Hi, everyone:
I downloaded the myONEv zip file form link and put it under sd card root /myONEv_RC9.5_FX+CDMA.zip
then I entered into recovery mode and did a full wipe of cache, factory reset, and system reset.
then I selected install from sd card.
however the process was failed and said the zip file is not recognized. (BTW, I used the same way to install x3remesensev5 rom)
The TWRP version I used is V2.5.0.0
could you help?
thanks.

2.3 works on X3reme Sense.
Try wiping like you did, redownload the Rom once more, copy it to the SD card, reboot recovery and flash again. See what happens.
So aroma doesn't open?

I still never understood why rebooting recovery sometime works. Apart from that, thats alot of updating Partitions. So I figured hopefully rebooting works.

1. Does myONEv support latest OTA? Because I flashed PACman once and it kept rebooting. It is an issue for many custom ROMs.
2. "So aroma doesn't open?", what is aroma?
thanks a lot.

no I dont think so that it supports the latest ota..
Aroma is a type of graphical installer which lets you select some very imortant options while installing a custom rom...its very user friendly + you also get to know whats about to happen next during the procedure of flashing roms.... myOneV rom has an aroma installer...:good:

Evening all,
unrevoked, Clockwork mod 2.5.0.7, currently on auraxtsense 7.5.2
Trying to update to latest version of this rom 7.8.1, or Supervillain or any other rom and it doesn't work?
Get in to recovery, select required rom, it flashes very quickly but then cancels with an I/O error?
Any advice please?
Cheers
Done my friends fine, but can't do my own?!
got a similar problem - but I can't flash 7.9 ... can flash 7.8.1
any other roms - I can't ...
P.S. Trying to unroot and root again...

Try downloading that ROM again, maybe .zip is corrupted or something.

Exactly what I was going to recommend do wipe data and cache before.
I dont know the ROM you use but usually custom roms have their own app where you can flash updates without needing to go to recovery mod, I do not know if that is the case of your ROM but you better check it.
Before any changes, Nandroid and Titanium Backup, then full wipe of data, cache, dalvik.
Have downloaded roms from both Swedish and US servers for AuraxT, and have taken Supervillan 4 times now?
Could the sd card be causing the problem? It's a Sandisk 8GB class 6.

Well, it could... I have "noname" 32 GB Class4 card which used to give me erorr when flashing... I don't remember what erorr it was but it might be the same...
That mine sdcard is defective. I can't even copy image correctly on it... Will burn it soon
So, try flashing with another sdcard

So I installed CWM recovery, and installed the rmk root setup zip. Before I installed it, I wiped the cache but not the Dalvik cache. When I rebooted, it hung on the white HTC screen. I went back into recovery and wiped dalvik cache, cache and even data and settings, then installed the zip again and it still hangs. can somebody help me? Honestly at this point I just want to be able to use my phone again.
Thanks in advance
Did you install the root zip that included the froyo stock kernel? I made the same mistake. Just have to adb a compatible 2.3 kernel into your sdcard and flash it.

i'm pretty sure this is the zip i used. if thats what you're talking about, then how do I fix it?
You cant use that .zip because it uses the Froyo kernal which is incompatible. You have to push jcase's GB kernal to your sd card then flash that.
I'm sorry for the stupid question, and thank you so much for your help, but where can i find that? and what commands do I use to push the kernel to the phone?
Have no fear as long as you can get into CWM then you are still good.
How long does it hang, sometimes it takes a few minutes for that HTC screen to go away, especially if you wiped data. you might want to wait, a little bit.
You can always download a stock rom(jcase plainjane rom), get into CWM, and then mount your USB to be able to install from your computer, and then flash the new rom.
Did you make a backup before you flashed the update, you can always recover.

If you can get into CWM, look for Mounts/Storage and mount your USB so you can access your Phones SD card from your computer, then transfer the file from your computer to your phone.
or use adb if you are familiar with that.
you did get S-Off first right?
yes i have s-off, no i did not make a recovery (i wasnt aware i could do that before i rooted but i have come to terms with the fact that I lost a bunch of data).
okay, so i put the file on my sd card and... what? is it a zip file? where can i find it?
just so i understand, once I get this rooted kernel, i will be rooted and i will be able to install the cwm app and go from there?
and i don't necessarily want the stock rooted... i guess i could go from there but for right now could i download a 2.3 kernel with a different rom? are kernels bundled with roms or do i need to install them separately?
sorry, i'm a new user so i keep having to wait 5 minutes...
Kernels, can be rom specific or bundled but currently for the dinc2 there arent a lot so make sure it doesnt say it belongs to a specific rom otherwise it might not work.
Jcase has a stock kernel and rom he put up a while back for gingerbread.
They will be a .zip file and all you have to do is using recovery choose zip file and run it, since you already deleted everything.
When you install a rom, it will add su and busybox, and root your phone. You need your phone rooted to be able to do anything, after S-off.
if you have recovery installed then you have CWM and really what you want is Rom Manager to do backups.

tiamat kernel is an AOSP kernel. for CM7/MIUI/OM(F)GB
you'll get bootloops if you flash it on a sense rom.
so should i flash that, then flash something like MIUI? can i do that? and do i have to wipe data/cache/dalvik before the kernel AND before i install MIUI?
thanks

I would get a Rom working first which is your OS, the kernel jut says how it should run.
but apparently i have a froyo kernel installed right now? how should I fix that?

1/ Download and put the CM7.2 nightly zip from Alquez on your SD card root.
2/ Go into CWM Recovery
3/ Wipe Data/Factory reset
4/ Wipe Dalvik
5/ Format System from Mounts
6/ Install Zip from SD and choose CM72 Nightly ZIP
7/ Install Zip from SD and choose CM7x GAPPS
8/ When done reboot to your clean CM7.2 install
So, for now, we can delete Rom Manager then?

It's non sense ROM.
I didn't like it too, so I just flashed sense rom.
Anyway, you can install any launcher you like, and use it as default one.
About google account.
That ROM doesn't have anything to do with google's apps, so you'll have to install gapps.
Find it somewhere, latest version is from 28.8.2011 I think.
It's .zip file, just flash it through recovery.

Can anybody help with CWM7 ?
I've tried to load this onto my phone but I keep failing. The app does not load. I cannot access any recovery, albeit standard or CWM. Everytime I try from the the bootloader screen and enter recovery, The phone gives me a Black Screen with a Picture and a Red Triangle in the middle and nothing else happens. I then have to reboot the phone.
Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something.
Is there a step by step guide to help make this work for me.
I have searched for a couple of days now and I cannot find anything that for me.
My phone is S-ON and Bootloader Unlocked via HTC-Devs.
Any help from you experts out there will be appreciated, even if it's just pointing me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for starting this thread. When i do a search for "bootloop" all threads have at least 500 postings and i really don't want to spend all day trying to find the part that pertains to this.
I've tried and tried to flash an ics rom (any ics rom) and today decided to flash cm9 stable. Still the same problem...stuck in a bootloop.
Btw. I always clear all 3 caches 3-5 times.
I would assume my problem is with ROM Manager/ because when I go back and load my backup, it says the md5 sum is missing or doesn't match. I'm a;lways able to find one of my backups that match. Any suggestions?

If you have access to a computer, download the ROM you want to flash, and if you can boot into recovery on your phone do that and mount your sd card. You should be able to move the file via USB to your phone and flash it.

What recovery are you using? It is a known issue when flashing CM9, if you use non-touch recovery and you use it to wipe your cache partition, you will hang during boot. Download TDJ,s cache wipe script to the same sd card as your ROM. After your done flashing CM9 & Gaaps, flash his cache wipe script as your last step, and you should be able to boot up. His scripts are stickied. Some say they don't have this issue, but a lot do and can't get past the booty screen. Good luck and let us know.
Thanks for the help. I just flashed CWM Touch and it solved the problem. I'm now rockin' CM 9.0!
Help, I will describe the following and any help I would love. I have the PRIMOC VM usa HTC ONE V.
Using Hasoon2000's All in one toolkit I have successfully Unlocked my phone, flashed TWRP recover 2.4.4, got root, and made a backup.
I then continue on to wipe cache and system and Factory reset to prepare to install ANY ROM. When I try to install the rom every time it just says Error in /sdcard/...[wherever rom is] (Status 1) FAILED
So then I proceed to restore my backup (this is why you always make a backup) and that works fine
Does the "(Status 1)" mean anything important?
I thought this was happening because I was running the newer radio so I used the RUU tool and now am using the good radio (not 0928) But this did not fix anything. This same thing happens over again. I have checked to make sure and I do have full root privileges.
I then tried to flash boot.img first and jmz kernel flashed successfully, but no rom will flash.
Why will NO ROM install?
I feel like I am missing something obvious but can't figure it out.
Also, whenever I do the factory restore it goes through all the process then fails when trying to wipe sd:ext , but my card is not partitioned. <I didn't know if that would be any help>
I am not a complete newb at all of this (running lg optimus for years- just new to the htc methods)
NEED Help please...
Can anyone help me out with this?
I have not made any progress since yesterday. I am successful at flashing kernels, I have flashed the boot.img of the sic kernel, but on both kernels I have no WiFi with the stock ROM.
So I either need to find the stock boot.img or have help flashing a ROM that fails everytime.
When every instruction says "Extract ROM" that is only to pull out the boot.img right, we don't flash an extracted package you flash exactly what you downloaded right?

Hi Obeezy562,
my advice is to use the recovery program CMW or TWRP to re-format your external SD card. Then follow the normal instrutions and install the rom from zip using your recovery program. If you still have the same issue just let me know and I'll ponder longer.

Ok, so tonight I will reformat my sdcard with TWRP then try to install the ROM. I tried the CWM recovery, but it was not touch based and did not respond to the power button as the OK, only the volume rocker worked.
I will try CWM recovery if someone can provide a link to the latest one, perhaps I was using an old one.
Twrp 2.4.4 I've also had issues with flashing some roms then downgraded to Twrp 2.2.0 and everything has been well since
