PDF Markup Apps w/ SPen Support - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I thought this would be easy enough, but I'm looking for a PDF app that supports S-Pen so that I can have markups on and have touches register for changing pages or zooming but use my S-Pen to annotate the PDF. I thought for sure an app like this would exist but haven't found it yet. Sure, I can do markups in ezPDF but what I wish is I could have ezPDF only do markups with my S-Pen and not touch. Has anyone found such an app?

Have you found anything yet? Everything I have tried starts drawing squiggles when my palm touches the screen!!!!

It's in EzPDF now. Settings and then check "palm rejection" under the annotation section and this will limit input to Spen input.

Annotating PDFs
Hi guys,
I have just released a new slim pdf annotation app that targets those of us who want to annotate while we are reading documents. This app is not for note taking (for those who need that I recommend Papyrus).
My app is the slimmest PDF reader, with pen and marker annotation, I have seen. It is easy to use, and it allows you to annotate and highlight as you read. Exactly as you do on paper. It is extremely easy to switch between the pen and the marker; and to toggle colours.
Also – the app recognizes the difference between your finger and the stylus. Fingers are used to move, zoom and erase. The stylus is used to annotate.
A free version of Stylus Annotator is available on Play. Please try it and rate it.

Not sure if this is what you want but Xodo PDF Reader & Editor has an option to turn the Stylus into a Pen while the normal Touch input is used to scroll, click through menus and so o
edit: just saw that this was a very old thread

[Q] Notes / Note Pad app for Android 4.2.2

I recently eliminated TouchWiz / Samsung features and apps such as S-Note. I used the S-Note application to jot down something quick. What's the next best application on Android 4.2.2 ROMs that are similar to S-Note? Any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks for time and efforts!
Papyrus is very good.
I was recently at a lecture and used SketchBookMobile to take notes, draw pictures and diagrams. It's really an advanced sketching program along the lines of Illustrator but I find it really useful for jotting down notes. Other very useful features that many note taking apps do not allow is zooming in really close and writing very small. You'd be surprised how much fits on a page
Another advantage is that you can add photographs as a layer, resize them, fade them and write on top of them.
Good luck

[Q] Best setting for readable PDF from Word?

If I want to convert a Word doc to PDF for reading on the Note 8, what fonts, margins, line spacing, etc. would be optimal? Has anyone experimented with this already?

I have not experimented with different export options. I do however come across a whole bunch of different PDF files. The best solution I have found is to use multiple readers, one of them will display a file better. Besides Acrobat I also have the following;
Moon Reader, Kingsoft Office and ezPDF Reader.
Also reading the PDF in landscape mode helps for text size.
Also the reading hub does a good job for pdf reading. .. but no annotations. .. so I also use ezpdf
There a lot of word to pdf converters for PC..I don't think there is a particular need to adjust the word doc margins. ..Keep it default and experiment

What is the reading hub?
One of The Better PDF Readers (but no annotations) in my View is the "Perfect Viewer" with it's PDF plugin :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rookiestudio.perfectviewer&hl=en
It's a Comic Viewer (CBR,CBZ , etc..), but also supports PDF and can also load pdf's from a Lan Shares (samba/cifs).
It has a tons for configurable options, for color, rendering, touch zones ,as well as productivity ones like, history, bookmarks, auto border detection (removes the margins from pages), etc.
and it's free.
As for margins / fonts etc, Use basic standards and see what suites you best as it's a subjective thing.
Sans Serif Fonts have better readability on electronic devices.Just print documents with couple of different settings/fonts and see what suits your taste. (I personally like as little margins as possible because the tablet bezel itself is big enough of a margin.)
** I am not affiliated with the Perfect Viewer or it's author In anyway, I just use it on daily basis on all my android devices. For my needs,I find it to be better than any pdf reader currently available. (though not the fastest)

Looking for a PDF Reader

Hello guys
I'm looking for an app for my Nexus with some kind of way to open multiple PDFs at the same time and change between them quickly, for studying purposes. Adobe Reader doesn't do this. Do you know any app with this function?
Thanks

If you are only looking for PDF reader, then just go with any really. All are good!
However, you are looking for PDF reader + epub, mobi etc support go for moon+reader. It has speech and many cool options
If you are looking for PDF+ Office documents, just try office365
I am using both apps (paid versions) and there is not any app better than them in my opinion. Free ones are as great but Office365 free version won't let you edit documents.

I tried iannotate and it really has a nice system of tabs to open multiple PDF files and that was what I needed. But the App itself is a little buggy and not very fluent (can't even compare to Adobe). Do you know any other?
Thank you
Radaeel pdf , not sure if its compatible if you get it from playstore, but google the apk if u can't get in the playstore
QuickOffice by Google ?
Maybe OfficeSuite (not free)...
I never used a multi-pdf viewer so I couldn't really tell
Kingsoft Office?

You need EBookDroid.
HTML:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ebookdroid
It's a great PDF reader, and I use it to read my university books all the time, jumping from one book to another.
I paid for Moon+ Reader Pro in the past, but I've found EBookDroid works a lot better.
I like Foxit.
I tried EbookDroid and even though I liked it, it doesn't have a decent way to change quickly between PDFs. I think I'm gonna stick to iAnotate.
just go for adobe reader.
Try RepliGo Reader, ability to add notes and stuff

I read a lot pdf's on my nexus and i tried most of pdfs readers and i can truly say that mantano reader is the best for big pdf files
Mantano is slow as hell and does not support in pdf files included page numbers.
I have to read an insane amount for school, so i personally use Moon Reader or Foxit for those few PDF's that Moon Reader has a problem rendering. Kingsoft is nice for just reading but doesnt have any good markup options like Moon or Foxit. Moon is pretty feature rich and has options for both day and night time reading to reduce strain on your eyes which is helpful if you have to go late into the night.
Cheers
I like Adobe Reader but the tabs system is really important for me. I study engineering and I need to have one PDF with exercises opened and another PDF with the theory, that's the way I'm used to work with my computer and I bought a tablet mainly because it's very light and portable.
The ability to write notes and underline words/sentences on PDFs isn't very important to me, I don't use it.
ezPDF reeder is the best on android, and 10% of GoodReeader on IOS
using xda app-developers app
I tried a lot of PDF readers only ones with both good text reflow and reversed/nightview ifound were ezPDF Reader (paid) and Adobe Reader. I think paid Moon+ has that too with PDFI. For epub it is by far the best imo and I am consisering buyong pro.
In my opinion every reader should have reversed/nightview for when one has to read much or at night. So ridiculous that so much pdf readers don"t have that or automatic resizing text to fit screen They shouldn't even be called a reader-app.
In EzPDF Reader you can switch easy to other pdf's via recent documents. It will remember the pages of all the pdf's where you were at. If that is what you mean. I like it a lot it has a lot of options. .
But if Moon + pro is as good with pdf as with epub I might switch in the near future. (It has better animated page flip with epub than Ez with pdf also by the way).
try SmartQ Reader.it's the best PDF reader that i ever used

iAnnonate

I've tried em all. If you're looking for something that you can take notes directly on pdf's while keeping the searchable text xodo and ezpdf are the best. XODO has much better performance and UI but EZpdf has way more options except it's clunky and ugly.

[Q] ezpdf palm rejection

I have a note 10.1 2014 and purchased the ezpdf app to open pdf files and annotate on them using the palm rejection feature. However palm rejection never seems to work. It only works if the spen is very close to the screen and the Dot from the spen appears on the screen. I have gone into options and made sure palm rejection is ticked.
What I want is for nothing to be recognised by ezpdf when palm rejection is on irrespective of how far the spen is. Is that possible? Or is there an alternative to ezpdf that can do that.
Lecture notes converts the pdf to images. Hence don't like it. Snotes doesn't format the import as well. Hence don't like it.
Any ideas would be most welcome!!!

Seriously, give it a try and decide for yourself.
