the bullcrap that floats around the internet it is not difficult to find what a kernel does and how to flash it. Please use google search.
boot.img <-- would be your kernel though
Hi all!
I've seen a lot of talk about new versions of hboot around lately but what I'm not seeing is what they bring, and if it's worth going through the rigmarole to get the updated version installed and then having to modify my boot.img for CM10 nightlies to work etc. etc.
In short:
What do new version of hboot do for us?
The ability to install JB ROMs with Sense.

Clearly you're new, if a question has that obvious an answer, don't bother asking because you come off stupid

It doesn't really have an obvious answer.... a lot of new people wouldn't know this, and search sometimes doesn't give an answer, so they ask, and there isn't anything wrong with that.
yeah....

He may have not known it was hardware, he is new. He could have also meant updating the drivers (You can download updated drivers at developer.qualcomm.com)
Let's just all be nice towards each other now ^^
