This tutorial is really excellent and helpful but you forgetting something which would really help a lot more:
There are so many options in Morphology and during the installation the AROMA installer only
has text telling and asking you which options or features you want but there is no way to actually
SEE what these settings/options/features/themes and toggles will look like before flashing them.
So perhaps you or someone else reading this can create a lot of screen shots which actually
show how each of the options/features/themes/icons/toggles and other options in Morphology
would look like BEFORE we more or less just GUESS at what we select in the Aroma installer.
Without screen shots to show us what each of the features and options will look like it would take
even a very fast and patient person many days to set it up the way they would want it to look like.
Thanks!

Definitely can take screen shots in recovery lol, there are also large tutorials in all s3 variant forums, and an enormous amount of videos on YouTube.

[MORPHOLOGY] Options and Images Previews for 1.5
If you want to see what Backgrounds, Icons etc. to pick from go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072943
Most of the options available are right there. Easy to follow.
Just scroll through all the graphics that are available while picking/installing on the phone.
Use it as a guide!
FYI. Had the installer freeze on me twice so far. Just remove battery, reboot and start over. No reason for panic!

there are no images available in recovery for any themes i've seen. i think it would be way too much work to write every image into the aroma installer code...
Is there any wiping needed in these steps

A few months ago I found a set of themes for TWRP that worked nicely with our phone - They included a Nexu Theme - an S3 Theme and sveral others - and simply required pasting the theme file into the root folder for TWRP - I wanted to try them again but unfortunately, I Can't find them anywyere - Does anyone know of any TWRP Themes that will work with our phone? Link Please -
thanks in advance

Carefull, I used the s3ui.zip theme and the phone got boot looped. I reset phone to start recovery from rom not button combo and my phone boot looped. Every time I turned it on it would continue to try and load recovery and get stuck on recovery startup screen. Eventually had to use Note 2 toolkit for windows to get it to reflash cwm then delete the ui.zip file in twrp/theme directory and then reflash twrp. I'm not sure if it was my twrp version or what (never really investigated it) but if it happens, above is the key to get out of it.

Hi
I am a total noob and this will be my first custom rom flash..lol
Can I use the AROMA installer on a Telus/AT&T phone?
The link was only on the T-moblie so I am guessing not.
If not I just want to make sure I get all files needed from the from the AT&T section like the modem, carrier files ect.
Any info would be great.
Thanks in advance

I use the Jedi 9 rom on my Rogers Note 2 which is the same as the at&t version and it works great. Yes you can use aroma installer as long as you download it from the AT&T note 2 area. I use theerseus kernel overclocked to 1800 and undervolted by 75 at each step and with this rom and that kernel I have gotten up to 1day 19hrs with over 6 hours of screen time. I would post my screen shot but don't have enough posts yet LOL enjoy you will love it! Just read read read before you do it quite easy to do just take your time and follow every step they say

Hmm...I could not find the AROMA installer package for jedi x9 under the AT&T section.
Thanks I will keep looking and reading up on it.Just confused with all the extra files..don't want to mess up my new phone..lol
The Color theme under the apps section for the Jedi rom uses aroma and is built in. It is a very nice theme as well I have been using it with no problems. You do not need aroma to install Jedi though at all. All you need will be carrier files and modem to be up and running then pick anything else you want to add from the goody bag. Flash room then carrier files and modem then you are good to go. Aroma can be nice but definitely not necessary by any means.

Ya just thought for the first time around installing at least I would not miss anything that I would need but now that I know what files I think I will just do it the way you suggest. Before I do the other files after the rom would I do any wipes?. That would be the only other concern I would have.
HELLO ALL GRAND FELLAS!
I am here just to share the tablet ui mod for our galaxy grand. It can be done by any newbie but if you want the things to get faster you can view this thread.
NOTE: If you want to apply a new theme, you need to first change the dpi of your phone to 190/240(190 recommended) i.e editing the lines in build.prop. choose your desired theme and again change the dpi to 160!
REQUIREMENTS:
1. CM10.1 on your GRAND.
2. Xposed installer and AppSettings.
3. Your favorite launcher (I prefer golauncher), u can use nova launcher too or even holo launcher.
4. cm10.1update.zip and cm10.1restore.zip.
5. Root explorer or any app to edit your build.prop.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Install Xposed installer and AppSettings.
2. Go to Xposed installer and click on install. After installing go to modules and tick AppSettings.
3. Now go to AppSettings and set the dpi as follows--
(i)Browser: dpi=240
(ii)Contact: dpi=240
(iii)Messaging: dpi=182/240 (thanks to jomota7)
(iv)Phone: dpi=240
(v)Phone/Messaging storage: dpi=240
4. Go to root explorer to edit your build.prop, navigate to system folder, open build.prop and edit this line--
default->ro.sf.lcd_density=240
edited->ro.sf.lcd_density=160 5. Install go launcher or any other launcher that you prefer.
6. Copy both the .zip files(cm10.1update.zip & cm10.1restore.zip) to your extsdcard.
7. Reboot into recovery.
8. Browse to where you copied your both the files. And install cm10.1update.zip.
9. Reboot.
10. You can always go back to your default Phone ui. Just flash the cm10.1restore.zip and change the dpi in build.prop to 190 or 240 (I prefer 190, gives a perfect look to cm on Grand)
11. You don't need to wipe your data, cache or dalvik cache!
:good:Thats it! You got your Tablet ui on your GRAND!:good:
Downloads:
1. cm10.1update.zip-- http://d-h.st/bMd
2. cm10.1restore.zip-- http://d-h.st/nIu

For help people don´t see my post and karipari95 (i answered you) have this post: OPTIMIZE DPI system/app in 5'' screen
Using the right apps and DPI you transform your Grand duos in PC portable lol. For now only use my portable for flash CWM or root devides i fix from friends lol.
For now in test diferents DPI and increase font because some people need big fonts lol.
"CM10.1 on your GRAND."
Right.... Now understand this point. It's need install Rom cm10.1 first.
Lol I install in Rom cook by custom cook and error appear. Lol.
Put a uplink to tread for cm10.1. I need this phone operational 2 chip's, sow I not install cm.
Change DPI is good but some people don't like small font. Just need increase font in app settings or in settings android.
Thanks karipari95.

The tool OP has used doesn't patch stock ROMs, it only patches custom ROMs (AOKP, AOSP, CM, PA). Which means that to achieve real tablet Ui on stock ROM one has to do the job manually, and for this one needs to mod android.policy.jar, services.jar and frameworks-res.jar.
As for me I'm currently trying, and so far I only half succeeded.
Tablet mode works and apps like settings open in split view, and I managed to have the bottom mini tray to work (look at the screenshots below).
I still didn't figure out how to merge the notification top bar with the navigation bottom bar and I'm not sure I will be able to do it, but let's be optimistic:silly:...

Here's a DEODEXED Stock Rooted ROM. Thanks LG for this ***** of a keyboard!
Must have unlocked bootloader.
In TWRP, factory reset, then wipe /system, /cache, /dalvic, and /data. (Do not wipe internal data, /data/media - that's your SD.)
Also works with KK versions of CWM and TWRP
The usual Disclaimer: You do this at your own risk!!!
First boot can take up to 4min. Be patient
So on first boot, to stop LG Keyboard from FC'ing, you'll need to go into Settings>Language & Input, and enable Google Keyboard
If you want LG Keyboard to work, you'll need to install Xposed framework. HERE
When it boots up, turn off Wifi. For some reason it always turns itself on when first booted up.
Then go to Settings>System Updates and update Profile, PRL.
Then Settings>Activate this device.
If you're trying to fix issues, use ZVC Stock Odexed found HERE
__________________________________________________________________________-
This version, other than being Deodexed, is identical to the original Stock Rom. Even the Kernel will show LG. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO UPDATE TO THIS if you have a prior version. But I think this one is better.
I'm keeping it as close to original stock as possible.
New Deodexed ZVC
Some info:
All apps are there now - minus Qualcom - added Google Keyboard
Zipaligned
_____________________________________________________________________________
New Stripped version - all apps that update with the other versions have been removed. This gives /system some breathing room. I'm still keeping it close to Original
Stripped ZVC
Zipaligned
Removed:
Chrome
GMail
Google - Books, Movies, Music, Magazines, Videos
Google Search - The space is there, but it'll be blank until you download it
Google text to speech - You must download this to have voice texting and Search. Then enable it in settings
Google +
Hangouts
Google Maps
You Tube
__________________________________________________________________
Older Versions
Directions - and DO read this!!
V1 Keyboard info:
The keyboard is in /data. So when this first boots, go to Settings>Language & Input, and select as Default or you wont have a keyboard. It's the Google keyboard.
If you want the LG Keyboard, DL from HERE. In TWRP, wipe caches, install. Then DL Xposed framework from HERE, and install. Reboot. Now you have both keyboards. (Stealyourface figured this out.)
I made a V2 since we already have to go into settings, we might as well have both keyboards.
V2 Keyboard info:
Both are installed. LG will force close until you select Google Keyboard in settings. Then no more FC'ing.
Same to use LG Keyboard - install Xposed Framework
DOWNLOAD-V1
DOWNLOAD-V2
More info:
Zipaligned
Missing - Hangouts, Magazines, Qualcom, Music2, LG keyboard, LatinIME-spellchecker.
First boot can take up to 4min, so be patient.
Kernel will say ShabbyPenguin, but it's stock ZVC

Wow, didn't mean to get everyone riled up lol. The thank you was to the original poster engine95, I hit the wrong button. I have been playing with the kitkat ROM and my back up was corrupted, thus it was very helpful to find a stock rooted ROM. Anyway... Merry Xmas and thanks, it was very helpful.

New version of Deodexed Stock
This updated version has ALL the LG markings/files. Kernel is also stock LG. You don't have to update to this. Unless you want.
Still has LG Keyboard issue, so read the OP!
I'm keeping this as close to Original Stock as possible, just cuz.
Deodexed
Zipaligned
All apps included - except Qualcom
Google keyboard included - You must enable on first boot. READ OP!
Look for a Stripped version soon. All apps that get updated will be removed. They end up in /data when you update anyway.
New Stripped version in OP - make sure you read about it.
If this goes any further, it'll have it's own thread. Maybe we can talk @PartimusPrime and @HPTesla to get to Theming!

I want to but with work as hectic as it's been I have almost zero free time. I've been working on a vanir bootanimation for weeks. That being said, I am starting to buckle down and work on this sort of stuff. So, theming is next. Then when I get my new PC I will start building as well. I'd love to change up the Android UI, most roms look the exact same to me.

What you got in mind bro? I have 0 experience in theming ROMs but I can create graphics and boot animations. Let me know what you need and if you can plug it in where it goes in the ROM we can do it :victory:
Hit me up on Hangouts if you'd think we can work on something: [email protected] :good::good:

While I haven't done it, it doesn't seem too difficult. Just a matter of decompiling the apks, and modifying the graphics in the res folder, then recompiling the apk. That's the basics, if you want to get really into it you can start modifying the xml files as well.
@PartimusPrime
While I don't prefer it, I think alot of people would like to see a dark themed ROM. I'll get you on Hangouts on a few. @HPTesla your bootani looks like it'll be worth checking out! Nice

It might. But I think you just need to switch apn's. There's a thread for Ting that I think has pageplus info.

Backups here are a great idea.
If it does mess up the flash (most likely due to APNs) that's where a backup of the ROM and EFS come into the action.
