Removed warnings since it was tested on maguro and reported to be ok
Since it is just a repack, no issues are expected here
So if I read the link correctly, this has the ability to switch where your sd partition is located to easily switch to jb 4.1? If it is that would be sweet

Needs a reboot to take effect
OK so to flash this I would do fastboot flash recovery in adb right? Because the file is a .img and in your linked post it just has instructions for zip and the Odin files

No.
As it is a Nexus, probably not. But wouldn't hurt to be on the proper bootloader made for this version of Android. Obviously something changed or it wouldnt have a new version.

I haven't noticed a difference. I'm still waiting for the gapps to finish, but i flashed the maguro ROM, and it is fast.
Is there a MD5? Flash kept failing for me.
UPDATE: I downloaded again, and flash is still failing. Has anyone been able to flash this?
What is the proper size of the .zip? Copy never works properly for me and will complete before its ready.

Won't work for me either.

Yeah I'll give it a try. I'm not hopeful though, because the devhost zip is the same size as what I got from the copy link, and the one from copy won't flash. Are they different in any way?

Default [RECOVERY] [10/5/13] TWRP 2.6.3.2 - TeamWin Recovery Project
TeamWin is proud to present TWRP 2.6.3.2 for the Galaxy Note 3 (T-Mobile)!
Youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIvWVS_Rkxo
Special credits:
Dees_Troy for quick porting.
agrabren for writing the initial TWRP GUI code.
AssassinsLament and Dees_Troy for initial TWRP code
CRudner and Reb0rn for testing
Full TeamWin credits are on the TWRP page on the TeamWin website: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2
Introduction:
Team Win Recovery Project 2.6, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Key Features:
Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout – true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups – now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
Onscreen keyboard
Decryption of /data
Easy selection of internal/external storage
See changelog below for 2.6 features
Older Releases
What's new in 2.4:
-Using libtar instead of busybox's tar for better control over tar file creation and breaking the 2GB barrier that busybox imposes
-Support for exFAT formatted sdcards
-Support for decrypting Samsung TouchWiz encrypted devices including internal and external storage (special thanks to a3955269 for figuring it out)
-Improvements to OpenRecoveryScript including displaying a proper GUI while the script is running
-Added wipe cache and dalvik after ADB Sideload
-Replaced many system calls with their native C counterparts
-Fixed bugs in file manager where it would display an empty list after moving or deleting a folder
-Fixed AOSP recovery commands to run after decryption on encrypted devices
-Other minor bugfixes and improvements
-cm10.1 build support
What's new in 2.3:
-Rebased onto AOSP Jelly Bean source code
-Rewrote backup, restore, wipe, and mount code in C++ classes for easier maintenance going forward
NOTE: backups from prior versions of TWRP are still compatible with 2.3
-ADB sideload functionality from AOSP is included in 2.3, see this link for more info
-Re-wrote fix permissions entirely in C++ and runs in a few seconds instead of a few minutes (thanks to bigbiff)
-Improvements to zip finding in OpenRecoveryScript (should be a lot fewer GooManager automation issues)
-Faster boot times
-Added charging indicator while in recovery (only updates once every 60 seconds)
While this update may not bring a host of new must-have features, this update is a significant re-write of much of the core TWRP code. AOSP Jelly Bean recovery source moved to mostly C++ code and now all of the "TWRP" code is fully rewritten into C++ as well. Now that we've laid this groundwork, we're in a much better position to pull in future AOSP recovery updates as well as implementing more great new features.
Since TWRP 2.3 is based on AOSP jelly bean sources, TWRP now uses recovery API 3 instead of 2. Some zips may no longer work if the developer is using an out-of-date update-binary. This API change should not be a problem on newer devices, but older devices will probably encounter several zips that need to be updated. If needed, you can try using this update-binary that was compiled with current sources. It goes in your zip file in the META-INF/com/google/android folder.
What's new in 2.2:
On-screen keyboard! -- supports long press, backspace repeat, and swipe left deletes everything left of the cursor
Name new backups before creation and rename existing backups
Rename files and folders in the file manager
Pseudo-terminal emulator
Support decrypting an encrypted data partition on Galaxy Nexus (enter password using keyboard)
Backup archive splitting -- allows backup and restore of data partitions larger than 2GB
Simplified XML layout support between resolutions
Added dual storage selection radio buttons to zip install, backup, and restore pages
Improved zip install compatibility
Updated update-binary source code
Numerous small bug fixes and improvements
What was new in 2.1:
Zip queuing as seen in TWRP 1.1.x is back
Slider control (swipe to confirm most actions aka swipe to wipe)
Lockscreen (with slider to unlock)
Basic file manager (copy, move, delete, and chmod any file)
Added support for devices with /data/media (most Honeycomb tablets, new ICS devices like Galaxy Nexus)
Displays sizes of each partition in the backup menu
Added listbox GUI element (currently used for listing time zones)
Updated stock XML layouts to be more consistent and easier to port to different resolutions
XML layout files are significantly smaller
Partitions available backup are more accurate for some devices
Removed unneeded error messages (/misc errors, unable to stat sd-ext, etc.)
Fixed a bug with blkid detection code
Fixed bug where a blank line was inserted between every line of text during zip installs
Fixed a bug during zip installs where an invalid zip would cause TWRP to get stuck in the zip install
Added setting for themers to toggle simulation mode to make theming easier
New devices added - Galaxy Nexus GSM & CDMA (preview only, manual install), Acer Iconia Tab A500, HTC Vivid, Motorola Defy
Added support for .jpg images in the theme engine
Changed images for stock tablet theme - makes tablet builds about 500KB smaller
Removed unneeded non-GUI images from GUI - makes all builds about 100KB smaller
In addition to the above new features, TWRP 2.2 features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe cache & dalvik, and run a backup.
We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open source project.

Works fine on N9008, thank you very much, finally a decent recovery
Using 2.6.3.1, 2.6.3.2 download gives error 404 as someone else said.
I confirm that I cannot download 2.6.3.2 either.
There are two links in the list:
openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-hltetmo.tar
penrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.2-hltetmo.tar (without the "o" in the filename)
.. but none works, its probably gone from the server or the name has been somehow changed without updating the links too.
However, questions for those who tried the Recovery - did you try the root the phone using the recovery? And can you delete/reset all traces of root or custom modification from the device in case you'll need to use the warranty ? Thank you for quick reply.
Yeah the devs derped the upload of 2.6.3.2 - neither of the two downloads (typo and no typo) work, both are 404. Been like that since yesterday afternoon. Running 2.6.3.1 for now.

Once you modify ANY of the phone's partitions, you trip the KNOX_WARRANTY_VOID flag in the bootloader.
With twrp 2.6.3.1...anyone who has sucessfuly created backup and restored without issues? Just asking becoz the cwm recovery still cannot restore properly.

Thanks for your hard work! Still waiting on a SM-N9005 version. Not really sure what's required for that or if the above is compatible, but I'm happy to wait until goomanager has a compatible one =)
Is this only ccompatible with the T-Mobile variant and do backup and restore work without problems?

thanks for making this discussion thread man
okay let me start my first post here. i guess the feature we're missing atm is sdcard swap.
theoretically this should be done on ramdisk because we can't find vold.fstab anymore. i haven't got time to test this but i think swapping through ramdisk modification should be working

You can use adb shell like above.
Or the easiest way is using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2401988 by hornet and educk
There is "Flash RECOVERY" function on "Tools" tab.

yes I confirm your theory in a 4.4 galasxy s rom i read this:
Kernel for switching internal & external SD
Because vold.fstab is no longer used and has been integrated in fstab.aries (which can only be changed before compiling the kernel, as it ends up in the ramdisk), I made a special kernel version with switched SD cards:
he make two kernel, one normal and one with swap SD

Add MTP support to recovery thanks mostly to bigbiff with a little help from Dees_Troy
Add command line capabilities – you can now execute various TWRP features via adb instead of the touchscreen
Add support for color in the console and give error, warning, and highlight lines different colors
Track backup and restore progress based on file sizes to provide a much more accurate indication of progress
Improve handling of /misc thanks to mdmower
Improve setting of time on Qualcomm devices thanks to [NUT]
Allow using images on slidervalue GUI objects thanks to Tassadar
Allow using variables and addition and subtraction in variables for easier theming
Add support for 1440×2560, 280×280, and 320×320 resolutions and update 240×240
Allow ui.xml file to include additional xml files to help break up the theme and make TWRP easier to maintain
Other minor fixes and improvements
What's new in 2.7.1.1 from 20140720?
upstream changes in TWRP
updated kernel
device updates
What new in 2.7.1.0 from 20140612?
full f2fs support for S3 Mini!
What's new in 2.7.1.0?
Add GUI option to change or repair file systems on individual partitions. The change is destructive so backup your data including internal sdcard first. This option should make it a little easier to migrate a device from ext4 -> f2fs, for instance. You will find this option under Wipe -> Advanced Wipe, then select only one partition and then press the Repair or Change File System button. If a developer has added f2fs support for your device and we don’t have it in TWRP, please contact me via PM to arrange for it to be added.
Various bugfixes to backup and restore
Improvements to USB storage handling
Added a class to search for files to make finding the correct brightness file automatic in most cases
Various other bugfixes and tweaks
What's new in 2.7.0.0?
Faster graphics rendering by disabling alpha blending on fully opaque objects thanks to Tassadar
Allow sideloading from /tmp on encrypted devices
Check for a crypto footer before asking for a password to prevent user confusion
Additional checks for validity to auto generated backup names
Text wrap in the console output
Proper caps lock support in the keyboard
Mouse support via USB OTG for devices with a broken digitizer
Improve scanning of storage locations for OpenRecoveryScript
Haptic feedback for buttons, keyboard, and vibration at the end of longer running actions
Fixed ext4 wiping when no selinux contexts are defined for that partition (e.g. sd-ext)
Update SuperSU to 1.93 and improve installation process
Added selinux contexts restoration to fix permissions
Load RTC offset on Qualcomm devices to fix the date/time in recovery
USB Mass Storage fixes Add SELinux support checking
Add Disk Usage class to better handle excluded folders (e.g. Google Music cache)
Add 4.4 decrypt support

TWRP Backup and restore from and to sdcard works. Also apps like helium works with my 32gb sdcard.
Also ok for me. Thanks for fast reply guys!
Ok, i flash recovery and works fine. What about SElinux, is still disabled?
Backup to and restore from extSd is working without any issue for me. Good work!
Btw : I like the Panda in recovery
Silly question maybe...
Why use this one when the official TWRP (now at 2.7.0.1) is available? Is there a subtle difference that means this works when theirs doesn't?
(Edt: having asked the dumb question - I discover that the "official" download appears to be a 10 KB empty tar file! *laughs*)

With TWRP
Project Status: No Longer Updated
"As I mentioned before, I have a lot of new important projects in my real life. I am very happy to abandon this project for real life alternatives.
CWM is a dead project for now, until some dev resurrects it. I was about to do, until these new projects came.
Current version will probably work a while for many devices. Some devices with new ROM installers could have issues. Just use TWRP or the CM Simple Recovery
If the current version works for you, there is no reason you don't use it though. No need to ***** in all threads because it doesn't work for you. Just move on to other alternatives."

Only jflteatt and jfltevzw do
We have to set ro.loki_disabled to 1 for all other variants in libinit_jflte

6.29.9 (27.04.2014)
- merge "Recovery: swap XY on swipe controls"
- shell pipe: set exit code to error if any pipe element fails
* this was causing backup state to be reported good while tar command failed
This is in my opinion an important bug fix to nandroid backup reliability
It is affecting all CWM recoveries since first versions
Basically, if the tar operation fails, the backup could be still reported to be done correctly.
Example: corrupted partition backed up. Backup process shows good, but we end up with a truncated small backup we cannot restore later

Can you build 6.29.9?
I think this is important fix even it's only 0.1 version increase?
