I don't use it and consider it a pretty useless gimmick feature. I am curious how the majoity of you feel.
So do you use the multi-window feature? Please fill out the poll and make your comments if you wish.
I use it. Mostly when I'm shuffling files around. That's it tho.

Yup I use it.. Mainly stationary. When I'm watching a video and answering emails/text. Or listening to a quick song on YouTube & browsing the Web or whatever

I rarely use it. Mostly with emails that have addresses on them so I can pop maps and see where I am going.
I don't use it at all... I'm on aosp.

Not really. It seemed like it would be a good function to have but it doesn't really make my phone experience any better. It is fun to theme and show to friends.

I use it more than I thought I would, comes in handy when managing finances. ..etc running calculator app and my bank app at the same time.

Doesn't your bank account app do your adding and subtracting for you? If not, you need a better app.
Nope the app is a watered down version of their IOS app

Yeah, only use I've had for it is running forums simultaneously, or checking md5 sums. Otherwise....meh

Try Moola. It's a great banking app.
I have used it maybe 3 times and that was just to play with it cause I was bored.
Every day when it is docked on my dash. Slacker/Google on one side and navigation/camera on the other.

I use it marginally. I find it useful when I'm watching YouTube. I do not have to stop the video to reply to emails or texts.

I use more then I thought. I use it when I have to read something for school and using the dictionary at the same time.

I use it quite a bit. It's mainly for items that I don't want to stop running to do something else, such as watch a video or streaming SiriusXM via boat browswer, and need to check email, text, IM, or play a game. I also use to check weather or turn on WiFi tether. I've even used it to have to have navigation and streaming SiriusXM.

I like Wi-fi Tether and "Memories" which allows me to keep a diary of daily things I do.
Of the many features Samsung included in the Galaxy S3, what is your favorite (or one of them) and why? Even if it isn't exclusive to the phone, I'm curious to know.
Personally, and I didn't think this would be one of them when I heard about it, I LOVE Smart Stay. I usually use my phone a lot to browse and read forums and other internet documents. My old phone was constantly turning off the screen while I read a long post. My Galaxy S3 never turns it off. One of the best features of the phone imo. It's all the little things that work together to make this phone so great.
So what is your favorite feature of the phone?

It happens a lot on the xda app, and noticing it alot on instagram. I see no data activity for 10 seconds then it will animate and data will load whatever im browsing. Dont use facebook or twitter. Infact I never used instagram till yesterday and its doing same thing as xda, which is what I browse with the most. I thought it was just the xda site but I guess not. My wife hasnt noticed it in hers but i will be trying her phone out now that I know its the phone.
Surprised I havent found other complaing. Maybe I need to swap this thing out

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
Try fing
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
*#*#4636#*#* will get you a ping test - choose "Info," then "Device information," which is actually telephone information. You can also get an app "Hidden Menus" from the Market which will save you the effort of keying all that in
*#0*# works to get into the Service Menu to test the rest of the phone out.
I am wondering if it's a modem issue. Any ideas if we have any other modems and can we flash modems from the first Note? I saw dagr8's thread on modems but no Att modems available to download. They are all bad links. I think they were having issues with them. I also saw someone posted a newer modem but it needs to be packaged in a zip.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
I need multi view so I can watch and run ping the same time as browsing. I have to switch over to pinging app when I see no activity and buy the time I switch over its pinging away. It stops pinging when I am switched over on another app

I used it, it's good for texting with friends from other countries. But it's redundant if they already have facebook messenger.

I personally like it better than the stock one on my GS3. the problem is that not everyone would load this on their phones to text. mostly everybody uses the stock sms and don't care for something different. But how come there's no widget for this app?
I started this thread for all of us to share ideas on how we can get the best usage out of Multi-View.
I just used my Multi-View to scan my CVS card and then I selected Google Wallet. This was the most efficient way to pay for my items.
